Left filters out of place in main furnace, so loose dirt blown around the house for 2 days (which was instruction for wait to install new filter). Vacuuming incomplete. Found out that Stanley Steemer does NOT steam clean your carpeting, they use hot water, that you supply for them, no water on the truck and no holding tank for the dirty water. If you notice, their name is STEEMER "NOT" STEAMER. Anyway, my carpet cleaning job was awful. read more

So, I hired Stanley Steemer to come and clean a couple of area rugs after my Labradoodle had a two week bout of diarrhea. Poor thing. She's potty trained and really suffered. But there was definitely spots on my rugs that needed professional help. I called Stanley Steemer and the guy came out and said he needed to take two of my rugs back to the facility to clean. Okay, I get it. Well, Stanley Steemer ruined my wool rug!!!! There are now several thread bear holes in my Moroccan wool rug!!! Unbelievable. Worse of all, they tried to keep my rugs from me. Wouldn't give them back. Never scheduled delivery, never reached out to me. Finally I was like bring me my rugs! Damaged completely. Ruined. And they say the rug was like that when I gave it to them. Bull! They refuse to accept responsibility but gave every assurance they could clean a wool rug without issue. Don't trust them. Don't hire Stanley Steemer. Terrible customer service with finger pointing and zero responsibility. Unprofessional and not worth the disappointment. Hired Stanley to clean my carpet, tile, and hardwood floors. Quoted $285 including tax. Final bill was $330 even after removing grout sealer. Carpet is soggy. Haven't been able to inspect the work yet. Bathroom tile has debris in the corner. Shower wand was left on floor of shower. Hardwood floors have a film and foot prints see photo. I believe the issue is that they only had one mop head that they used in the bathroom then on the wood floors. Can't clean with dirty tools.... found soap debris in the hallway outside my condos door and again down on the lobby. Manager Mary nappier called. I seemed to be inconveniencing her. She put me on hold for few minutes picked up and said another manager will call me then hung up. I don't see any resolution being made. read more

I wanted my basement carpet and family carpet cleaned so I called Stanley Steamer When the guy came out my husband was home, by the time I got home he was gone. The carpets were cleanish. There were spots here and there but the carpets were so wet. It took up to 3 days of running high powered fans to dry the carpets. Now, because the carpets stayed wet for so long I have to use a carpet brush to raise the nap before I vacuum. So Stanley Steamer has caused me more work in the long run. Thanks Stanley Steamer..... I told the scheduler I wanted what I had last year when the cost was $322--this year it started with a quote for $380. Wow! My carpets had a horrible smell of dirty water after the service. Everyone who came in the house said the same thing. But the worst part was the person they sent out to redo it. Boy was I wrong, seeing how they were in and out within 25 minutes should have been the clue that nothing was done. They never moved my couch to clean behind it. And Upon further inspection of the second room there is dirt all over the floor still. I attempted to call to get a refund and they refused. Please stay away from this horrible, shady company. Mom needed carpet in a 12' x 20' den, an 8' x 8' office nook, a bedroom rug (border only) and the 14 x 18' living room rug cleaned. They didn't give us a quote over the phone they said they'd have to see it first. We had used them before so we agreed. When the team got here, the guy said it was significantly more expensive to clean the living room rug (over $300 for that one rug) because the rug is a different texture than the carpet and he would have to use a "different cleaning method". He then 'paced' out a measurement of 14' x 19' and put that price on the itemized list. I had to get out the tape measure and prove it was 18' then had to insist that he change the price. He said "it's only a couple of dollars ". It was a $21 difference!! The crew cleaned the carpeted areas first ($65 each room) then we were expecting them to use those different cleaning equipment or methods (as explained earlier) for cleaning the living room rug. Nope, they used the EXACT same method & equipment as the other two rooms. I called him out on it and told him that was some shady B.S. charging TRIPLE the price for the living room rug because of the "texture". He said it was a COMPANY policy. I guess things are different in Norcross, Georgia?? I'm giving them 2 stars because I honestly thought they did a decent job cleaning. They moved furniture and cleaned under it. This is going to be long. TL;DR: Invest in a Bissel Pet Pro carpet cleaner, you won't get scammed by a company that lies and refuses to refund for services paid although the service was not done. First, they have a 5 hour window which is already is a long time. They sent me a notice that my cleaner was on his way and he showed up two hours later. Second, he told me it should have been marked a "portable" job but I didn't meet those requirements so it wouldn't have been. The tech should have been honest from the beginning and said he couldn't do it. I prepay and leave because we were going to a hotel for the night so the carpets could dry. We come home the next day and see that the carpets are exactly the same. Like... weren't touch with water or cleaning product at all. I had had furniture delivered and couldn't wait for another appointment. Luckily, we had a Bissell Pet Pro carpet cleaner and it did amazingly! I called corporate to get a refund. The girl, Mina, says to send her pictures of my carpet. A few days go by and she calls back and says there's a no refund policy but was happy to give me a $100 gift card. I asked for the policy and she refused to provide that information. In short, they know that it's not cost effective for people to take them to court to get $300 back so they keep it and give customers the finger. They said it was something to do with the square footage of the room and I asked why that was not addressed before, as I provided the room sizes. I have to say that unfortunately I'm not that impressed with the service I've received. I've had my carpets cleaned on two or three occasions at least, I bought one of their packages. I just don't feel like they spend enough TIME on actually "scrubbing" the carpets. In watching them, they basically just swipe over the carpet like they're vacuuming and that's it!! I'm in a little condo, and so i've only had them do Living Room, Dining Room and a hallway - and they're never here for more than like 30-45 minutes which kinda blows my mind. And of course I paid extra for the animal cleaner, as well as the protectant. So they had to go over the areas at least 2-3 times (i think 2. I think the animal one is in the shampoo). But yet a week or so later, the dirty areas would come back. I guess I just don't feel like the cost of the service justifies what you receive. I'd say at least half the guys were super-friendly, and the other ones were either marginal or borderline creepy. Customer Service was good: i called once or twice and they were always super friendly/helpful on the phone. Maybe you'll have better luck. Maybe it's just a fluke. We've only had our carpets professionally cleaned once, so I'll stick with 4 stars for now. But I have nothing but positive things to say about our recent experience with Stanley Steemer (from this location) and the gentleman (actually named Stan, haha!) who came and performed the cleaning. We booked the appointment directly from their website which was convenient & receive an email confirmation not long after that. They were running a nice special of $100 to clean the carpets in 2 rooms & a hall. The only thing we had to add is a staircase. The thing that sealed the deal is they will move most furniture (see their website for details, they don't move things like entertainment centers, tv's & beds, etc.) AND put it back on protective blocks or pads before they leave! That price more than made up for us not having to deal with renting a machine & moving the furniture ourselves (probably injuring our backs moving our big couch & loveseat in the process!). Stan was such a great guy! Professional and friendly. He was even available to arrive a little early and called us ahead to be sure that would be okay. He took the time to look over the areas to be cleaned and explain the process and offered us helpful tips & info before he left. In all he was in & out within an hour. Had we done this ourselves it would have taken half a day, I'm sure. He also mentioned the furniture and tile cleaning services they offer for future reference. The carpets look brand new again (carpet is currently 2 years old & we have 2 cats) and we are very pleased with the level of cleaning. Their vacuum system really sucks up a great deal of the moisture from the cleaning and everything was dry within 4 - 8 hours, depending on the room (but their site does say it may take up to 24 hours for it to completely dry). read more

District manager and HR would not do anything to make this right, apologize or take action to reimburse what we know went missing during the time the two technicians were in our home. This was a difficult call for us to make and never thought the Company would not help or believe us. They did not believe us. Lack of care during this difficult situation was evident. Our carpet was supposed to be returned in 2 weeks. After about 17 days my wife called and they said they couldn't find the rug. someone then called back a couple days later and they located it. When they came to deliver they unfortunately, made an error on the pad they ordered. The technician was on site and looked at the pad we wanted to replace, but wrote down the wrong one. Since it was custom cut they refused to give us the pad we actually wanted. Their answer was sorry nothing we can do about honoring our mistake. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We paid them about $250 to come out and clean our upstairs carpet, but only one room was a big concern to us. Our cats had messed in our office a couple times and we had scrubbed out the stains, but there was still a little bit of odor lingering. I reminded them multiple times that that was our problem area. They spent about a total of 20 minutes in that room and it smelled about 100x worse when they were finished. We also paid for deodorizer, but obviously it did nothing. It only got worse as it dried. We called to ask them to come out and do just that room again, but the guy who showed up refused to steam it, he just insisted that it needed more deodorizer and sprayed again. It did nothing. He was in my house for a grand total of about 10 minutes. We just bought our own carpet shampooer for about $90 and started doing the work ourselves, and the color of the water coming out of that carpet is insane. It already smells a hundred times better and I'm convinced that Stanley Steemer just did the bare minimum and didn't bother making sure the focus areas were actually clean. TLDR; Waste of money, don't pay these people a dime. read more

We had our basement carpet, couch and throw rugs "cleaned" by Stanley. Started off fine. As the guy walked around the house, things started adding up. When he provided an updated quote, I was shocked. I asked to talk with my wife about it first. He was off to the races and cleaning things before I even had a chance to say no. He cleaned/deodorized and protected things I had no intention of doing anything to. For example, $180 for an area rug that I bought for $200... In general, I felt pushed into buying more services than I needed. While wet, everything looked great, but stains showed after things dried. So again, what was the point. I filled out a survey expecting at least an email response to the concerns I mentioned and got nothing. The wording in the survey even called out if you felt you were forced to purchase additional services which makes me question the legitimacy of the services provided. There appears to be other independent crews out there with better reviews. I wish I did my research first. read more

While Stanley Steemer did mess up previously by not sending out the portable equipment on their truck to perform the necessary carpet cleaning services, they have since redeemed themselves. The job was performed by Gary Thiessen on Sat., 6-4-2022, and as always with anything Gary does, it was done to perfection. Valentin came along also to help him with the equipment. Gary also took the large wool & silk area rug with him back to the plant for their special cleaning process and when it was finished, he delivered it on Sat., 6-25-2022, and also laid it back down on the floor. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone. I requested to get two shag rugs cleaned, total area of 120 sqrt ft. Although the guys who came to my place are very nice. However, they tried to upselling me by saying the carpet can only be sent in to the facility instead of in-home cleaning, quoted me total of $350. When they found out it's way out of my budget, they told me it's fine to use in-home cleaning as well. And told me to add more services like cleaning the back of the rug for total of $150. When they actually started to work on cleaning the rug, the cleaning was very lousy. Just vacuumed each surface one or two times and took them less than 15 minutes to clean both rugs. When I mentioned there are flat (heavier traffic) area on the rugs, they said they can't do anything about it. My rugs basically look exactly the same before and after cleaning. read more

I watched their grout cleaning video online the floors and grout lines looked so clean. The tech came out I asked him if he could get my grout clean of course he said he could. I am able to get the grout lines clean it just takes a while and a lot of elbow grease. After 2.5 hours my floors looked the same. I repeatedly told him the floors didn't look much better. This was a total waste of time and money. Finally the tech put the solution on the floor full strength and scrubbed a little bit and the floors grout looks much better. Unfortunately I think it would've probably taken him another three hours to complete the job I would not recommend them or if you use them have them use the full strength the product on the floor and have them scrub the grout lines. Had a not so good experience. The rate I was quoted on the phone was incorrect according to the lead tech, Luis. The service tech's came in and requoted the job and it was almost double the cost. I had to cancel the hardwood floor cleaning due to the price change. Also the guys did not have all the right tools to do the tile job so I was forced to have only my floors in my bathroom cleaned and then added decided to add a color seal for the grout. They could not do the tub surround and shower because Luis claimed not to have the right tools on the truck. The one guy was working hard in the bathroom while the other one (Luis) was barely working, meandering in various rooms in my house. He refused to help the other guy that was working hard. Butt dirty carpets givin' you a headache? Well I did, have a headache that is. I have dark creamed colored carpet in the front room, a small hallway and two bedrooms. I called Stanley Steemer to clean the carpets twice a year because I don't own a steam cleaner nor do I intend on buying one since I live in an apartment with minimal storage space. Two gentlemen came the first time and were very courteous. I moved almost all of the light furniture and toys out of the front room. They place the sofas and tables on little foam blocks so the underneath would dry (takes about 8-12 hrs to fully dry). At the time I only had the front room cleaned because I was unsure if they considered a 6x5 patch on carpet a hallway. I ask the men about the cost but they couldn't answer my questions, whata' you goina' do? They talked about cleaning the upholstery then asked if I would like to see a demonstration kitchen tile cleaning. I declined but I'm sure corporate wanted them to ask. They weren't persistent about it which I liked. The second time, two new gentleman came and were just as professional as the previous men. After they did the front room they asked about the hallway and bedrooms. I asked for a price quote and if they could work around the furniture (bed, nightstands, dressers...). "No problem" . They helped me move some items out of the rooms and did their thing. Since they didn't do the whole room they charged me the same price as a hallway. They not only cleaned the carpet but deodorized and protected it. These guys were awesome. During the cleaning I could see how dirty the carpets were and what a difference steam cleaning made. Obviously something I could never accomplish vacuum cleaning alone. My neighbor saw the van and asked about the service and prices. She was so impressed that she called for an appointment too. She had nothing but praises for them as well. I've also noticed other vans around the neighborhood. Apparently the word is getting out about this company. Maybe I started a trend?
