There was water spots left on it that was not there before they came. I am not pleased. I will not recommend this to company to any one. Was told the techs would clean under furniture and remove cleared off night stands- that didn't happen. There were a couple of small toy balls in the corner that I forgot to remove. When I came back they were still there totally untouched. So they just went around everything There was a light box in the closet I thought they would at leave just move over to clean under, but no. The technicians that came out to clean my carpets were amazing and very professional. When I booked the service, I was quoted one price for four bedrooms and the closets. when the technicians arrived they said they had to charge me extra for the master bedroom because it was oversized. At no point during my scheduling call with any of this mentioned to me. The technician also informed me that the closets were not included. While the carpets do look slightly better, I did unappreciation being quoted one price and charged another. I will not be using this company again or recommending them to anyone. read more

I requested two sofas and an ottoman to be cleaned and was given a quote. I verified the quote upon their arrival and then they charged my credit card a higher amount. They did not clean or attempt to clean 1/2 of the two sofas. You need to watch these people to see if they are actually cleaning the entire sofas. I spoke to the manager Mike who agreed that I should have not been charged the unauthorized amount. Yet the unauthorized amount has not been corrected and Mike does not return calls. Mark the owner refuses to talk to customers. This franchise location does the once trusted reputation of Stanley a disservice. read more

Like talking to a brick wall June 6 we paid almost $700 to have our ac ducts cleaned, and they were supposed to show us their before and after photos. But the workers were in too much of a hurry to do more than three seconds of flipping through the photos quickly and told me gruffly that I can contact the salesman Jeff Schroeder and he would send us all the pictures. My husband has called two or three times and sent an email, I have called twice. Jeff was not available but the office staff told both of us we would get the photos within 24-48 hours. They have had plenty of time over the past 2 1/2 months to send us the photos, and still no reply whatsoever. You can avoid a lot of frustration and feeling ignored by giving your business to a different duct cleaning company. read more

Stanley Steamer has lost a loyal customer! I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because I was able to easily book an appointment online. However, PRICING, SERVICE, ATTITUDE - all 1 stars! The 1 guy came in with horrible attitudes! Then everything was more money. Issues: -The staircase only includes 13 steps, anything over 13 your charged for. The landing were the stairs bend, extra. Why? -Charge more for a staircase and stop the foolishness with pricing! -The hallway was charged as a loft! This is not a loft but the manager said it was. Really!! -Then the walk in closet in the bedroom I was told was like another bedroom! What! So now they are appraisers of properties. Smh. -Then, they make you pay before they do any work. So even if the work is not done properly, you have to call them to come back out. The last straw for me was the worker! He had such a nasty attitude! And the manager hides behind the workers, behind the phone at the office and force the workers to get all the negative feedback. The guy was so rude and I don't know but it seems he is unhappy with his job or manager, or both! Either way, I will not use them again. This company is acting like they are hard strapped for cash and are Nickle and Diming the clients. So many companies offer carpet cleaning services. I will definitely be giving those companies a try going forward. Stanley Steamer has an advantage with their name being know, but it seems their reputation is declining FAST! First issue the technicians were late. The appointment was scheduled between 9am -1pm, and I had to call at 1:20pm to ask where they were, and they told me they were arriving shortly because they were coming from a job that was a little further away. While I understand that, the correct thing would have been to call and advise they were running late. They finally showed up at 1:30pm. From the beginning the technician started saying that it may not all come out because the tile has never been sealed, but I clean my grout yearly on my own, but this time decided to try a company and have them seal the grout, but it seems that is a mistake. I paid over $1,300 for stanley steemers to clean and seal my grout in the home and clean and deodorize 1 area rug. They didn't deodorize the rug, they cleaned it, but didn't deodorize it, even though I was charged. The grout still looks the same. I kept telling the technicians that I wasn't happy and all they said was I could call and ask for a courtesy call, but that's not the point, they should have done it right from the beginning. The technicians looked like they were rushing because when you go on the website and watch the video process and how it's done, they didn't do it like that. I questioned them about it, and showed them the FAQ page that says the process and showed the video, and they said that's not what they do, so basically they are false advertising to clients. I called as soon as the technician finished the job, and got customer service, who said they will send a new technician and a supervisor to re-do the job. But the issue is, why not do it correctly the first time, especially when the client is telling you that they are unsatisfied. read more

We have usually never left bad reviews for any company. However, unfortunately, this time, when I hired Stanley Steamer, we are not happy at all. They assured us of a great job and have strong advertisements, but it was not at all what was advertised, in fact quite the opposite. The job was lower than expectations significantly. They were way too quick, did not listen to any requests, and were very impolite in their acknowledgments. They simply ignored me when I asked for some areas to be redone and did not even have coverings on their foot. I am spending the next few days cleaning markings they have left behind. I have a medical problem and it is difficult to bend down, but I am having to reclean everywhere they were. They also did not provide a receipt of the service or purchase, not in-person or email or text. This was incredibly unprofessional and sketchy. It was more trouble than it was worth and I fully regret this service. I don't recommend it to anyone. It is the first time and last time we will ever hire this company. read more

I purchased new carpet that requires yearly cleaning to keep it within warranty and last year was my first cleaning since the install. I found myself very disappointed with Stanley Steemer. So, I decided to call and complain they were very understanding and sent out a new crew. Ralph Casale was one of the techs what an asset he is to Stanley Steemer. I have decided that Ralph Casale is the only service tech I will use at SS. He is experienced, professional, kind, honest, and hardworking employee. He came on time, gave me the estimate, and I agreed to the service what I didn't agree to is the $75 bill that I got for an estimate. At no time was I advised there would be a fee for the man to come out and give me an estimate. Usually if there's a business that requires an estimate they take that amount off the final bill if you move forward with the service, the salesman refused to delete that as he said a service was performed. Don't use Stanley Steemer air duct cleaning there are underlying cit's they won't tell you about. Their air duct cleaning service is very expensive. My recent experience with Stanley steamer has been the worst and I feel obligated to leave a negative review in order to give everyone insight of what I am currently dealing with. Did not imagine I would be dealing with such an unscrupulous company. Upper management dont seem to care have yet to receive a call it has been well over a week. Briefly the 411, saw a truck that was in my community and called got an appointment right away with one estimate, which later became a game of take take take and I was like what happened with the original quoted price? To the guys confusion and my illusion those quoted prices was for someone in a one bedroom studio even though my quote was for a 4 bedroom single family room. The degrading part of all this is that my intelligence was questioned when I pointed out that the dirty area that I had mentioned was still there !! I was assured when dry it would be cleaned to my satisfaction. So I was lead to believe all my worries would go away overnight as if in the twilight zone! Well guess what not only was nothing really clean the so called extra fee for the scent package was not even present; in other words it was simply just a smoke and shows act that when I asked for a redo; they sent the same rude and condescending crew that did the original bad job!!! I was fuming, I was not there the second go round and when my wife opened the door the guy literally said I already told you it wont look any better than we did yesterday; so already being rude once again and even yelling stating he knows his job and just ranting on about our carpet needing replaced. I told my wife to tell him to go back out after he sprayed something down and was spotting and dirtying up the carpet with his outside shoes. I reached out to the only number they have to be told I would have management reach me about my experience. I am still waiting, I called again today August 8 2024 in the hopes I get my money back and an apology for having such bad customer service and unsatisfactory job performance, these people disrespected my home and my wife!! One of the most difficult companies I've had to deal with. I was told over the phone twice that they would CALL me 30-minutes in advance when they are on their way for an appointment. I made it clear to the customer service reps that I have not moved into my new home yet and would need someone to call me in advance so I can make it there on time. Stanley texted me at 9:52am today that they were on their way and sent me another text at 10:05am that they had made it to the home. I was driving to my new home that they were servicing, and did not see the text about someone being there already. Their message states " Someone will wait 10-15 minutes before moving to their next stop." I show up before 10:20am, and no one is there. I call Stanley, and they tell me the tech left for his other schedule and can "try to fit me in again". They are EXTERMEMLY misleading when they say someone will call when they are on their way to your service. They mean they will TEXT you, and if you're driving, you better reply to them, or they are leaving with no phone call. I've had the run-around for over 2 days with Stanley and I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER recommend this type of business to anyone. Extremely stressful and completly unprofessional. read more

What I like about their personnel is they explain what they are doing and stop to show you what they have done. They are very professional and very friendly. Our air ducts needed to be cleaned. Stanley Steemer has always cleaned our carpet for years and always did a pretty good job. We decided to hire them for cleaning our air ducts; what a mess! Hopefully, never again! Particles from the attic's insulation were left on our clothes hanging in our close. Furniture in the family was covered with dust and particles from the attic, as well. Their mess was left for us to cleanup. We usually do not write reviews, but reading some of the negative comments, we are incline to believe that Stanley Steemer's creditability just maybe declining. We will continue to use Stanley Steemer for our carpet. Some of our flooring is now wood. We will continue to use company to clean our carpet and maybe wood floors. The carpet was never a concern for us, we do have our reservations about our wood floors. read more

I just bought a new home in Hudson Fl. Stanley came out to clean all of the carpets as well as the couch that was included in the sale. They showed up on time. Did a great job in trying to get all of the issues cleaned. They spent extra time working on the couch that showed signs of a past pet, dander issue. They cleaned the couch pillows as well. It took about 2 hours to get 4 rooms (1700 sq ft.) and the couch and pillows cleaned. They also treated the carpets with a protective chemical. Why are some business so short sighted about coupons that they end up loosing more money than the would have if they accepted them. That's what happened when the technician showed up and up sold me for over $120 in extra services. After agreeing to the sanitizer and the carpet protector, i presented him with a $25 off coupon i found on the internet. The coupon was $25 off a sale of $150 or more. After checking with the main office he told me that they would not be able to accept the coupon, it was for on line orders only. I cancelled all of the up charges. Stanley Steemer lost over $120 dollars in sales and my continued use of their services over a $25 coupon. Carpet cleaning is a very competitive business, I guess they don't need the business. If you use them, be careful of the up sales they can double or triple the cost quoted on the phone. read more

They did an excellent job considering the mess from a builder that was having to be cleaned up behind. Do not have carpet, so cannot comment on that. Carpets were damaged in cleaning and when i reached out to company to get damaged asessed it was only after 4 phone calls and a month later that someone finally came to my home to look at the carpet. Representative took pictures and told me they would get back to me with their conclusion. Fast forward to a month and a 1/2 later still no call from Stanley steamer. After 3 more phone calls trying to get ahold of Stanley steamer they finally called me back and said they are not responsible for the damage they could not have caused this damaged and they will do nothing to fix the damage. Excellent customer service! Bought a new place and wanted a trusted name to clean carpets as unable to remove carpet upon occupancy. Called on Thursday and was greeted with a super friendly customer service rep. She was able to schedule service the next day. Unfortunately, first crew did not move a few pieces of furniture (not heavy) as I went to rearrange furniture, I noticed a few missed spots. Rather than posting a negative review, I phoned and again spoke to the very friendly customer service rep. She informed me that there was a 10 day satisfaction guarantee and would send out another crew the next day. Crew arrived and was more than happy to re-steam and even found areas that I had not seen to clean. Even though, first service was not the best, a quick phone call and return visit, rectified the situation. Customer service alone is worth using this franchise location. Stanley Steemer returned to repair streaks and the streaks remain in our 3 year old carpet. They have returned twice to unsuccessfully re-clean it. I think it is irreparibly damaged from bad cleaning solution or equipment or the technician. Also, they are not returning calls locally or from corporate customer relations dept. Update: A few days after I left this review, I was able to speak with Melissa, and then contacted by Mike and others from the Corporate office regarding the awkward, and less than stellar customer service we had received. I very much appreciate Stanley Steemer trying to make things right. Faith restored in their customer service. Update: Just had carpet cleaning service from Stanley Steemer again, and wish I had requested the former service dream team of Dave and Doug. I don't know the names of the men that came to my house... I introduced myself, instead of replying with their names, they impatiently asked to see the areas I wanted cleaned. Awkward. I invited them in, showed them the two small areas for carpet cleaning, and an 8 by 11 foot terrazzo floor to steam clean. Then I showed them the two sets of coupons I had. Again, met with an attitude of more disinterest. The price for steaming cleaning the terrazzo had almost doubled from last year. I asked again about using one of my various coupons to discount the cost. In the past, the techs had always been more than happy to discuss the price, work needed, and how to leverage any coupon options. This tech did not to go over any of that. The only thing he wanted to discuss was how he and his partner had 41 years of carpet cleaning experience combined. He was anxious to cross the steam cleaning off his work order and get started. I had already moved, vacuumed, and cleared out the rooms of furniture before they arrived except for two items. I was surprised that they stood there and watched me move a large ottoman and an area rug. Previously, once the techs were there, I never had to lift a finger. I ended up having only two small areas of carpet cleaned... for the minimum visit charge of $90, not using any of the coupons I had taken the time to collect. I realized after they left, if the tech had taken the time to talk with me, and look at the coupons, I could have had three areas of carpet done for $3 more or considered a few other options. They finished everything in under 40 minutes. When I mentioned how quick the service was, I heard again about the 41 years of experience. I'm sure that they are the top team in their store as far as quota for the day. This transaction made me feel as if I was asking them for a favor, and then they gave me what was convenient for them. After they left, I was really angry to discover that even though I wasn't allowed to use any of my coupons, the tech took one of the two sets of coupons I had left out on the table with him without telling me. That was shady. I do appreciate the dispatch calling ahead 30 minutes as promised, the team arriving within the service window, and the decent work. But the customer service, general courtesy, and then theft of my coupon was way below par. I think my years and years of loyalty to Stanley Steemer are done. read more

I highly highly recommend NOT using Stanely Steemer EVER. I hired them 3 weeks ago to come steam clean my floors and rugs. During the initial cleaning, they damaged my very expensive and new rug with a massive stain. On top of that, my floor had large round marks from the machine they use the clean the floor. They came back to clean the rug and the stain got worse and the round marks were not take out of my tile. They then took the rug to their service center. The rug came back discolored and the texture was damaged from whatever treatment they used to remove the stain. They have also tried to remove the round marks out of my tile 3x with no success. After 3 attempts to re service things, I asked to be compensated for my rug and they declined and wanted to take it back to service it at their center. I basically spent $2000 to have my own damaged. I am extremely disappointed and will never use them again. BE AWARE! Terrible terrible service and they do not stand by their product. read more

First they showed up at 8:27 when my appointment is at 9. Normally not an issue but on a Monday morning, after thunderstorms until 2am, we were really dragging. They helped move some furniture to get to the couch easier and moved quickly. A little too quickly when we previously had our couch and love seat cleaned it took them about an hour and a half to do the sofa, loveseat, and the cushions. It took these people 30 minutes. After setting everything up they started about 8:45. They were pulling out the equipment at 9:17 am. Don't use this company they rush and try to upcharge everything. While the two gentlemen that came were nice, the HUGE discrepancy in cost was totally unwarranted. We feel like we got robbed. Furniture not cleaned well. They were very friendly and worked quickly but perhaps too quickly. The furniture was not cleaned very well. Because the furniture was not dry when they left it was not evident how poorly they did while cleaning. After it dried it was plain to see how incomplete the cleaning was. I payed $300+ and feel very ripped off. I will not use them again. This was a review I posted last week. I got a written response from the company requesting contact information (I provided it to them) to which they have not followed up on. Upon checking for further contact I see that my review was no where to be found and the 2 1/2 overall stars has risen to 3.
