Loud, music-focused bar that happens to serve food too. Their brunch includes delicious Mimosas and a Bloody Mary buffet, so you have some stand-out options in a sea of Columbus brunches. Definitely note that Standard Hall loves its loud, bass-pushing music at all hours - even in the morning for brunch. PROS: -Seat yourself! Choose where you want to sit and have at it! They have a lot of high top seating and bar top seating, and they have a few booths. -Bathrooms are clean. Sometimes you don't know in bars, but the bathrooms here were clean. They've moved to air-only hand drying (no paper towels to be had) which is slightly annoying, but the bathrooms themselves are good. -Really good brunch options! The Cinnamon Roll French Toast was AMAZING and sugary, and the Pretzel and "house wiz" cheese was delicious too. We were into the Mozerella Bites too. -Sorta-separate area from Standard Hall functions as a second bar (two bars in here!) and a separate "event space" for events. We've been here for multiple events throughout the years now, and it works great for allowing Standard Hall to stay open to general patrons while the event space still serves cocktails and a private event. CONS: -This place can be loud. The music alone is loud, but when you start getting crowds, it gets really loud really quickly. It may be hard to hear your tablemates. -Short North parking can be a bit of a pain. That being said, Standard Hall is a bit north-er than the busiest parts of the Short North, so it's easier and cheaper to find a place to park. There was a $3-an-hour lot within a half a block of Standard Hall.

Food: Brian's food? See photo for the "burger" -- or lack there of. Asked for double, it came as a single cut into two. Thanks. My food? I had to cover it in ketchup bc of the lack of taste. Drinks: If you like seeing freshmen college kids acting like they 28 y.o. This is your place. Bloody Mary bar on Sunday? FYR Service: Catch them on a Friday/Saturday and you'll see why only college kids come here. Catch them on a Sunday brunch? They are so nice Evan is so nice too !!!

We stopped in on New Years Day, early afternoon, the place was not very busy. Cool looking industrial look and feel. Nice bar area, several tables. Cool booths that are cozy and private. We ordered bottle service mimosas and chose two types of juice; our waitress refilled the juice several times as I tend to mix mine a but weak. We were greeted and waters were provided immediately. We had dinner plans later, so we stuck with an appetizer of the loaded waffle fries. They arrived crispy and loaded with toppings. This was a great choice as it was large enough to split, and it tasted amazing. Really cool spot downtown!

Stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't crowded. Service was food. We started with a mimosa. We did orange juice with strawberry puree and also pineapple juice. Mimosas were delicious! We just got an appetizer. The waffle fries were delicious! The fries were nice and crispy loaded with warm cheese sauce and ranch drizzle. It was also topped with bacon and chives!

Standard Hall has that chill inducing, public building-type polished concrete flooring with the late 1800s Victorian London-type of wooden walls and doorways, all painted black. Add in lots of windows with plenty of natural light and you have a really nice place to spend your time. The service was very good too, as my waitress was nice and relaxed. You could tell there was no tension in her body when she talked to me, which was refreshing. As for the food, I thought the signature fried chicken sandwich was fine, but I think their bun situation needs a second look - it fell apart on me making for a messy experience. Unfortunately I didn't see the paper sleeves holding the silverware in the beer bucket at the head of the table until it was too late. I really enjoyed the loaded waffle fries though. The sandwich and the half price Happy Hour waffle fries, water to drink, came to $25 total after tax and 21% tip. I was disappointed, however, to learn I was billed for a side of waffle fries served with the sandwich. As I also ordered the loaded fries, I told the waitress to hold the side and she did. So not sure why I was billed for them. By the way, parking is difficult. You might have to park on a side street and hike the distance.

Started our bar crawl at Standard Hall and the place was very nice! It had a big bar, an indoor area, outdoor patio, and even another section for live music. We sat at the bar and ordered beers and food there. I got the Nashville chicken sandwich and it wasn't that good. It was too much fried dough and not enough chicken. The ladies working the bar were very friendly and took great care of us, Definitely a place with a great atmosphere, just a bummer the sandwich wasn't good.

During my visit to Columbus, almost everyone I talked to recommended "Standard" as the go-to place for drinks. We tried a couple bars before ending up at Standard and it was by far the coolest place we went to. If I had to sum it up in one sentence it would probably be: great vibes, great music, great space, great prices. They have two large bar areas, a big indoor patio area and an outdoor seating area. We didn't get any food, but the people next to us got macaroni and cheese and it looked delicious! Forewarning though, this place does get pretty packed on the weekends! Overall, this isn't just your 'standard' bar!

The orange juice was so yummy and good. The staff was so nice and very helpful. Would recommend.

Who doesn't love a good brunch spot? Standard Hall has some great brunch options and drinks! Also a great spot for a night out as well! I got the fish sandwich (was not overly impressed, very breaded and not much flavor) but the side of fries were great and a huge portion! My bf got the chicken sandwich with tots and enjoyed it! Not pictured was the cinnamon toast crunch sticks (was not a fan unfortunately) But still giving 4 stars because I love the service here, the vibe and I think I just need to try some other food options!

The service made this experience memorable. The gentleman working asked me if it was my first time. He made some recommendations. They were out of corned beef for the #3 The Eiffel Tower so he substituted bacon for me instead. I liked that the buns are smooshed flat, the meat and cheese heated and melted, and then the additional toppings diced up into smaller pieces. I had about a 20 minute drive that could have made the difference, but once I started eating the sandwich it was good but aa bit chewy. It might have been less chewy if I would have ate it right away. I also ordered the specialty croissant. The staff person asked me if I was okay with the price, it was $8. I appreciated he let me know the price and made sure I still wanted it as it was a bit pricey. The croissant was amazing! This was also a food that was better ate day of. I had it the next morning for breakfast and although it was delicious you could tell it was getting stale already. It was beautifully made. Frenchi's was good, just eat it right away for optimal freshness!

To start, we ordered at 6:27, our Door Dasher picked up the food at 6:36, but it wasn't delivered until 8:57... Completely unacceptable. Granted the extremely late delivery wasn't the restaurant's fault (necessarily)... However, because they use Door Dash for delivery, they're ultimately responsible by proxy. Add in that the delivery driver spoke no English, tried to kick our English Staffy who ran out whilst smiling to say "hi" (if you know anything about Staffy's, you know they love people and don't have a mean bone in their body), our food was cold because it was delivered 1.5 hours late, and I was about to lose my flipping mind. Now onto the food... These were quite honestly some of the worst subs we've ever had. Subway is miles ahead of this hot garbage, and it's not remotely close. The food was $50 for two puny half filled subs, inedible coleslaw (absolutely disgusting), a pickle, and a GF cookie (that was not delivered). Now onto the really bad part... Within 30 minutes of eating this trash, both my wife and I had to run for the toilet (I'll leave it at that). Bottom line... Screw this place. PS - If I ever run into Cosmic Dave, he's going to get a piece of my mind for charging people $ for this crap.

It was my turn, dining alone but nothing about a table for one at Scotty's is lonely. The staff are immediately welcoming and every customer is every employee's charge. Four different people helped me or just checked in. The Gina breakfast combos have lots to offer for breakfast. But I was thrilled this 9:30 am to be assured the whole menu was available. I was looking for something less common and was excited to see potato latkes with sour cream and apple sauce as an option. That would have been great but then the waitress (Salome maybe) said, "Do you like corned beef?" The Schmoozer is 3 enormous latkes with thinly shaved and lightly grilled corn beef on top with an over easy egg atop that. Also, on Saturdays, you can order a pound of chicharron for $20. A bit about costs: I think it's a bit expensive. A single empanada is $5. There are price breaks for larger quantities ordered. Italian sub and double patty burgers are each $13. The Appolonia Italian is a decent size, but the buger, even with double patty, felt small. The service is super friendly! The quality of their offerings is much higher than average. Everything tasted really good, no notes.
