Great local place with a great menu! We were seated right away, the service was friendly and fast. Looks to be an old service station made into a cute restaurant. It had a great vibe! Down stairs is a tap room. Opens 5pm. They serve brunch on Sundays until 1:30. We got the Philly with fries and the Sweet potato salad. The Philly was so good with fresh soft bread. The salad is a favorite with a great blend of flavors of sweet potato and goat cheese.

We had a wonderful time at Standard Service just before New Year's Eve. It was a quiet evening, and we sat at the bar while bartender Sarah took her time explaining the menu and helping us make good choices. We enjoyed chicken wings, deviled eggs, nachos, and my favorite, tomato soup. The drinks were cold, and the atmosphere was perfect. We also watched football on the TVs. We can't wait to go back and try the burger.

Came here for an early lunch and got seated right away. It's got a nice vibe for a casual place, but nothing that distinct. The food was good, the buffalo wrap the right level of hot, the fries crispy, burger well cooked, but nothing blew me out of the water. Service was generally good but slowed a bit as the place got busier.

They have a great outdoor area and dogs are allowed. Part is gravel with more lounge chairs and umbrellas but part is fully covered with normal tables. Note There was a special lunch menu and you can't order dinner items at lunch. I got the standard burger and it was very taste. The fries are extra crispy but also thicker. The service was good for the majority of the meal and the food came out quick. The restaurant is near downtown so only has a few parking spots out front but when you cross the street there's a whole available lot.

Ambience is beautiful, cutest little spot, feels like you're eating at an aesthetic southern beach bar on the inside! My friends and I loved this! Server was great and efficient, wasn't too crowded, and prices are good. We ordered the tomato bisque, grilled chicken caesar wrap, and the donut burger. All was delicious and well done! We had a great time, highly recommend!

It was my first visit today and the servers and hostess were so sweet! The service was quick and I loved the vibe of the place inside and out. I ordered the Spinach dip as a starter, the Teriyaki Chicken bowl (lots of flavor, soooo damn good) and a Strawberry Creme Brulee donut for dessert-- all of it amazing!! Give this place a visit :) I'll definitely be going back

Enjoyed the deviled eggs. The mahi tacos were awful! They were drenched in the most awful sauce and not worth the money at all!

Great place to grab a beer and lounge outside. Large gravel patio where the kids can spread their legs.

Pressed Cubano Dip w/fries. Sandwich was extra greasy and fries were extra dry.

This was my first visit, and it just missed the mark for me. It was a Sunday at lunch and we were sat at a table and the tables are super close together. The menu is fairly diverse, but overall sandwiches and bar-type food. I ordered the Cubano sandwich with a side of fries. The fries looked fine, but they were dried out and served at room temperature with no salt (and there is no salt on the table). Needless to say, the fries were not good. The Cuban sandwich was a bit different than most I've had before, and was very, very greasy. Just not a fan of this one. They have a taproom downstairs with a large number of beer taps, and some wine taps. I went downstairs to get a beer and there was no one around at all to serve me. And one of the beers I looked at poting was crazy priced as well at $.85 an ounce. That would make for a very expensive IPA at $13.60 a pint! The only save for this place on this visit was at the service was fairly good even though they were clearly understaffed. Parking is also tight with a small parking spot across from the restaurant, yet only a handful of parking spots at the restaurant itself. There is also some street parking in Gainesville and a few blocks from the Gainesville parking garage.

Very nice people. Great food. Had several things here and all great. Old Fashioned are really good. The atmosphere is nice. Great bar and multiple TVs. Nice place to grab some food.

I was visiting some friends in Gainesville and they suggested we try this. It was cute! I like the play in words. You can tell this used to be an old service (gas) station, and the old school, but modern yet rustic feel is inside and out. Lots of outdoor seating. We only visited the restaurant part, not the taproom. We started with drinks. I got the Down at the Sunset Grill and it was fantastic! I got the street tacos and street corn. The tacos were about 6.5/7 out of 10. They're ere lacking some flavor for me, and they were sitting in juice that made the whole corn tortilla fall apart. I wish there was more sauce. The street corn was good, but I was thinking it was going to come with two cobs since it was pretty expensive. Not worth it in my opinion. I don't have a pic of the pimento Mac n cheese, but that was by far my favorite thing I got!! So creamy and a very large portion! Two people could easily split this. Overall the vibe was cool and most of the food was pretty good.

New place in Gainesville right off Jessie Jewel at the start of the Gainesville Square downtown area. They are right next to the IHOP with a huge parking lot and parallel parking option. The front has a beautiful front courtyard with tons of seating and fire pits and inside is a smaller eating area with low and high tops with a full bar. Downstairs is the gem of pay as your drink tap wall with over 50 selections from IPA, Craft, Ciders and Wines. The menu is small but defined. From small plates to burgers, a kids menu and desserts. They have an extensive drink menu and of course the tap room downstairs. We got the standard burger, the Cuban dip, kids fish sticks and pretzel with cheese for our apps. Everything was seasoned well, hot and fresh. Food did take a while to come out but worth the wait!

Great little place for a drink and pub style food. Also has a tap room in the basement.

I'll let the photos speak for themselves--the barbecue is genuinely quite good. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich, which she said was very moist and flavorful. She also ordered fries and coleslaw, and said the coleslaw was especially good. The fries, however, were not fresh at first, but the staff replaced them without hesitation with a hot, fresh batch straight from the fryer. I had the brisket sandwich, which was just okay on its own, but their sweet BBQ sauce elevated it to very good. I also had the baked beans, which were unique and included apples--a nice twist. But the real standout of the meal was the Brunswick stew--it was outstanding. The counter staff was very friendly and happy to suggest sides but did not inform me of the upcharges on the beans and stew. Prices were fair by 2025 standards. All in all, we had a good visit. If I'm ever in the area and craving barbecue, I'd definitely eat there again. If you're in Flowery Branch and looking for a BBQ fix, check out Moonie's Texas BBQ.

To be honest I only come here for the wings, and the bar was set pretty low given that about the only place to get wings in Oakwood is from under a heat lamp at the grocery store. Wow what a difference, I started with an order (10) of half buffalo and half spicy chili, both mild as I didn't know what their heat level was at here. Wings were still crispy after the drive home even with all the sauce, darn tasty as well. I've now upped the heat level to very hot and they pack a punch. The space isn't much to look at, but it's clean and well lit. Definitely worth giving them a shot, I might even try something other than the wings at some point. Enjoy!

I stopped in for a salad and opted for gyro as my protein topping. Bad choice. It was like the texture of the sole of an old shoe. So tough! The salad wasn't much better, consisting of mostly the whitish core of the romaine head, way too much onion and carrots, and too few tomatoes. Their credit card print-out doesn't give an option for a tip, so I felt lousy about not having cash to tip. The guy behind the counter was busy tap-tapping on his cell phone and didn't bring me my food despite that I was sitting at a table with a drink and wanted to dine-in. He made a grunting sound to indicate that my bagged to-go salad was sitting on the counter. Maybe their typical meals are taken to-go, but I ate mine in the restaurant, a small, drab interior with little to coax me into wanting to return, unless I should do so to try out the wings.
