Six WEEKS ago, I purchased eyeglasses from this company and have yet to receive a pair that works. I had previously posted a glowing review because they had given me a discount rather than see me walk out the door, but the quality of the sales staff is POINTLESS if I never receive the eyeglasses! The first pair that arrived a couple weeks after ordering were not quite right and we had to send them back. The next pair didn't pass their own internal inspection and had to be redone. Right now, I am upset that when I called 3 days ago, I was told by the woman who answered the phone that she was too busy to talk to me but that she would take my number and call me back. She never called me back. So I called AGAIN today and asked to speak to a manager. The young lady told me that the two managers were too busy to talk to me and would call me back. I explained that I had heard that before and didn't want to wait another three days to get a callback. She offered to let me wait on hold until the managers were finished with other customers. I just hung up. Clearly, there are not enough employees to handle the volume and/or some of the employees are terrible when it comes to customer service. Sales people are top notch. The people tasked with getting the glasses to the customer are NOT - with the exception of Mr. McDaniel, who was obviously very professional and knowledgeable and helpful. Today, I finally just went onto the corporate site. There was no phone number, but there was a CHAT function, and I was able to find out in a short time that my sunglasses would be here by the 18th. read more

I downloaded yelp again to give this review. I had an eye exam from another place today since I went to Stanton optical last year so my last years eye exam has been on my mind a lot. If there's anything I could ask of you, it's that you do not go to this place. It is officially looked down upon in terms of health care practices considering how telecom optometrists is not legal. I don't think I'll be fully satisfied until this place goes out of business. What's really concerning to me is that this place also gave me a bad eye prescription. Imagine implications this could've brought - this company could actually fuck up your vision if you're not careful. Unprofessional staff, terrible business practices. I had to wait over a month for my full order of contacts since they couldn't be organized and order my contacts all at once (I was literally going back every week to hear they failed to put my order in correctly). One more thing to add - I had to leave the eye exam session and enter a new one because they didn't do the one rookie thing, tell me to take off my contacts before the exams. I went in with an open mind but I can honestly say Stanton was a total waste of time and money. Got an "exam" with someone on a screen who wasn't even present. Paid for the 2-pair deal and when I got them (2 weeks later, super slow) the right lens was completely wrong. They offered to re-test for no charge, which I scheduled but had to re-schedule because they kept me waiting so long. After getting a second exam, they said the original prescription was correct, and I just needed to wear the glasses for a while till I "got used" to them. But they were horrible! Useless! So at that point I asked for a refund but they only gave me a partial one because they still had to charge me $59 for the exam. Overall I wasted several hours in that place plus a few weeks waiting for my order, and I still need glasses! Run away from Stanton!!! Honestly, I was super unimpressed with Stanton Optical. I hate leaving a bad review, but they were just not good. The whole process was not efficient and be prepared to be there at least 2 hours. Then they were supposed to contact me when my contacts were ready for pickup, after 3 months I went in and asked about it and they had just simply forgotten to give me a call. Saw the sale on the window 2 pair and a free exam. Well, that is not so cause if you want things like scratch resistant no line bifocals it will cost you extra. You can only choose your frames from two rolls. Once you do that they take you back where the doctor does you exam remotely. WTF Now wait two weeks go back try on your glasses and everything is so blurry you can't even hardly stand. You say something about it and well they are new glasses it will take a while to get use to. Had glasses since I was six not buying into that Take another exam and SURPRISE the first one was the wrong exam. Now they put lens into a pair of glasses still blurry so they try again. YEAH, can see great okay so wait another two weeks go down. Try the new glasses on SURPISE it the same blurry pairs you had the first time. Well, they can fix that. HELL not just give me back my money. Oh you paid cash well we don't have cash on hand. Will send you a check in 7 business day minus the eye exam. So, now wait for the money to come so I can go to a real doctor for an exam. This place should be closed down. Only giving it one star cause it won't let me give it no star read more

Overall, it was a good experience. Attention to detail could have been better upon arrival. The patient coordinator that greeted me scanned over my insurance card and said we don't take that type, we take spectra. Well, spectra is what I have. The PC continued to roll her eyes and stated "okay, I'll check, but we don't take that." Just like I had stated to her, you take my insurance. Maybe the front PC staff was just having a bad day, I understand but attitudes could change. Another aspect I thought was frankly weird was the optometrist over a webcam. The techs that helped during the initial exam and whom helped select frames were very attentive, understanding of my needs, and willing to work with my indecisiveness. I appreciate the convenience of getting my frames the same day and attention to minor cost details in the checkout process. I'll give the front sales staff, exam techs, and selection 5 stars. But the service, training on the devices during the refraction exam and in the front could use some work to make it run smoothly and unchaotic. read more

The promo wasn't what I got because I had insurance. Not very cool but it is what it is. I had to pay what others don't pay...guess that's just the way it goes. But Eric on Louisiana really went of his way and help me and I got my glasses the same day. He was really the only one trying to ensure everyone way assisted in some way or another. I'm giving an honest review. They have TONS of selection on frames and were able to put lenses in some frames that another place told me isn't possible. The staff is really personable and does want to help you. They remember your face, which is always good for a business. However, despite the few gems that work at this place, I can tell this staff in Abq is very new which means you have to expect to wait for them to figure stuff out. And you have to wait. You have to go in there knowing exactly how to do business buying lenses and frames like making sure they take your insurance (they did not take my kind, but they didn't ask me about insurance) and you gotta know what you want so they don't pressure you into making a sale. read more

Not sure why this place has such bad reviews....I had an awesome experience here. I came in at about 1:30 and asked if it was possible to have my glasses the same day and they told me it was no problem at all. (And fit me in for a walk in eye exam) They have a deal that is AMAZING....you get an eye exam and two pairs of glasses for $69. They have a huge selection of frames and for $18 dollars you can get any pair you choose made into sunglasses. I got one pair of normal glasses and one pair of sunnies for $87 and couldn't be happier. This place was awesome and I would highly recommend it. read more

This is the worst experience I've had at any company in a long time. I'm not one to ever write reviews but this is too important to ignore. Avoid this establishment at all costs. They are completely unprofessional and terrible at what they do. I had placed an order for trial contacts March 17th and was told they would take 2 weeks max to get to the store and that I would receive a text notification that they had arrived for me to pick up. It is now April 24th and I have not heard anything despite my at least 10 phone calls which by the way don't even call the store it calls a call center on the east coast that have no idea what they're doing. Every time I call I am met with "we can't seem to find where your contacts are but we'll call you in the next 24-48hrs to let you know where they are." And I wait and it's radio silence for the days following until I call back again and explain what's happening. After my 7th time calling I requested to speak to a supervisor of some kind and was told there wasn't one until the end of the phone call when I asked again and she said "well, we do have one but are you sure you wanna speak with him". It took me about 5 minutes to speak to this man and by the end of the call he said he would call me back that day with the information I needed but I still have never heard back from him or anyone which was a week ago exactly. I have been met with nothing but robot-like answers that don't do me any good. They are never able to reach the stores actual location on Louisiana Blvd due to "high customer volume" no matter what time of day or the many days I've called or they've called. Extremely unprofessional. Today I thought I would give them one last chance to see if they could figure out where my stuff is. A man answered and said the exact same thing "we can't seem to find out where they are now but we'll give you a call in the next 24-48 hrs" Im so sick of hearing this I just told him to cancel my order. Waste of time. Appointment time was at 11:30. I walked into the EMPTY waiting room 10 minutes before my appointment. After 15 minutes the tech came and did the focus test and the puff test on my eyes and had me go back and sit in the waiting area. She was very nice and friendly. I waited till 11:53 and then just told the girl to cancel my appointment. By this time no one had yet taken my history, patient information or anything. Just the two tests that the tech had performed. At this rate I wouldn't be out of there for another hour at least when the person who booked my appointment told me that the exam would be 15 minutes. read more

I was told my glasses would be done same day but at the end they said it would be the next day. I called them at noon to see if they were ready and they had not started to work on them. They said they would call me when they were ready. I called again at 5:15pm and the woman on the phone went to check on them and they were done. No one called me like I promised. I made an appointment, arrived early and 2 employees chatted away having a personal conversation. I proceeded to head to the rear and that is when they decided to jump up and stop me. The female then asked me what insurance I had and started to claim that I had to call and verify my benefits. Funny I was there a few months back and didn't have the issue. I instructed the female to call and if they insisted on speaking with me she could place me on speaker. She immediately claimed I couldn't be found in the system. The male employee then claimed they couldn't find me despite telling them when I was there he proceeded to look up my daughter. I decided to leave. What a joke this place is? My eye exam was a good experience. I then proceeded to select my glasses. I have wearing glasses since I was five years old. I need my glasses! I was informed my glasses would be ready in two weeks. I dropped by shortly after the two weeks. I tracked my order too, but I went to the optical. They assured me they would arrive by Monday so I dropped by on Tuesday. They were not in the optical . Tracking stated in transit. Two months later no glasses. Customer service is terrible. Call the optical and it transfers to the corporate. They can't or won't give you results. I was offered to reorder and get half off. After sixty days I requested a refund. Terrible experience! read more

Order new safety glasses. They said two weeks. Got them but the Dr put my reading glass script in them instead of my vision lens. They said they would send them back and it would be rushed. A week and a half later and they say it'll be a few more days. I don't call that a rush order to get back. Wouldn't recommend this place at this point. Terrific experience with Stanton Optical. Received great customer service when I initially had my eye exam and picked out frames with Erik Gonzalez. He gave me a great deal. When I picked up the frames (which were ready 5 days early) we hit a bit of a snag. Jonathan however was great. Helping me pick out new frames when the old ones I wanted to use didn't work out. I am traveling from Las Cruces, spending the weekend in Albuquerque and with my luck, my left contact lense went right down the drain. I called Stanton to see if I could get a "test" pair of contacts to get me through the weekend. They did me one better. I not only got a free contact exam and a test pair of contacts, they went well out of their way and gave me a FANTASTIC deal on a new set of Guess frames. Stanton advertises aggressive pricing, but if you need bifocals or Hi-index , or you want regularly normal stuff like UV protection or scratch resistance the price rapid fly rises. Also, "second pair free" really means " you must buy two pairs". When they quoted me about $400 I left. read more

Optometrist that work there are great. The sales team is awful. I bought a set of lenses for my Oakley half jacket frames and the sales associate didn't bother to tell me that the lenses would not work with them, and I am still waiting on my regular glasses which they told me first would take 14 days. Then I was told 14 business days today is business day 14 and they have not received the lenses for those yet. I called LensCrafters to ask their time frame to get the same lenses, they told me 10 -12 days total. read more

It has been well over a month since my Initial appointment. I still do not have glasses or contacts. They made a mistake writing down my prescription and seem to be unable to resolve the issue. I have made numerous calls to the store, with no avail. When I did finally talk to someone the basically said it was my fault for having a difficult prescription. If I could give this group zero stars, I would. I had an appointment for a Saturday morning at 9:10am. The day before, I received a voicemail saying the appointment had been changed to 10:30am. I called to confirm and explained that my appointment was for 9:10am and was told, rather rudely by the young man on the other end of the phone, that they "never" booked appointments at 9:10am. The next morning I awoke and was getting ready for the 10:30 appointment when I received and email saying my 9:10am appointment had been cancelled because I didn't show up. I called Stanton's central scheduling telephone and was rescheduled for 9:50. I hurriedly got ready and drove to the appointment. When I arrived there was a sign on the door stating "No appointments today...computer outage." I went in to confirm with the staff and when I asked the snotty young man behind the counter if the sign was correct he said "Did you read the sign?" Who says that to a customer? I tried to explain the situation but he called another snotty employee from the back who was equally nasty. As I turned to leave, the young man said "Do you want me to rebook your appointment?" Disappointed doesn't even begin to sum up the experience I've had with this place! 3 weeks ago ordered 3 pair of glasses, 1 pair being sunglasses.sunglasses weren't done when the 2 other pair were, no big deal. Went back 3 days later, and there was no prescription in the lenses. Supposed to be fixed the next day by 5pm, have them until that following weekend, there's now a prescription on the lenses and this time the lenses aren't even tinted. Complained and was told they would be shipped to me, yet again, another week has passed and this time they weren't even shipped. I do not recommend this place! Even if I had no other options, I'd deal without glasses before I'd go back here. If I could leave ZERO stars, I would. Went in yet again giving the benefit of the doubt to have the nose piece replaced on a pair of glasses. Waited 25 minutes, wasn't even acknowledged! Neither were the 3 other customers waiting with me. Left and called from the parking lot. Was told to go back in. Finally got my glasses fixed, which took about 2 minutes. Got a copy of my prescription and I will be going back to lensecrafters. You get what you pay for, and this definitely shows with this place. read more

I already waited 45 mins to get my eyes check! He told me with a manner that I was annoying and demanding! Horrible customer service!!! I came here for an exam for contacts and all went okay except a couple of months later when I went to order new contacts. They claimed they lost my file and said that if I wanted a valid prescription I'd have to pay again and come in again. After an hour on the phone being transferred to four different people and threatening to sue them for fraud they said they'd see me again at no cost. I came in that very day and they all acted like they'd never even heard of me and again said they had a record of me paying for the previous exam but the staff never recorded the prescription in my file. AGAIN tried to get me to pay for a whole new exam!!! I made a big scene which was embarrassing but I was so mad. They FINALLY saw me three hours later in which I had to sit in their disgusting waiting room with stained seats and a sticky floor, and the bathroom in that place probably hasn't been cleaned in a month. Then I finally got the prescription I was owed. I then had to get to work, so I called the next day to order the contacts and they kept putting me on hold ...5 or 6 times and then just disconnected me each time after I waited 5 or 10 minutes. Finally drove over and got a hard copy of my prescription and called 1800contacts. Worst experience of my entire life! read more

My initial visit left me frustrated but once I brought the issue to the attention of the management, it was readily and professionally resolved leaving me beyond satisfied with my second visit. Do yourself a favor and just walk away. I stopped in to have a silicon nose pad replaced on a pair of glasses (purchased elsewhere) because I was in the neighborhood and it was convenient. The girl at the front desk greeted me warmly by asking if I was there for a free eye exam, but her demeanor became much less pleasant when I told her why I was there. She directed me across the room to sign in but it wasn't really clear where the sign in sheet was. After wandering around the area she pointed me to, I finally found the sign in sheet. I sat there for about 10 minutes while being completely ignored as the girl strutted around speaking with all of the other customers in the waiting area thinking to myself, "Wow, a high school graduate in a lab coat...how impressive." Realizing that only being there for the free eye exam (and a subsequent eyeglasses purchase) was going to motivate someone to acknowledge me, I decided my best move was to leave and take my business elsewhere. A quick stop across the street at another optical shop made me thankful for just walking away before the dumb girl in the lab coat finally found time to help me. read more

we ordered two pairs of glassed for me and my husband on May 8,2021 after calling calling I finally went and asked about mine on May 26, 2021 and was told they were ready to pick up so without ever being notified I finally got mine on the 26. They said my husbands would be ready on the 29 called called and called and no answer if they answer they don't know anything now they say they will be ready on June 5 but don't know anything else still have not talked to any one one the phone at that Louisiana location. If you stay on the line waiting for them to get information they just hang up on you. Mind you these glasses were paid for at the time of ordering in full. The guy Rodney that waited on us was great but the phone service and customer service of this place sucks. They are horrible. read more
