It's mostly standing room for shows, save for one or two small high top tables near the bar. Drinks are good and they have a decent cocktail list. I ordered a drink that had Jones Family gin. We came on a cold night, and it was chilly inside, so I'd suggest to dress warmly in the winter. Cash and card are accepted at the bar, and there is an ATM machine if needed. The restrooms are what you'd expect for a dive bar, so keep that in mind! Overall a cool place to see local shows and smaller travel acts.

It's nice to find somewhere in Denver, that has good alcohol (they're not serving Gordon's vodka), at very reasonable prices. Bartender was friendly, and mixes a good, stiff drink. I have since had a kid and don't drink anymore, but their food is SO ABSOLUTELY AMAZING I keep coming back. I think that even people who don't particularly enjoy the music or ambiance also frequent this spot, because the food is just that good. I definitely would recommend their Brisket Sammy. My son loves their grilled cheese, and their chicken tenders are also delicious. Do NOT skip the Holla Pena Lollipoppas, and make sure to get an extra side of the raspberry jalapeño jam to dip your tots or fries in!

I don't want to say our server was slow, but she wasn't really present, and thus our service was slow/off. I love the chicken sandwich here with the buffalo sauce, but there was almost zero buffalo sauce on it this time. The fried parts all fell off while trying to eat, and so I was left with a normal chicken sandwich. One bright spot was the egg rolls, as always, and the buried fries. I love Brutal Poodle, but the other night was an off night for sure.

God, I love this place…read more It had been a hot minute. I was in the area the other night and already made plans to come here after my work event. Candlelight is one of Denver's best dives and it's not even close. You're greeted by iconic signage, similar to what you see on Colfax. Remember this is Wash Park, so it sticks out more than usual. And I say that as a unwavering compliment. Happy hour deals every day of the week, some of them even lasting through close. Mondays are burger nights and Wednesdays are wing nights. Currently $7 on either of those nights! I haven't had this burger in a long long time. Upon first bite, steaming hot burger juice splattered onto my hand. I still see the burn nearly two days later. Was it worth it? Of course it was. Fluffy bun, melty cheese, and meaty burgerness. A little overcooked for my liking, but you're not making a fuss at a place like this. Prices are shockingly good. Inflation proof! Pool, darts, tv's, all the dive bar staples are here. A $20 bill goes a long way here. Food runs until 11:30pm every night!

I went to Denver for a girls' getaway with one of my besties and she knows that I love to dance and…read moreabsolutely love 80's music, so she found The Delorean for us. I looked online and found that they were hosting an all Vinyl 80's dance party with no cover charge on Saturday night... how cool is that!! So, we took a rideshare from Downtown to The Delorean. I am not familiar with that area of town, but there looked to be several bars and restaurants nearby. Anyway, upon entering, we were immediately greeted with a library of cassette tapes. Then, we wandered further to see lots of neon lights and neon carpeting, cases of nostalgia featuring various toys and games from the 80's, as well as lot's of music posters. The cocktail menu was super cool, with drinks named after 80's songs and movies. There was a fun little photo booth in back. I ordered a Pretty in Pink cocktail, which featured jasmine and rose gin with champagne and elderflower liquor with a huge champagne bubble. My friend ordered the She-Ra Colada because it came it a really cute Tiki cup. I think she enjoyed it because she ordered a second. That night, there was an Ape (yes a man in an ape suit) playing 80's vinyl all night. Also, he was giving away records. If you enjoyed a song, you could ask and he would give you the record after it finished playing. I brought home a single by the Klymaxx (Meeting in the Ladies' Room). My friend and I had an absolute blast. We danced the night away and made 80's music-loving friends who we shared stories with about various 80's bands. A server wearing Strawberry Shortcake served us drinks at our table all night. The only bummer is that the dance night went from 9- midnight. After the Ape DJ left, the music was a bit on the quiet side, so we left rather than staying to dance, as the dance party had ended and it was still early. All in all, though I was disappointed, as I wanted to dance until 2AM, The Delorean was still one of my absolute favorite experiences during my Denver weekend stay.

This event had no cover charge. They have a wraparound bar with full service. No food. The energy level was high. A tequila sponsor, Cambio was offering free shots. I had a Negroni made with Cambio Tequila Blanco at a discounted price of $9. The regular price for a mezcal Negroni is $15. Very good. Indie 102.3 hosts also did short versions of the top 15 bands from 2025. A nice evening.

At the time they said it's something they're doing in partnership with the Denver Public Library (DPL) every other month on a Tuesday night. We saw an osbcure, older blaxploitation superhero film that was funny at times! Probably not intentionally, or was it? I have no idea! They DPL even had a card maker for you to get a new library card! And told me about Kanopy, an app I can sign up for with DPL and watch free movies at home! They also had some free magnets of the movie, which was pretty cool. The bar had a video game in there and I think they may have music sometimes, too. Wasn't able to confirm (I was watching a movie and getting my library card & magnet!).
