I am very disappointed! The stains in our carpets were not too bad, but there were an abundance of them. We have three kids and one on the way, so I compromised with my husband to have our carpets cleaned before the baby arrived instead of re-carpeting. I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews, so I was expecting the work to be much better based on that information and the photos I saw, but the amount of stains left behind and the overall remaining dinginess makes me regret not going back to Stanley Steamer, who did a much better job six months ago. Granted, the guy, I can't remember his name, who came out was punctual and friendly, but the work was well below what it should have been. Before he left, he sprayed peroxide in the "stubborn" areas, but that treatment will not reveal its efficacy for hours, so I may need to amend part of this review. Nevertheless, the picture of the stairs demonstrate that simple dinginess from normal wear did not even come clean. It's almost like there is no cleaning solution used at all, just hot water. I'm pretty sure my husband could have done a better job with a machine rented from the grocery store. I will definitely have to pay someone else to come and re-do the job or go ahead and replace the carpets. Update: We were contacted by the owner 24 hours after leaving this review with a sincere and concerted effort to make up for the mistakes made. We were thoroughly impressed by his willingness to rectify the problem. In the end, we were satisfied with how everything was handled and would consider giving the company another shot in the future just on the merit of their business practices. Fast forward to the night before where I received a text confirming the window of time they would be over. I pulled up from a gym class just as the van was driving up right on the dot at 11!! Matt- (it's a two man company which is nice!!) introduced himself and we did a walk through and he informed me as well as Andrew had when we spoke on the phone that they will be putting stain removal stuff down for cat pee if they smelled any in areas they were working on and to keep cats off since it might turn their paws pinkish- (my boy cat would be pissed with pink paws) lol but **wouldn't be lethal to their inner system.- *Now would a big corporate company forewarn the customer!! Matt quoted us a price and asked if we wanted the $25 extra for the urine removal work and we agreed.... Matt worked diligently, was super quite, he complemented us a few times on our job of carpet upkeep work over the years and when he was finished less than two hours later he reviewed feedback with us, gave us a bottle of touch up for stains and it was the price he initially quoted us at $205 which was for three large rooms, and a grand staircase. We happily tipped him as well which was optional of course and he asked if we were sure- which I found extremely polite and he didn't assume!! I'm sure the BIG scary giant carpet cleaning companies would not be as thorough with checking in, amazing job, attention to detail, quickness, promptness and politeness!! Two weeks ago I paid StainBusters 210$, somehow saving me 1500$. They did such an amazing job on my living room carpet, we've decided we don't need to replace it quite as urgently as we had thought. Seriously. That's how good these guys are. They got the stuff that 'Stanley' didn't even want to try. StainBuster's customer service is fantastic. It's a small, two-guy operation and the person answering the phone, owns the truck. We were able to get on the schedule very quickly and he called the night beforehand to confirm. He texted me when he got to the house early (early?! who does that?!) the day-off and asked if we were ready to go. Heck yes, we were! 90mn later, my house looked like Lainey Boggs after her makeover montage. There was no nickel and diming. There were smiles and lots of helpful hints. There were no complaints or attitude problems. There was honestly about the condition of a rug and what their truck would be able to do for it. Unsatisfied with their ability to get our rug clean (darn doxies!), they refused to charge us for the attempt. Andrew got pretty passionate about carpet and carpet cleaning at one point and apologized for it. Whatever. This is a guy who owns his own business, is passionate about what he does, and is realizing some (well deserved) success. Do you know how rare that is? I bet there are 5k guys in suits working for the Man in Loudoun alone who are jealous of Andrew's enthusiasm for his job. The job cost me - literally - less than 25% of what 'Stanley' had charged us 9mo prior. We look forward to getting on StainBuster's regular rotation a couple times of year. I am 110% impressed. I was looking for someone to clean our sectional sofa, ottoman, and dining room chairs. I don't have pets or children, so they weren't in bad shape - they just needed to be freshened up a bit. Thus, I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. I shopped around a bit. I found a very wide range of prices from various places, which surprised me. One place wanted $27 per linear foot of the couch, equaling nearly $400!!! OUCH! Being a small-business owner myself, I value the small-business, personal feel. While they were here, they were very informative, kind, and I love that Andrew is an admitted "perfectionist"! It means he took great care in doing a great job. He even revisited a water stain on one of the chairs after he'd cleaned everything else to give it one last try. These guys are the real deal - high quality work for a reasonable price. We moved out of a 4 level townhome, with pets, and the carpet had stains on it from the previous tenants. First, let me say that Stainbusters arrived on time. Infact, 15 minutes early. They brought in 2 people, the owner and a worker. Both were extremely professional and courteous. They explained their process, timing, and cost before even beginning. This is another huge plus for me. Scheduling was easy and I scheduled via their website. The site is a bit dated, but got the job done. Andrew contacted me directly by email and I had an appointment 5 days after booking, on my desired date. The service was quick and excellent. They asked me to look at the before and after to confirm and it was amazing how clean the carpets were (my carpets are pure white). Not sure how many people work with him, but the two times we used his service, it's been Andrew and one other guy. They are polite and take care to make sure they protect your property and clean up after they are done with the job. We recently moved and had boxes all over the place and he moved furniture and boxes so that he could clean the carpet. He charges a flat rate and it's very affordable. I imagine you could probably find cheaper with groupons and such, but I think his pricing is great for the level of service.
