I went here in June 2015 for my CNA certification. It was Monday through Thursday and it was just 4…read moreweeks. Not too bad. The first week was all theory. I didn't find this the least bit useful. It was just us students taking turns to read from a book. This I thought we could do ourselves. I would prefer we got a chapter to read and discuss it the next day or get tested on it. Other than that, I have no complaints. Andrea is courteous and likable and so is Ms. Julie. The good thing about becoming a CNA was that it would come in handy for nursing school. I'm in my 4th (4/5) semester at an RN program. Being a CNA gave my application a little boost since my program uses the point system. Don't waste your time taking a CNA course at a community college. You're wasting four months of your life on something you can do in 4 weeks. Sure you'll be saving a penny here and there by taking it at a community college but think of this: You have 3 extra months to make money as opposed to using them up training at a community college. Do yourself a favor. It's quick and easy and my experience as a CNA helps me work better with patients during my clinical rotations.

I took the CNA course at PTC in December and successfully passed my test last month. The days are…read morereally long but they were very flexible with my schedule and the quick 16 day course was what had me sold!! Andrea is amazing! She takes care of everything you can think of. She was very helpful and informative since day 1. The Directors of the school are very nice and even made us a home cooked lunch during one of our theory days. Our instructors were Danielle and Victor. They were a great team. Thanks to them our entire class passed the CNA test.

Dr. Candelario is truly one of my best professors I have ever had. Anatomy and Physiology is tough…read moresubject for me, but his dedication, patience, and compassion make difficult concepts easy to understand. He takes the time to help every single student improve and succeed. He offer zoom and 1:1 help if needed... amazing! No matter where he goes, his commitment to teaching never changes. As a nursing student, I am so grateful for his guidance- He inspires us to be the best we can be and to dedicate our lives to caring for others. Thank you, Dr. C, and bless your heart for everything you do! Catherine Cobble ADN- Cohort 6

I truly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Candelario . Anatomy can be one of the most…read moreintimidating subjects for nursing students, but he has an incredible ability to break down complex material in a way that makes it understandable, engaging, and even exciting to learn. His passion for teaching is obvious in every lecture, and he genuinely wants every student to succeed. More than just a great professor, Dr. Candelario is an inspiring role model for anyone pursuing nursing. He constantly reminds his students why they chose this path and makes you feel like anything is possible if you are willing to work for it. He creates an environment where you feel supported, motivated, and confident in your ability to grow. If you ever need extra help, he never hesitates to take the time to guide you and make sure you truly understand the material. The school itself is also very invested in student success. As long as you are willing to put in the work, the program truly sets you up to succeed. I feel incredibly grateful to be learning in a program with professors like Dr. Candelario who care not only about your grades, but about the kind of nurse and person you will become.

This is a warning for any future students considering enrollment. I am enrolled in their DMS…read moreprogram and am having the worst experience. They are extremely unprofessional and unorganized. My cohort was not informed about the new semester start date, the class days, or whether classes would be online, hybrid, or in person. Nothing. We are a few days into the 3rd semester, received the schedule the day of. If I had not woken up early on Monday to log in to Moodle, I would have missed the first day of class, since they did not inform us of anything. I sent emails to Heather Benevento (Director of Admissions) and Tammy Latu (Executive Director) with no reply. It took me sending a follow-up email for Heather to reply and say that I would hear back by the end of the day from either of them. Of course, to no surprise, I did not receive an email. Whenever I call the campus, my calls go unanswered. I leave messages, and they are not returned. They use the excuse that it's a new campus and ask us to give them some grace, but if you are late on a tuition payment, late to class, or miss a day, they will make sure you face the consequences ASAP. Turns out the schedule we were given for the semester is not even accurate. Our professor had to inform us today that our lab day is canceled because the school doesn't have the supplies (shocker!). And now we will have lab on a day we were told there was no class. What about those of us who have jobs? Doctor's appointments? Job interviews? This school expects you to form your life around them and only cares about getting their money and nothing else.
