4 tacos is the most aesthetic number

Who would've thought there'd be great tacos/quesadillas at a liquor store with the entire cast of Dragon Ball Z on the side of the building? Obviously I didn't! But apparently a lot of people do and come here lining up around the aisles of the liquor store for their lunch break! Two ladies work the front of the liquor store/taqueria counter to make all the tacos, quesadillas, and combo plates! They throw down the quesadillas and chop the prepared meat right when you order. Overall really enjoyed it for a filling (but not filling to the point of debilitating) lunch! Definitely choose from the stewed meats they have at the front--Chile Colorado among others are well seasoned, tender, and delicious on tacos (and probably rice!). Carnitas were also flavorful and tender, though I have a slight preference on crispy carnitas. I loved their salsa on my quesadillas--large, cheesy, but not overly greasy! Personally I would skip the carne asada here--just cubed beef relative to all the other wonderful meats. Also got a horchata. At first it seemed a bit watered down since it had less cinnamon than others I have had. However, with spicy tacos, I changed my mind because it didn't overpower the tacos and helped cool them down:) Would definitely come again if I was in the SJ area!

Came here per several recommendations: Carne Asada Super Burrito- 11.99 Good size burrito, have leftovers Decent flavor of carne asada, little dry Salsa has no spice or much flavor sadly Plus 1 that it was not greasy or leaking juices Overall for the price, size I would give it 3.5/5 stars, decent but wouldn't come out of my way to get one again

Stopped in here in town per a recco from a friend who used to live nearby. Medium chicken burrito, chips and topo chico. SO good.

Chili relleno burrito that had no beans or salsa.

I went here for lunch and ordered a chili relleno burrito. There were a couple people in front of me but the line moved quickly. I ordered and the server made my burrito without asking any questions are saying anything to me. I was talking to my coworker so I wasn't closely watching it be made. After we got back to work we realized that there were no beans and no salsa, the burrito was rice and the chili relleno only. Ive never gotten a burrito that didn't come with beans, cheese, and salsa. Had it only been one burrito I could believe that it was a mistake but both burritos were made the same way. After all the good things I've heard about this place I was very disappointed. I didn't realize that you have to specify "beans, salsa, cheese" on a regular burrito. On a positive note the chili relleno was delicious and had the burrito been filled with regular burrito accompaniment (beans, salsa, cheese) it would have been a great lunch.

Been coming here since I was young, mom use to bring me here back in the 80's for their chicharrón burritos, and still come here 2019...it's changed a bit but still good and very affordable. Thank you guys keep up the great food...lol

Alright, sometimes you find the best food in places you'd least expect, this was one of those times. I've walked past this place several times while exploring around San Jose but never ventured in, I saw taqueria on the sign so I went through the following logic passes. Taqueria = Delicious This place is a Taqueria This place is a Taqueria - I have to go inside So i go in, place isnt too shabby, gives off a great hole in the wall vibe, huge collection of liquor, and all the mexican sodas you can dream of. There's a short line that formed inside, surrounding the area around the cash register. Seeing who the other customers were gave me a good confirmation that this place was legitimate. Mexican places are good in general, but the best mexican places will put anything you ask for into a quesadilla and grill that for you. Those places in general are hard to come by, but i managed to convince the staff at stadium liquor to stuff my quesadilla with chile colorado, rice, beans, pico de gallo, salsa verde, a touch of guac and sourcream, and a massive handfull of cheese. I dont even need to talk about how great that quesadilla was, you can tell by the description I gave you. Anyways, this place is amazing, check it out.

I dropped in since I was around the area and figured I'd drop in for a quick lunch and my cousin / friend said this place had pretty good Mexican Food. I wasn't impressed at all with the dryness of the tortilla and torta. Flavor was a little lacking, but not completely bland. It would have tasted okay had the torta included some mayo and the tortillas for the tacos been fried with some butter or grease, the way authentic street tacos are made. I could say I would give them another chance but I highly doubt it =/

I ordered from the truck, then went into the store to collect my drink, and then came back out to sit in the dining area, where I also collected any sauces I wanted. Definitely need to work for your meal and get your steps in. The condiments and sauces are in a cart with plastic cups with lids provided. There weren't that many options of sauces when I ate here but it was fine. The birrias and lengua tacos were so good. All the tacos came with two small tortillas to hold in the heaping amount of meat. The horchata here is had more cream than I'm used to. Like more milk was added or something, not enough spices or flavors added in IMO. Ordering was easy, I felt rushed, but it was the waiting to hear my number that was difficult. Listening for the number in the dining area while the music was blasting was difficult, so it's better to wait by the truck. However wifey got really sick. It's Mother's Day today and she's stuck in bed. I ate 1/4 of her burrito but I'm fine. So not sure how to rate this. Taste is pretty good. We asked for no beans so it's a bit plain but I still enjoyed it. - Gringas is like a quesadilla with pastor. It's alright but not worth $10+. I'd rather get 3 tacos! - Carne asada meat has a nice Smokey flavor. However it's jerky like toughness and a bit dry. - Someone in another review was raving about this place having the best Al pastor. So all of that hype made it a bit of a downer since I find it mid. Service (3 stars) + Typical food truck style ordering but it's more of a trailer. They have a little salsa bar with about 4-5 sauce options. Ambiance (2 stars) - Too many loud cars passing while we're eating. I can barely have a conversation with the wifey not that we have a ton to talk about lol. - No restrooms nearby. Daughter had to use an emergency toilet that we bring. - Terrible parking where people park behind you and you can't get out quickly. Yes, it takes them awhile to realize they're in your way.

Their Horchata and Agua Fresca are genuinely among the best I've had anywhere in the Bay Area and that's a real statement in a region with no shortage of excellent options.
