We were in the market to sell our house and felt the Stanfield Real Estate agency had a very good reputation. We made an appointment with Shane Stanfield and based on that meeting we went ahead and signed with them to put our house up for sale. Their initial service was very good, except that we had to correct the advertisement they had placed in their publications and all the public viewed web searches. They had listed our house as a four bedroom house when in fact it was a five bedroom. When agents and their clients started showing interest, Shane did not come and show the house, instead he sent a different agent whom we had not been introduced to. It was never explained to us that he would not be involved in the showing.And on occasions we had to show the house ourselves, and even when their agent was their we had to confirm basic information like property lines. And tour the house with the clients and their agents. Fortunately, the house sold very quickly and a reasonably good price, however, the escrow closing date was missed by almost 3 weeks, again we feel we did not get adequate representation from Shane and his team, to push for compensation at this time. We had moved 90% of our belongings to storage two days prior to the closing date only to be told at the last minute that the escrow was not going to close on time, this went on for like I say almost 3 weeks. I had taken a week off work to make the move, only to be told it wasn't going to happen. The bottom line we had signed with Stanfield because of its good reputation and the interview we had with Shane Stanfield, little did we know we would never see him again and only hear form him once or twice by phone, the rest of his communication was via text. And, nothing after the sale had closed, I would encourage people go with a cheaper option, even look at online options. Not impressed with the service. read more
