the neon sign for stadium inn

I'm a sucker for a good dive. Stadium Inn has been in business for the better half of a century. Right off the DU campus, I'd assume this is a hot spot for the college crowd. We came here on a Friday night after dinner nearby. The signage alone is enough to draw you in. One thing I love about these old buildings is that you have no idea what's on the inside just based on its appearance. As we walked in, I made an audible sigh of relief. Yep, this is just what I wanted. This is one of the divier dives I've frequented in Denver. One bar with the room divided into two sections. Lots of booths, TV's, random pictures and signs on the walls, two pool tables and one bartender serving about 20 people on a Friday night. Beer and a shot for $5? Say no more. Montucky and Evan Williams was my potion for the evening. Inflation is nowhere to be found in the little abyss of Stadium Inn. You're not ordering a craft cocktail by any means, but you don't miss it here. They have some picnic tables outside near the smokers corner, so if the weather obliges park your keister on the patio. Like any dive, the bathrooms have seen better days. There's essentially a trough in the men's room. I was gonna let you figure it out for yourself. But whatever, there's your spoiler alert. It won't kill you, maybe you'll make a new friend while you're there! Solid dive. Will return to this Denver classic!

Dive bar. Nothing special. Service is ok, I felt like I was waiting a long time just for one drink and it wasn't very crowded.

&stad (ium Inn) beats ceeg, (C&G) hands down, but pete's tacos are fire and that's indisputable.

Ordering was electronic, everything came out incredibly fast, and most importantly, the food and drinks were delicious. I also really appreciated the family-friendly and pet-friendly environment. My daughter has dogs, and I'm allergic, so when I visit her in Colorado I don't get to spend time at her house. But at the same time, I feel bad if we're out all day/night and her dogs are left home alone. Finding places that are dog-friendly (but outdoors) where I can keep a comfortable distance from pet hair and dander is the perfect compromise for us. Each visit, we're always on the lookout for places like this, and I'm so glad we finally tried Denver Beer Co. It checked all the boxes and made our time together that much more enjoyable... and the dogs loved all of the pets they got from the other customers! We'll definitely be back on future visits.

Really great vibes!…read more DBC has a huge outdoor area, so plenty of picnic tables for outdoor seating. On really hot days the few shaded spots go first so there may not be opportunity for cooler spots. The indoors is fairly small but on nice days the garage doors will be open. Beer is a good variety and has all the favorites. Princess Yum Yum is always a hit. Food is actually really good for a brewery. The wings and duck fat fries are a highlight. Burger is pretty good but they don't allow any substitutions. Service can be hit or miss, sometimes they are friendly and sometimes they forget about you and give you attitude. Right next door is Right Cream so you can enjoy ice cream after your beers and food.

I ordered the Speed Queen (their espresso martini twist) -- bold and balanced. Bob had the Garden Bloody Mary, and Jeremiah went with a custom hot coffee cocktail crafted with help from our fantastic server, Megan. For brunch, the Cowboy Quiche had an incredibly flaky crust with potatoes and green chile (I added beef birria -- worth it). The chorizo breakfast tacos were also a hit. The vibe is warm and eclectic with a subtle goldfinch theme, plus they host DJs and events throughout the week and offer patio seating for warmer months. Holy cannoli, if you haven't been to this place you are missing out! Next level atmosphere that will make you feel fancy! I love a place that makes me feel like I walked into a hip, invitation only, upscale environment! But guess what no invite or reservation necessary! Oh, and free parking! Show up with pals and hang out in the outdoor covered space or at the inside cozy tables with swivel chairs like you wish you had at home! They have some more private smaller seating areas kinda in a corner if you need to discuss hot topics over a cocktail or beer. They do serve food which I will go back and try one day. When I showed up I just wanted a cool drink and the cucumber refresher was so what I needed to keep my energy up on a hot day! We had a friendly, nice waitress that moved here recently from Arkansas. Definitely would sit in her section next time I visit! I really have to start taking names because no matter where I go around Colorado the people are awesome!
