He did a great job and the price was good. He even let me know that one pair was not worth fixing.

Quality shoe care and repair can be found at Dr. Shoe in Worthington. Just a few miles north of…read moreInterstate 270, this is the place to bring finer Mens and ladies shoes for the attention needed to keep them in good shape for years to come. As evidenced in my photos, they do provide reselling services and corking services for Birkenstocks. This is a service that sometimes can be difficult to find, but they do a great job, and I was pleased with the work completed. I've had my Birkenstock sandals for years and, thanks to Dr. Shoe. they are a comfortable lifetime investment.

You walk in and the place is full of stuff; People's boots, purses, luggage, leather briefcases, leather jackets, and much much more. I had a simple problem. I needed a pair of boots stretched. I have large feet. Sasquatch like. I brought in my Ariats that have been sitting in my closet for 3 years now. The owner is behind a counter piled up with jobs he is working on and equipment he uses to do his craft. He is brusque. "$45. 2 weeks" I think at first "That's a lot to stretch some boots" I go back. He says, brusquely "If they are still tight tell me where, toes, ankles, shaft/calves? I will stretch again" I tell him that I am leaving for work and that I am a flight attendant and I won't be back in town for a month, can I try them when I get back and let him know? He looks at me and nods. I finally get home and try the boots they fit great. So in this crazy economy is $45 a lot of money? To me it is, but to pay a craftsman for a craft that will soon be hard to find, it is well worth it. Bottom Line: my expensive boots have finally made it out of the closet thanks to Dr. Shoe! Extra points for honesty - I went in the other day with a large cheap piece of luggage that had the zipper broken on an outer pocket. He said it will cost you double the cost of a new suitcase to repair that because it would have to be done all by hand and I would have to charge for my time. Thank you!

Pretty much what I expected of a shoe repair shop in downtown Westerville. Small but neat shop,…read morelots of shoe accessories available. Friendly, expert owner. Reasonable prices, and helpful explanations of what repairs could be made. My mom brought her sandals for repair, replacing them would be expensive, but the repairs are reasonable. It'll take a few weeks, but it's an old-school shop with no extra staff. Oh, one surprise: when I walked in I saw they sold hot sauce and a few other things, diversifying income. No biggie. But I saw cat towers and toys and beds all over, thought maybe he sold them too. Nope, just there for the playful shop kitten. Super cute, skittish but friendly. Shop dogs and cats are a plus in my book.

I paid $110 per pair to have two pairs of Red Wing boots repaired, and this place still managed to…read morescrew up the basics. I was told my boots would be ready. They weren't. That wasted my time and forced me to make another trip. When I finally picked them up, I still had to put in new laces, clean the boots, and condition the leather myself. That's basic craftsmanship. If I'm paying premium prices, I shouldn't have to finish the job at home. That's like paying for a steak and having to cook it yourself. The shop was a mess, and the workmanship matched it--sloppy. No attention to detail, no pride in the work, just "good enough." This was my first and last time here. I'll take my boots straight to Red Wing from now on. If you're charging top dollar, start delivering top-dollar work.
