Stanley Steamer came to our home to do several carpets and my office chairs. I've been using them for years. The representative did a fairly good job. When he left I left to go to a meeting and saw that his hose had broken a dislodged one of our outside lights. I called the next day. The manager came out and looked at the damage. He told me he didn't think his employee did the damage. There was no one else in the driveway prior to the employee and I had seen that the hose had been dragged between the lights by the employee. He offered $100. I had no idea what that repair would cost so I told him to send it. When I found out the cost I did not cash the check and called to say that amount will not cover the damage his employee did. In other words, I couldn't prove he did it so now I have a $500. repair bill. No more Stanley Steamer. Beware. read more

I had your company come out on 3/6/25 to clean the floors in our whole house, LVP in the basement, Tile in the entry, half bath and laundry room and hardwood floors everywhere else in our house. Our house is 2,210 sq ft. The technicians came and I let them in the house, we are in the final stages of remodeling, and this was the last thing we wanted to have done. Since you are the "professionals" we decided to hire you to clean our floors instead of us doing it ourselves, MAJOR regret. Backstory, we had construction dust, debris, ect and We JUST had the whole house painted. Caliph and Skender were the technicians and called me when they were almost done, we are currently not living there yet and I had to run out to work so was heading back when they called. When I got back I noticed they had damaged multiple areas of baseboards, window sill, bench, all newly painted. They put our personal belongings on our window sill and bench, heavy weights, metal mirror, stools and they caused the marks and chips. Besides that there was still debris and dust on the floor! We just spent $1,100 for someone to damage our home and not to do their job. I called the technician right away and he denied it all. I called the 1800 number and they told me they would send another technician and manager out the next day 3/7/25. Jeferson and Laresya came out and I explained the situation and showed them all the areas they damaged. They agreed they did not do a good job and said they were probably tired and trying to get done. Plus Laresya said this job should have taken 4 hours to complete, not 2 hours! They both ran their fingers on the floor and dust came up. They asked what I wanted and I said a full refund. They agreed that coming and doing the floor again would not be good for the hardwood(aka more water being added to hardwood is not good). They called their manager Charles and he came out to look, again I explained the situation and he asked me what I was looking for, I said a full refund, and he said OK, someone from corporate in Ohio will be reaching out and will take care of it. I get a call maybe an hour later from his manager, I forget his name, but saying they cannot give a full refund because they do not believe their technicians caused any damage!! COMPLETE OPPOSITE of what they all just told me in person!!! They were bringing up that we had a wall with missing baseboards, which makes NO sense, that was never an issue I brought up! I asked to speak to his manager and hours later with no call still, I called the main number again. Got on the phone with Dan the General Manager, and he is telling me he doesn't believe his technicians did this to my house!! He is literally telling a customer they are lying!! Also he told me Charles, Jefeson and Laresya all said they didn't tell me I would get a full refund. They are ALL lying to his face, I wish I had someone with me or a camera because they ALL agreed with me that this was a horrible job and would submit for a full refund!! This is absolutely insane!! I have pictures to prove it and the general manager is telling me no, that didn't happen?! How are you guys still in business with this customer service? Dan kept insisting that he was not giving me a refund and that maybe he would cover the cost of the painting, if he felt that his workers actually damaged our property. He said he would offer someone else from the company to come out and clean again, and I said why would I want you guys to come out again when you just damaged our house and plus it's not good to add more water from another cleaning to our hardwood floors! Laresya even agreed, saying yeah you don't want to add more water. Now I have to find another company to come and clean properly but Dan is insisting I do not deserve a full refund. I just paid $1,100 for this!! Which now looking back is another red flag, they made me pay upfront before the work was done!! I should have never done that! That is a major problem. I expect more from a national company that has been in business for decades!! I expect a call from someone from corporate not another call from the GM at the local level. Cleaned and deodorized a carpet, carpet still smelled very bad, no follow through. I called to schedule a job. They scheduled pretty quickly for same day. At the time of the appointment, they showed up and said they can't do it because the don't have the right equipment for the apartment and left. Apartment is on 3rd floor, that was on the appointment request, you are asked what floor the carpet is on. 10 minutes later someone calls me trying to reschedule and then mid call changes his mind and said they will do it same day. They come to the apartment, clean and deodorize 2 rooms and a hallway for $240 more or less. I came back to see the apartment after the tenant called me that the carpet still stinks and he does not believe it was ever cleaned. I said don't worry it's a trustworthy company they will do right by you. I emailed customer care they said to call and schedule a re-do. For that they said you have to wait 4 days (now that they have my money). I couldn't wait 4 days with a carpet that smells for a tenant that just moved in. I asked for a refund so I will get the service somewhere else, they said someone will call you to discuss. Someone did call 2 or 3 days later and explained that they don't refund their warranty is not for refunds. They offered me a coupon. Fine I rent blowers fully dry the carpet and call Stanley to come back out to clean a family room and a small bed room attached for them to come out my adult daughter tells them what rooms to do and it still doesn't get done because they couldn't reach me to confirm I'm pretty sure I confirmed the day before when I put the order in... I call (to find out they actually have a service for water damage to carpets that was never offered when they came out the first time) but anyway ask what am I scheduled for and the representative on the phone says a family room with a small bed room attached but the techs are finished for the day (waite it says 24hrs) we can heve someone out tomorrow..Thanks Stanley but no thanks its 100 companies that do this same job...NEXT!!!! read more

Long Post Alert!!!! If I could give this place no stars I would. Where do I start? I had seven rooms of carpet to be cleaned + a head board that I was charged $90 dollars for . I was looking for a carpet cleaning service and because of my allergies I opted to get the carpet professionally done & not do it myself the 1st time. I wanted to go with a big company to insure that the job was done right, boy, I could not be more disappointed. Intially, while the carpet was still damp, I thought it was okay, more like, it's fine & looks clean. Our home is new w/new carpet so it wasn't stained or anything like that we just wanted professionals to handle the cleaning. There was 1 guy sent 1 out of the 3 times and he was in & out in less than a hour which I thought was strange but I trusted him, after all, he is the professional. After this guy tried to sell us on deodorizer because he said that will be better with my allergies, we opted out of this option, tipped the guy & he left. Downhill from here, once the carpet dried it was hard, almost like it wasn't rinsed properly and we saw all the areas that he did not hit, now I see why he moved so quickly.I called Stanley Steamer and they had another crew out within hours, sounds good right? Nope, this was so bad, there were 2 guys this time, Hakeem & another guy that didn't give a name but Hakeem was the guy to worry about. From the time the crew came into my home Hakeem was yelling & talking to the guy like he wasn't a person, the problem began when Hakeem thought he would talk to me the same way and the same tone as he did his crew member. Every room he went into there was a problem & arguement or him saying that he couldn't reach a spot when the guy the day before got all those places but just did a horrible job. Before long I was tired of arguing and called stanley steamer to notify them of the constant disrespect and unprofessional behavior by the worker, I was told to just let him do what he wants & anything not done just call it in and they will have a manager out there next time, but don't argue with him. What! Ma'am this is my home and I will not shut up & be disrespected by anyone! It was time for them to leave at this point. While wrapping up the equipment, the guy that was being yelled at put the metal cleaner on my hardwood floor and scratches the floor, Hakeem immediately runs over and tells the guy to get out the house now " I told you to be careful " is what he says to the worker, mind you, the whole time I am on the phone with a representative as it was unfolding. Hakeem tried to put some kind of gloss over the scratches & said I don't see anything anymore let me take a picture, I said no and please leave my home I will handle this with corporate I just want you to leave, Hakeem then says" I'm not going anywhere I want to take a picture of the gloss" at this point I was already on the phone with a manager name Rob Harvey who heard the commotion. It got to the point where I told Hakeem to leave my home before I call the police and he said " I don't care call them" wtf? The whole time the manager is on the phone doing nothing but listening, eventually after taking my wife's phone to call the cops because he was now trespassing, he hurried and left out the home, once he saw I was serious. The next day Rob Harvey along with another manager came to my home to redo the whole carpet, take pictures and make excuses for why it may have seemed like Hakeem was yelling. Yes, they cleaned the carpet right this time with a lil extra treat of deodorizer & scotchgard, whoopie, and asked to leave a review. I was going to wait to leave the review until after they fixed the flooring but it's been 2 weeks and nothing has been done, just a lot of someone will reach out to you. I'll give him credit for having someone reach out but that was all it was, now we are having to wait yet again and go back and fourth with this company for them to fix a problem they caused. I scheduled a cleaning for the time window of 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. When the cleaners hadn't arrived by after 4 p.m. I rescheduled online for 2 Days Later. I had already moved all of the furniture out of the areas I wanted cleaned, so this was an inconvenience as I had to move my furniture back until the day of the rescheduled cleaning. It is now 20 minutes after 2 p.m. and there is still no sign of the cleaners. My cleaning window for today was 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as well. Don't waste your money or efforts on these time wasters. Have used them several times at different properties that i have owned. Carpets always come out clean as new, if there are stains that they think will return they will tell you. If you use the discount codes online they are pretty economical. I have never used them for tile wood or upholstery. Easy schedule, speedy availability, great service, cost for the service was reasonable. I was running late and I called the company to let them know and upon my arrival the guys were waiting. So I'm going to come straight out of left field with this and let you know every angle of this carpet cleaning company. Step 1: Making The Appointment. You can either call their customer service number to make the appointment OR get a quote by going on their online website. So I ordered two rooms and one hallway with deodorizer for the one hallway. They had a promotion going on for two rooms at $99 and another promotion for $30 off when you spend $150 or more. Prior to selecting which promo code I was going to enter in, my price was over $150 so I decided to take the $30 off which cut the cost down to $128.40. They send you a confirmation email about your scheduled appointment. You can schedule appointments up to months in advance. You do get to pick the time frame that they come out but they give you a 4 hour window in that time frame. I recommend having them come out earlier as opposed to later just to factor in the time it takes to dry the carpets. They called around 11:45AM to let me know that they were about 30 minutes away and they were just about to be finishing the job. They were about 15-20 minutes late, and they sent me two guys. I have used Stanley Steemer in the past for carpet cleaning, however this is one of their corporate locations. I believe the last time I used them I used one of their franchise locations. Yes, it does make a difference, hence why I am mentioning this. Here is how this makes a difference: If a franchise moves the furniture, they will most likely charge you a service fee and they do not let you know this upfront. The corporate company will come out, move furniture for you and they seem to work a bit harder on the stains and they are pretty quick with the jobs they do. For example, my guys came out around 12:20PM. They were in and out within less than an hour and that was after a larger order than I had originally placed. So here's what happens the day they finally arrive. You get a call from them giving you an estimate of when they will be there. It might be 10 minutes before they get there it might be an hour before they get there...bottom line, they made the call within the 4 hour window so they see themselves as being on time. You can't call customer service to get a better time frame because they will only tell you that they have no idea and that the people will come within the 4 hour window and that they will give you a call. First they went over the cost with you and look over the areas you want cleaned and what stains could possibly come out, versus which ones might not, etc. In my case, I had just moved into a house where the previous tenants had cats and left the stains behind without bothering to have a carpet cleaning company come out to clean up. Now whether it's a franchise or corporate company they will explain that they have a package (special promo going on, honestly they always have this, so it's not limited time or anything). They offer the cleaning that you initially ordered and add deodorizer for free of charge. They then tell you that you will have 18 months to use all the cleanings (they come out two more times and cover the same amount of rooms, can be any rooms, for no cost (since you're paying that upfront if you choose to go forward with their program) and that you can use the entire cleaning all on the same day or split into two separate dates/times. That changed the price to about $390 something...which actually is a decent price if you think about it because $128*3 is 384 and they are already adding the deodorizer for free. I politely declined and they proceeded to tell me that they could clean the stairs for $20 more, and it did seem like a pretty sweet deal because when I priced it the same online before they arrived, it would have cost me an extra $50. So I accepted that offer and they did do a great job with the stairs. They also offered me to deodorize the two rooms as well as the hallway (initially I only wanted the hallway deodorized) and they knocked off one of the rooms, so I got three for the price of 2. They offer you a lot of promotional offers, which generally is one thing I hate, but in this case they all seemed reasonable. They worked fast, but did an amazing job! I was worried that some of the stains wouldn't come out because they were there before I moved in and God knows how long they were there for! Most of them came out believe it or not and the deodorizer was great too! In the summer, hot air rises and with that, so do odors so that really helped out with the smell. The carpet looked a lot better than it had initially looked. Now comes the cost. For cleaning and deodorizing two rooms, cleaning and deodorizing the steps and hallway it came to $175.48. Keep in mind, they cleaned and deodorized the two rooms, hallway and stairs and moved furniture. They charged me for cleaning and deodorizing 2 rooms and a single step clean. They basically saved me a lot more than I would have had to pay and they did a great job! read more

I had Stanley Steemer in to clean the tiles and grout in my kitchen. They left it such a mess - pachwork of different levels of clean - that we couldn't show our house for over a week. They told me the problem was my fault because there was wax on the surface! Duh! couldn't they see that and aren't they supposed to be the experts? Other than recommend three tile specialists who could correct the problem, there was nothing else they could do. After me threatening to take them to Small Claims Court, they did offer to bring in different equipment and get the floor back to normal - but only a a week later. I turned them down because I no longer had trust that they knew what they were doing. I called in Facilities Specialists of Chestnut Hill who did a great job stripping and cleaning the tiles. Thanks Stanley Steemer for costing me an extra $1,200 to clean up the mess you made in my kitchen. I will be sending you the bill and I expect you to pay for at least half of it. I had their workers report that said their was no prior damage. They just denied responsibility with no good reason. I was charged for deodorizing because the cleaner (salesman) said my steps smelled of dog.I hired them to clean the steps, upstairs hall and one bedroom. I have a dog but there is no odor in my house, still, he insisted. Before He began work he told me he would take me to review the carpet when he finished. He did not. I dismissed it because I knew the carpet was wet. When I went upstairs the next day there was an obvious hole right in front of the bedroom to be cleaned. I called to report the problem.I was told someone would call me to resolve the issue. I was called by someone whose position in the company is unknown. He insisted the problem could not have been caused by their cleaners. I told him that I had been in the bedroom and hall several times before the cleaners arrived in order to remove anything the might be in the way and knew there was no hole. I was called by someone else who said the cleaners told him the hole was already there and assumed I knew it. The hole is a circle. He told me it was from wear. When does wear occur in a circle? Why would they not have mentioned a hole before they began? I consulted my daughter who had been in that room and hall a few days before. (It had been her bedroom.) She confirmed what I knew, there had been no hole. Additionally, the bedroom had not been adequately cleaned. There was a segment of dirt and dirt around the edges. I put a stop payment on the check. Since then, I have been called by two other men who have insisted that I should pay and the problem was not theirs. No one has ever come to look at the damage. I sent a picture to the first person. I had the carpet cleaned because I am getting my house ready for sale. I now have to replace the carpet. The broker went through my entire house prior to the cleaning and I asked her to return after the cleaning. She said she absolutely knew there had been no hole in the carpet. At no time has anyone asked to inspect the area or take responsibility. They ask for payment. My response is, "Are you going to pay for the new carpet?" If there were minus stars I would give them. The cleaning is poor and destroyed the carpet. The representatives lie, sell you something you don't need, and have been trying to bully me into payment. My advice, NEVER use this company! read more

I was very disappointed and will not use Stanley Steamer again. My carpets smelled like wet dog and I saw stains when they left! And I do not have nor have I ever had an animals. I was charged $242.00 for my approx 900 sq ft basement, when I made the appt, I told them I had 1200 sq ft. I was quoted a price of $199.00 for 1200 sq ft. The day of the cleaning the serviceman charged me additional for a 2 step landing, ignoring the fact that I had a contract for $199.00 for 1200 sq ft. When I asked why? He just babbled on and on. He was driving me absolutely crazy, he just kept talking a mile a minute, telling me I needed all these additional things done to my carpet or I risked getting sick. What?? My house is immaculate and as I told him before I do not have any pets or smokers, and this room is hardly used! He never stopped and was quite rude at times, even after I told him many times my carpet was being ripped up and replaced with wood in a couple of months. He even said "he did a lot of homes in my development and there are a lot of Israeli's here, am I Israeli?" Really! What? He told me I had water damage in my rug and I better get the extra enzyme deodorizer for an additional $93.00. I did not want to spend another penny. I am the original owner I have never had a drop of water in my basement which is above ground and bone dry. I had called another company first that was a little cheaper, and they kept me waiting 2 hrs over my scheduled time, and when I finally called they had said they couldn't come that day but could come the next at 8am. They never showed up so I cancelled them and went online for Stanley Steemer. I scheduled it around 9am on a Sat morning for between 11-3pm. They called 11:15 and told me they were on their way. They arrived about 11:40am. They were efficient and gladly pretreated extra spots, and went over the more stained areas. Used Stanley Steemer for the first time today. Although I found them a tad pricey, I knew I'd get good results, and I wasn't disappointed. The crew was scheduled to arrive between 9 am and noon; shortly after 10 I got a phone call saying they were on their way, and they arrived a few minutes later. The crew (Stefon and James) were polite, introducing themselves and shaking our hands upon arrival. They worked quickly and efficiently, yet did a thorough job. Our 7 rooms were cleaned in about 1-1/4 hours, with everything put back where it belonged. I'd definitely use Stanley Steemer again, and I highly recommend them. read more

Had the tile cleaning done in 2 small bathrooms. Doesn't even look like anything was done. Horrible. Tiles on the floor still look dirty. Total waste of money. Then I asked why they weren't doing the walls, they said that was x-tra. Would never recommend to anyone. Not worth the money. read more

while my service was good the money part was an issue it was not explain to me properly about what area was is considered what is caused my wife to spend an additional 204.00 on top of my 118.77. this is wrong its not my job to explain your companies service, it is yours I would a free service next time for 5 complete areas with out restrictions. can anyone do there job properly any more? jim Comuso 609-932-9913 read more
