By the time they wanted to wrap up the job, there were so many unfinished tasks - they rushed and left us with cleaning up after them. 6 weeks after they finished the job (and were paid) we've just spent the 5th weekend in a row clearing mulch, removing yards of weeds and had to have a professional plumber come in to finish the irrigation installation. Jim spent time with us, showing us the product they use and beautiful catalogs on both the paver choices and the sitting wall styles. He listened to my idea of how I wanted the project to look and gave me the perfect courtyard plan that he knew would make me happy. I had already purchased a big arbor I wanted integrated into my courtyard's opening, and he assured me it would be accommodated. Well, I paid him the $1000 (cashed on Nov 29th). Checked with Placer County Property Records and there has been no request submitted to lift the lien. So he lied to me and he lied to CSLB. Talk about digging yourself a hole. Will be fun to present this to a judge. I will of course have to subpoena the CSLB agent and put together a presentation on why everything he said and did regarding the outdoor kitchen area was wrong. Nothing new, done it before. I'll post again after trial but I won't settle for the normal small claims judge so it will take several months to get a date.
