The workouts are challenging and thoughtfully planned with a lot of attention and modifications/adjustments to help make the most of each move like a small group session (vs. what you might get in a group fitness class elsewhere). Highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for functional training that's controlled but kicks your ass. I'll be back whenever I'm in the area.

Came for one workout early Saturday morning through ClassPass!…read more The layout: there are no separate rooms built into this fitness studio. It's just one big open room with equipment laid out. There's a few chairs around the room and Sam (the head trainer and owner) has a podium at the front to do any admin things like paperwork. The workout: There were about 5 other women there for the session that day and we started just a couple minutes after 9 am with a core warmup. this session was called "open gym" so the two trainers created different stations throughout the room including weighted squats, a bench press, ropes, etc. Kinda like boot camp drills. There were about 10 different total small workouts and every attendee was supposed to complete 15 reps of each activity 3 times. It. Was. A. Workout. Trainers/environment: super fun environment. Music is loud and hype which makes these kinds of workouts more fun! Trainer Sam and her other trainer seemed to know everyone super personally which is awesome. They walked around and continued to fix your form and push a workout until you hit your best. The other ladies were also super friendly. By the end, I was a sweaty mess but felt good. The morning after is here, and it feels like someone's put a ton of bricks on parts of my body but rest assured, the soreness means it worked! $$: I came to this through classpass so I thought it was worth it but not sure if I'd pay full price for a subscription! Day 1 - I faced no concerns and they also confirmed that I have another free pass that I can use. When I come the next day, they refuse to honor the second day free pass. They did not even bother to see my free pass email that was unused. They showed no commitment about the confirmation their own staff gave me that I have another free pass. The manager was not present and did not pick up the call. They are just making fool of people with false information. Waste of time. Beware of joining them. The only reason I was planning to join this gym was because of proximity to my home. I would rather go to other gyms who are much more friendly.

During that time, I spent an average of 1-2 hours per visit and did my best to be a respectful member--reracking weights, wiping down equipment, and being considerate of other people in the gym. The reason I canceled wasn't the equipment or the facility. It was the customer service. The towel situation became a constant source of frustration. Instead of greeting members or acknowledging them when they scan in, the front desk staff often appear more interested in avoiding eye contact than providing service. If you want a towel, don't expect anyone to offer one--you have to proactively ask for it almost every time. What made the experience even worse was being repeatedly questioned about whether I was a Premier member after requesting a towel. After coming to the gym nearly every day for half a year, being treated like I was trying to get away with something became exhausting. There is a respectful way to verify membership benefits, and then there is making paying customers feel like they're being challenged or scrutinized. What bothered me most was the lack of basic courtesy. A simple "hello," eye contact, or acknowledgment when members walk in shouldn't be difficult. Instead, I often felt like I was inconveniencing the staff by asking for a service included with the membership I was paying for. Over time, I couldn't help but wonder whether my appearance played a role in how I was being treated. As a minority with visible tattoos, I often felt singled out and scrutinized in ways that other members did not appear to be. While I can't say for certain what motivated the behavior, the repeated questioning and lack of basic courtesy left me feeling that my race and tattoos may have influenced the assumptions being made about me. I'm a combat-disabled veteran. The staff was unaware of my veteran status until I raised my concerns about how I was being treated. Once I mentioned it, their attitude noticeably changed. I was suddenly informed that they offered a VA discount, and the interactions became much friendlier. While I appreciate businesses that support veterans, it was disappointing to see a difference in how I was treated only after revealing my background. Respect and professionalism should be extended to every member from the start, not based on whether someone qualifies for a discount or has a particular status. I chose not to accept the discount and proceeded with canceling my membership. Ultimately, I realized there are too many gyms competing for my business to continue paying for an experience that consistently left me feeling unwelcome. That's why I canceled my membership and chose to take my business elsewhere.

I took my first class wIth Cheryl and received a warm welcome and a challenging class that continues to push me. I've actually become a regular in her class. I've also taken the Power Pilates class twice and I'm pleased to announce that though it was my first time I found it to be a great workout. I've taken the Restorative Yoga class after having a member recommend it. The instructor of that class was Kia( she also taught my second Pilates class) she welcomed me and answered my questions after the class. If you are looking for a new place for your workouts I would definitely recommend visiting. Stephanie, the manager, is wonderful and kind and will help in any way she can. Also the ladies that workout here are extremely nice and helpful. Many times someone will bring a mat or piece of equipment to me, just being nice.

The location can be a bit confusing to find if you are unfamiliar with the area, as its located in the back of the Tannery Row building (but the GPS brings you to the front). Thankfully, when texting with the studio regarding my appointment, they informed me that they are located in the back and this made things easier. I signed up for the introductory Private Pilates Package which allows me 5 Private Pilates sessions for $200. I have never taken a Pilates class in my life, so I was a bit nervous and intimidated. My instructor, Josee, was very warm, welcoming and explained everything we were doing in detail. The studio itself is really nice as well. It is spacious, open and has several different rooms for the various classes. They offer Yoga (aerial, prenatal, etc), Kettlebell, Pilates and more. I love the ease of being able to book classes online or through the app. I'm excited for my next class!
