To respect the event I was attending, my objective at Trash Hawk was to obtain a ginger beer to have with my burger. They did not have ginger beer but offered ginger ale. They sat down a drink in my vicinity that had a lime with it and it took a sip, and it turned out to be a margarita that belonged to a nice lady. I was confused why there was a lime. The bartender gave me my ginger ale and made the lady a new margarita. Being a trash panda aficionado, I was delighted with the aesthetics of the place. Someday when I'm not striving for sobriety, I'll be back.

We came on a cold night, and it was chilly inside, so I'd suggest to dress warmly in the winter. Cash and card are accepted at the bar, and there is an ATM machine if needed. For drinks, The bartender was able to use well tequila to make a delicious marg. The Gwarled Cheese is a must get. It was the best grilled cheese I've ever had in my life. There was cheese toasted onto the outside of the bread. And inside there's more cheese, pork belly, and tomato sauce. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. I looked online and found that they were hosting an all Vinyl 80's dance party with no cover charge on Saturday night... how cool is that!! So, we took a rideshare from Downtown to The Delorean. I am not familiar with that area of town, but there looked to be several bars and restaurants nearby. Anyway, upon entering, we were immediately greeted with a library of cassette tapes. Then, we wandered further to see lots of neon lights and neon carpeting, cases of nostalgia featuring various toys and games from the 80's, as well as lot's of music posters. The cocktail menu was super cool, with drinks named after 80's songs and movies. There was a fun little photo booth in back. I ordered a Pretty in Pink cocktail, which featured jasmine and rose gin with champagne and elderflower liquor with a huge champagne bubble. My friend ordered the She-Ra Colada because it came it a really cute Tiki cup. I think she enjoyed it because she ordered a second. That night, there was an Ape (yes a man in an ape suit) playing 80's vinyl all night. Also, he was giving away records. If you enjoyed a song, you could ask and he would give you the record after it finished playing. I brought home a single by the Klymaxx (Meeting in the Ladies' Room). My friend and I had an absolute blast. We danced the night away and made 80's music-loving friends who we shared stories with about various 80's bands. A server wearing Strawberry Shortcake served us drinks at our table all night. The only bummer is that the dance night went from 9- midnight. After the Ape DJ left, the music was a bit on the quiet side, so we left rather than staying to dance, as the dance party had ended and it was still early. All in all, though I was disappointed, as I wanted to dance until 2AM, The Delorean was still one of my absolute favorite experiences during my Denver weekend stay.

This event had no cover charge. They have a wraparound bar with full service. No food. The energy level was high. A tequila sponsor, Cambio was offering free shots. I had a Negroni made with Cambio Tequila Blanco at a discounted price of $9. The regular price for a mezcal Negroni is $15. Very good. Indie 102.3 hosts also did short versions of the top 15 bands from 2025. A nice evening.

At the time they said it's something they're doing in partnership with the Denver Public Library (DPL) every other month on a Tuesday night. We saw an osbcure, older blaxploitation superhero film that was funny at times! Probably not intentionally, or was it? I have no idea! They DPL even had a card maker for you to get a new library card! And told me about Kanopy, an app I can sign up for with DPL and watch free movies at home! They also had some free magnets of the movie, which was pretty cool. The bar had a video game in there and I think they may have music sometimes, too. Wasn't able to confirm (I was watching a movie and getting my library card & magnet!).

That was expected because of the holiday. Another line for drinks inside, but also went by quickly. We snagged a booth and stayed a while. We had a decent time and I'm glad we made the stop. Would visit again, but not needing to. Would love yo see the vibe on a non-Holiday night. Very divey but also spacious. There's also a small smoking area/patio.
