Starting in 2019, I sought ought to learn about wedding rings, diamonds, and ultimately to put together the greatest engagement ring for my now wife, Veronica. Joe Soukenik and his team spent a great deal of time designing and ultimately building the most perfect wedding ring for Veronica. We are now married. The Ring: The ring is rose gold with a modified, diamond lined infinity band. The 1.0 karat round diamond sits elevated on top. Folks, this is the most attractive ring anyone of our peers have ever seen. it is NOT a 20,000$ ring, yet Veronica's ring gets compliments more than those who have far more expensive rings. Why? it is because Rivchun and Sons know what they are doing. It is the woman whose finger the ring is on... It is the custom work... and lets face it, the high grade diamonds make a huge difference. First experience... I came out from Los Angeles, as my brother and relatives in the past have used Rivchun. The Rivchuns are now the Soukeniks, and Joe Soukenik is the master jeweler and owner. Been there for most of his life, smiling with thanksgiving. His staff is friendly, all of them are into what they do. Without exaggeration, Joe Soukenik has probably brought hundreds of individuals in to his windowed office and has spent the great expense of time with them explaining Diamonds (gradations, shapes, ratings, and all the rest). He took Veronica and I into his office and spent an hour and a half with us. He is so excited about his work, and you can tell that it isn't a rouse. He would've spent 5 hours with us if we had that many questions. We left with greater understanding. Joe is a disarming, attentive person. He also has that great Cleveland work ethic that few folks know about. We live in LA, grew up in Cleveland. i'll tell you, I don't know one Clevelander that doesn't consider a work week to be less than 50+ hours. The best, and they pride themselves on their work, which is why Clevelanders set a high bar for the businesses they patronize. In LA, we give thanks if an employee says hello. Joe, thank you for your endless patience. At no point did your tail feathers get ruffled, as I know I delayed and kept changing ideas. Anyways, we are so happy to be established with you all. Joe has recently been blessed (and he knows it) to have his son Jack join the team. Jack is a younger version of Joe and emits the same high vibes. Rare. While it may exist, I know of no other jeweler that will treat each customer with the same respect and same price point. I am not the most trusting when it comes to jewelers. I checked out everything claimed here, and voiced skepticism. Rivchun holds up and they are smart because they do what they love and beleive in great service. The Parking is simple, for being in a historic downtown Cleveland building. you simply park on the 3rd or 4th floor in the parking garage next door, and there is a skywalk to the City Club building. I used this jeweler to resize and appraise my grandmothers ring. My family has been using them forever and this was originally where my grandparents got the ring from. First I was quoted one price and told it would be a week. They called to let me know the price of platinum is expensive and doubled my quote. When the week was up and no one called I called them to check up and was told they were out of platinum and just got in the order so they would START It now but the lady who resizes it going to on vacation soon so I would have to wait another week. 1 day shy of my final week I called and was told that the ring was done but we were waiting on Joe to do my appraisal on it, the woman on the phone didn't know when it would be done and that they are busy and she said maybe in a couple days. I get that places are busy but I don't want to be given incorrect quotes of time and money. I'm annoyed big time! read more

I found dealing with Rivchun Chas S & Sons very frustrating. I had worked with one of the store owners, Joe, to find an engagement ring. We finally settled on a beautiful estate stone. To my dismay, the store called me several days later and informed me that they had inadvertently 'chipped' this stone while setting it, rendering it unfit for sale. The store refused to sell me a ring with a comparable carat weight and color diamond for the same price; instead, the store gave me a choice between a smaller certified stone with a yellow tint for the same price - a far cry from the stone I was originally offered, or a stone comparable in color/cut/clarity but for hundreds more! The sales manager, Joe, had offered to throw in the cost of the setting. Even with this 'concession', my out-the-door cost was $200 higher than what he originally offered. However, I feel that since I was promised a stone that was damaged through the store's negligence, I should get a comparable stone for the original asking price. Our difference was about $200, and I offered to meet Joe at half way. Incredibly, he refused. Further negotiations went nowhere. I walked away from this entire experience rather disgusted. In my opinion, I would recommend finding a store that will work harder to fix its mistakes and to earn your business. read more

Wow, we were so impressed with Rivchun! I just got engaged and needed to have my ring sized. My fiance bought my ring when he was home in Connecticut so I needed to find a local jeweler to size it for me. Charlotte was delightful and made sure it fit perfectly even if that meant I needed to come back a second time. I didn't need to leave it overnight either - it took an hour and I was able to go back and pick it up!! So great for someone who is obsessed with her ring. :-) Joe is one of the owners and he was extremely helpful with the process and even talked to us about some of the rare pieces they have right now. My fiance and I went shopping for rings together. We had already picked out a diamond online and needed to have it set. It is few and far between for jewelers willing to set a stone you did not purchase from them. Rivchun was more than willing to work with us! We found a perfect setting which, unfortunately, could not be made by the original manufacturer in the color of gold we wanted. Rivchun quoted us a lower price than the original to have it custom made with the color of gold we desired. We waited a few weeks for the wax carving, made a few changes to it and then approved the final wax. A few weeks later, I was thrilled with the final result when my fiance proposed! The ring is of such high quality and the setting is absolute perfection! We have received so many compliments on the quality and detail. This ring is better than a Tacori even. I'm very grateful to be wearing the engagement ring and wedding band that my grandfather purchased for my grandmother from Rivchun in 1956. The rings were gorgeous on their own but needed some touching up when I received them. My sister and I both took our 1920s Art Deco engagement rings here to have the prongs replaced. They did a beautiful job on both the rings. Each time I went in, they cleaned my ring so it sparkled beautifully. They even cleaned my earrings, that they did not work on and were not purchased there while I waited and clean the earrings and several rings of my friend who came with me. I'm looking forward to taking my engagement ring there in the next few weeks to have a matching wedding band made to go with it.
