l've been here a few times and each visit everyone is always very accommodating and friendly. Each employee is always on top of their game, especially Lauren who seems to be everywhere at once. They are always aware when either water is getting low or you're missing a fork you didn't even realize was gone. The food is delicious and cooked to perfection and the nice dim lighting makes the restaurant so much more enjoyable. Overall 10/10 place that I highly recommend for any occasion!

    Flat iron steak

We came here to celebrate a birthday and it didn't disappoint. I chose a rare flat iron steak. It was juicy and tender and delicious. The fried calamari appetizer was crispy and tender and the sauce was delicious. Nice touch was they gave us a bit of hot and bit of sweet. The chocolate hazelnut bread pudding was delicious. It wasn't overly sweet but was custardy had a nice toasted edge. The cream on the bottom with berries was a nice addition. The crème brûlée was also delicious. It was a nice touch that they added happy birthday to the plate because we were celebrating. Nice place for a special dinner.

Boy, this place was tough to find! It took me three tries before I found the correct place - our menus still said Catherine Lombardi at the top which is their sister restaurant so perhaps there is some crossover in terms of the menu? The food was decent. I liked the flavor of the orecchiette though it could have been a bit more chewy instead of hard. The chocolate cake with ice cream was delicious though! We had a big group and reserved a private room to dine in.

I went here for a friend's birthday and they were super accommodating. I ordered their wagyu ribeye and that was served on a salt block. Let me just say this ribeye was SO good, I really wish they gave more than 7oz for the $80 price tag. I also got the eggplant parm and it was good. For dessert, my friend brought an ice cream cake and they were awesome to cut it and serve it for us. Also, they share the space with their sister restaurant, Catherine Lombardi (Italian restaurant) so even if you are vegetarian or not feeling steak, there's other options for you!

The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I honestly do feel it is way too expensive for what you receive. The food is good, but I've had better in much more affordable venues. With that being said. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at SLS. We recently went to celebrate my father's birthday and we were beyond the last ones there. I cannot begin to say how accommodating the staff was in every way. We are a finicky bunch (well my family is) and they were great with some of our party being late, moving our reservation from inside to outside, turning the heat lamps up and down lol... Service was always attentive. Upon entrance into the venue, you just feel warm and cozy with the dim lighting.. old school bar.. this time of year, you get to try their seasonal cocktails. Autumn Leaves was perfect! The bartender was super friendly... sorry his name slips my mind. We ordered a sweet and spicy calamari which was tasty enough... my truffle pasta with proscuitto and asparagus was a bit too salty, but still good. I think everyone else enjoyed their meals, but we were just a bit underwhelmed. Christian was hilarious... I guess he does a bit of everything there. Very gracious part of the team. A class act spot that deserves to be checked out.

This is a wonderful steakhouse. The atmosphere is great. Very pretty and intimate. Service was first class. The tastiest cuts at a steak house are the butcher's cuts and the flat iron here was no exception. It was cooked perfectly rare was tender and tasted like butter. And if you're a burger fan like I am, best thing to get at a steakhouse is a burger. A steakhouse knows how to make an awesome burger. The burger here was amazing. It was a delicious blend and it was cooked perfectly rare. The Amish bacon was thick cut and cooked perfectly. The cheddar was sharp and generous. Dessert too was a delight. The chocolate hazelnut bread pudding had a delicious but not overpowering blend of flavor. It was served with a zabaglione on the bottom that was so eggy and delicious and fresh berries. The crème brûlée was perfect. I am a huge fan of crème brûlée and this one was a winner. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Went for Valentines day dinner late last night. It was our first night out alone in a year. We ordered a bottle of Malbec, waygu steak with salt brick, lamb chops and truffle fries. There menu is limited since the last time I went a few years ago, most likely due to COVID. The waygu steak was delicious. It arrived on a hot Himalayan salt brick where you cook it to your desire. Truffle fries were delectable and came with a yummy mayo flavor sauce.

We had a wonderful business dinner at Stage Left last night. Everything from the appetizers to desserts were so beautifully and deliciously arranged. The staff was so attentive and the owner even came and spent a few minutes with us making sure we had a pleasant experience. The lamb osso bucco was probably the best lamb dish I have ever had. The meat fell right off the bone. Would highly recommend.

    Amazing truffle pasta!!!

Great food, drinks and service! The steaks were amazing, but so were the appetizers and sides. More creative than your typical steakhouse. The desserts were amazing. We can't wait to come back.

As I've gotten older, I've become a notoriously nitpicky about little things at restaurants so I don't say this often: My dinner at Stage Left Steak was one of the BEST restaurant experiences I have had to date. Let's start off with the food, it's excellent, well done, and you can really sense that there is a sense of respect for the ingredients. The menu is seasonal and there is a lot of care into all the menu items. We tried the tuna tare tare, to start off which is wonderful. For our main meal, I opted for the the burger while my husband opted for the flat iron salt block. If you haven't experienced the salt block, you should give it a try at least once in your life. The meat is beautifully cooked and you have total control over how you want it. My burger was really good and the fries that came with it were massive and beautifully crispy. The sides at Stage Left are nothing to balk at. The asparagus was beautifully roasted and I will now be spending the year trying to recreate their cauliflower creamed spinach at home. For dessert, we opted for the creme brulee and it was wonderful (we were informed they use actual vanilla bean). What really set Stage Left Steak apart from most restaurants I've been to is how well it's run. I've actually never seen a restaurant be so organized, so on time, so attentive to service. The owners, Frances and Mark, were both on the floor. They were making sure the guests were paid attention to and well taken care of. They were directing the staff, they were serving guests, and it was actually really wonderful to see people put so much care into their business. It's not something you see often. I will be returning whenever I have a very special occasion, as it is a more high end restaurant. But it's a place worth splurging for!

I visited Steakhouse 85 for the first time on Thursday, March 19th. We all know the food is fantastic, but what impressed me even more was the employees. When I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess, who had a big smile and bright eyes. She showed us to our table swiftly, and during our time there, her smile and warm welcome continued as she greeted other incoming diners. Our waiter appeared quickly with the first question would you like something to drink, water, etc. After the initial greeting, and now ready to take our order, he excitedly told us he had the pleasure of tasting most of the items he suggested. His excitement about the food he had the "pleasure of tasting" (his words) was apparent. Also, I had the pleasure of speaking to Monica, a manager at Steakhouse 85. She was kind, thoughtful, insightful, and well spoken. I could easily see why she holds that position and could have talked to her as I would a good friend. How a great manager like Monica gets those around them to react positively is by example; in other words, it's the ripple effect. It is easy to see that she is the type of person who, no matter what she does or where she goes in life, success will follow. Also, I want to say thank you to the owner and all the managers because hiring the right employees, from the cooks, busboys, and servers, is not an easy job in itself. The key to success is not just about the food; it's also the employees who add to the establishment's success! Great Job To All Of You! Kindness should never be taken for granted these days! Frances

Dinner was also very good. Just about everyone ordered something different, and we left pretty happy. The only issue was the music. I don't know if this is the case for the entire restaurant, but the downstairs had bouncy ukulele covers for the entirety of our time there. It was also a bit too loud. I felt like I had to get up to hear someone sitting a few people away from me, or speak too loud to for shared space because there's a bouncy ukulele covers of Without You by The Kid LAROI. They were running late since the whole front was full of people not seated. We ordered within 10-15 mins, however were told that they were out of a Mother's Day special and bread. BREAD! The excuse from a manager was that they ordered fresh bread from a vendor. What I gathered is that they did not take a look at their reservations, and decided not to order more to accommodate everyone. Mind you, it was only 7pm. The people behind us had been complaining of not getting their food, which should've been a signal. All around us, no one was getting their food, and the food coming out of the kitchen was sparse. Pretty sure they overloaded the kitchen staff, and the waiters took the heat because all I heard/saw was them apologizing for the long wait. If you ordered drinks or raw seafood, you got that ok. Otherwise, you would be SOL. We did not get any food until 8:20!!! And that includes our appetizers. Our entrees came out about 10-15 mins later because our waiter put in everything so there was no downtime. This included hungry children, which was just basically Mac and cheese, which we needed to be reheated cause it was so watery. All we got from the manager was a sorry. Even after we told them that this was bad managing of food service, number of reservations, etc. They did not offer any discount for the wait of our reservation or food. No 'hey', here's a complimentary dessert. Nothing but "sorry". Seems like a money grab that night. After spending $500-$600 on a very lackluster meal, which I feel many patrons that night felt, I would highly suggest spending your money elsewhere.

I was especially looking forward to ordering the ribeye and lit up instantly when the server listed it as one of the specials. The server shared that he would need to collect the orders for all of our courses at the same time which was fine with me. I actually had more confidence in the timing of everything for that reason. Our server had a delightful energy particularly at the beginning of our visit. After we placed our orders, everything began to fall apart. It did get noticeably busy since we first arrived, but we ultimately waited for our main entrees for over 3 hours. 3 hours. The table ordered the charred octopus and the oysters to start. The oysters hit the table fairly quickly, but then we began to gradually notice how long it was taking for the octopus to come. I had only a slither of the octopus so that I could say I tried it. Everyone at the table raved about the taste. I did, however, agree that their oysters were delicious especially when dressed with a little bit of mignonette, lemon, horseradish and a touch of Tabasco sauce. I'm excited to now report that I am a fan of fresh oysters from the east coast, because apparently the coast matters. The table also ordered the canaletto stuffed with mascarpone, parmesan and another cheese, langostines and lobster with morel mushroom cream sauce, garnished with truffles. I passed on this one also as it was too adventurous for my taste buds; although, their delicious bread and our drinks did distract me for a little while. The restaurant is BYOB, so we had our wine to keep us company while we observed other tables come and go. We eventually asked to see the manager and was told there wasn't a manager on duty which was either untrue or a very poor decision on the part of the owners considering it was a Friday evening. Having someone occasionally check in with our table may have also helped to take the pressure off of the server who may have gotten overwhelmed or decided to prioritize other tables. Having a manager offer a personal apology may have helped us feel less forgotten about. After the three hour mark, we decided this was enough. I didn't have much to eat at this point, but I wasn't at all worried initially since I was there for the main event, the ribeye. I stopped a hostess who was walking past our table and asked for the manager. We were again told the manager is not here but can be called, if needed. I simply replied, "Please do". Shortly afterwards, I noticed our server who at this time was standing by the host stand briskly walk into the kitchen and then return to our table with our plates. I sent the food back which was a decision that was supported by everyone at the table. Let me tell you, that was a difficult decision to make, but I also was ready to call it a night. Our mood had changed, and I truly felt like we were derservant of having the same experience as everyone else that night. Our server apologized for his part to play in the ordeal which I appreciated since I know his intention was never malicious, but unfortunately we had to call this night a bust. He offered us dessert on the house, and our entire meal was comped which we felt was an appropriate resolution. I ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch bread pudding which was a favorite. Very good. Jasper Stone is a beautiful establishment with decorative yellow and white floral arrangements throughout the dining area. It is clearly a popular restaurant and has many positive reviews. I regret that I could not have a comparable experience.

The strip mall itself isn't anything special, but the surrounding area is beautiful , and once you're inside, the restaurant feels warm and inviting. The food is fantastic, and the variety on the menu is impressive. The chef clearly knows what they're doing because every single dish we tried was genuinely delicious. It's the kind of spot where you can't go wrong: date night, dinner with friends, or anything in between. We brought our own bottle and had a great time. Our waiter was super knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. The staff even joked around with me when I forgot my to‑go bag, and yes, I absolutely took it home because the food is that good. I also appreciate that they don't act like offering takeout is beneath them; even the takeout bag was nice. I honestly wish my meals were this good every night. I hope everyone who works here is paid well and enjoys what they do, because they're running the place exactly how a restaurant should be run. It feels like a true community staple somewhere that transports you a bit and makes the whole experience feel special. Lovely all around.

Since my last review, we have returned several times for lunches and dinners. The food, ambiance…read moreand service has always been outstanding, so it was very disappointing that last night missed the mark, significantly. Upon arrival at 6:30, Matt was seating a party outside and he told us to go inside. He followed us in. But instead of taking us to our table as he usually does, he told us we had the five top in the room on the right which he pointed to as he walked into the kitchen. OK, so maybe he was busy. No big deal. Place was about half full when we arrived. Almost immediately after we sat down, a waitress (new to us) arrived and handed us menus as she very quickly read the menu additions to us. I told her we were in no rush and I asked her to open some bottles we had brought. I also asked for an ice bucket. She noticed the bubbles and inquired if it was a special occasion. We told her it was my daughter's birthday. She came back just a few minutes later with water and she asked if we were ready to order. I told her we needed more time and that we were in no hurry. I asked her to slowly reread the menu additions. As we were perusing the menu, engaged in lively banter and enjoying the bubbles, I realized she did not bring the ice bucket. I looked around for her for a few minutes, then, when I could not locate her, I caught a different waitress's (new to us too) eye and she promptly came over and brought an ice bucket. A few minutes later, a staffer brought a bread basket. Usually there is a diverse selection of various very tasty breads. Today it was mostly plain old "Italian bread". Like the kind you might get when you order a dinner at a pizzeria. Nothing close to the quality and flavors we have consistently had in the past. For appetizers, we decided on the burrata, the octopus and the crocchette. We ordered all larger portions which we planned to share. As we have dined here on several occasions in the past, it was disappointing to see small portions, especially the burrata and crocchette. While tasty, the portions didnt seem to be any larger than the small size my wife and I usually get. Additionally, in the past, the octopus salad had plenty of tentacles, which our serving did not. It was rather bland as well. Since taking our order, we had not seen the waitress. Apps were brought out by Luca and other kitchen help. At this point, empty bread basket, empty champagne bottles and some empty water glasses had been on the table for quite some time, but the waitress failed to remove any of it. I asked for more water which she brought but again failed to clear the table. By this time, we were done with the appetizers, but instead of clearing, she brought one of the entrees. The eggplant. A short time later, another server came and cleared the table while we waited for the remaining entrees. 12 minutes later, the rest of the entrees arrived. While I suggested to my guest that he start without us, he refused figuring it would not be long before the remaining entrees arrived. When they finally did, his was cold. Other than the cold eggplant, the other entrees were tasty. Given the poor service, we decided to go home for dessert. Insult to injury... when I got the bill, I noticed they had added a 20% gratuity (not to mentioned the $12 "Service Fee" for using a credit card. A discussion for another time). I firmly believe that gratuities are totally up to the customer. I tip well in excess of 20% when service is good. Last night's service was horrible. "Taking" my money was not right. It's not even the money, per se. It's the fact that a restaurant would make MY gratuity decision for me. Not cool. Perhaps just as important, it also influences the servers. If they know they are getting 20% from my table regardless of their level of service, they might give more attention to other tables where the gratuity IS under the control of the customer. I cant say that is what happened, but it is plausible. We hardly saw our server which is a very different experience than we normally have become accustom to. On the way out, I spoke with Matt and Luca to let them know of my disappointment. Lots of apologies. Then Matt told me, "It (the tip) is automatic". A customer was getting ill, so Matt left the conversation to assist to the customer. I left feeling like they didnt care. My wife said, "Maybe we have to rethink that place". Indeed, but perhaps Matt and Luca need to rethink some things.
