I took it to Jack Yeager, who instantly knew what I wanted and produced a few mountings for me to try. They took the stone out of its current ring and placed it in the new one (ordered in my size so it fit perfectly right away). It looks 100% prettier in its new setting thanks to Jack's expert selection. He was good about explaining why he recommended the ring he did and giving me options as to style and material, and the staff was great about communicating. I went back into his shop on Monday and he explained what the coins were worth (at market rate). He was also very upfront and transparent on his fees (which ended up being around 10%). I found they had an interesting collection but definitely not very large. Also the prices seemed quite high for comparable places.
