Had an eye exam appointment. The technician was very polite and efficient. But I hoped she wiped all equipment. I know the tablets they have you fill out was NOT cleaned for the next person to use. The eye doctor seemed like a flake. I said I had RK surgery. Didn't even say if the scars are good or not. I really felt like he doesn't care. No personality. Then I was told to look for frames. People was trying on frames. Then putting back. NOT being cleaned. Took 2 hours to get a technician to help. Then I was told my insurance would not pay for glasses. Waited forever to be seen, and then HOW AWKWARD to not see an actual doctor in person but someone on a screen to do your eye exam. This location does not deserve a single star, it makes absolute sense why it has a star and a half rating. I would like to say that I never make reviews but this one is too hard to pass. Yesterday I had a scheduled appointment, due to state fair the traffic on freeway from the Louisiana exit was packed. My scheduled appointment was at 1:45 I ended up walking in at 1:55. My mistake was telling the teenager they have working the front that I was late, he proceeded to tell me I could not be seen and they would reschedule at another time. Let me mention I told him today was my only day available so I guess I'll reschedule for a later time today as they close at 6pm. He said "no that's not how we do it". I said okay outside in your window you have a giant sign that says "walk ins welcome" can I just schedule a walk in. He very rudely just says no but I can reschedule you, so I leave. I hop in the car and call the location with the highest reviews which is central and attrisco. They were able to schedule me 30 minutes later, I drove all the way across town and I AM GLAD I DID. The man working the front was actually grown and not just some high school kid they have working the front. If he's older then that then he should act like it, that boy lacks communication skills and doesn't deserve to be helping people with there vision. Station optical Louisiana, this isn't my only run in with you. 2 years ago I was over charged to the max!!! I was also told nothing could be done about my glasses being so thick and even got a rude comment from the eye doctor himself about how horrible my vision was and how it just continues to get worse. Uh duhh, that's something anyone with common sense would know. This gave me anxiety and made me very hesitant and nervous about my visit. Luckily the folks working at atrisco location made me feel so much better about everything. The lady that took pictures of my eyes made me feel good and told me it's okay and not to be embarrassed. She told me she's had so many people with worse vision then what I have. That made me feel calmer. Moral of the story Louisiana staton optical you will NEVER EVER EVER Be getting my business and I hope that kid with nasty over greased "gel" on his head learns how to act right for the other guests. I just flew in from San Francisco where I broke my glasses and needed a replacement ASAP, so I came in even after reading all the terrible reviews. The amazing Rodney (from Eyeglass World) is the new manager!! It's his first week here. Any place that advertises unbelievably cheap deals, is going to have a limited selection at that price point so come in knowing that. I was greeted professionally by lead tech Renee, seen for my tele-eye-exam within 10 minutes of walking in. I got my prescription within 3 minutes after the exam. Got fitted for new glasses (clear pair & sunglasses) as soon as I picked the frames. Everyone who assisted me was friendly, and helpful. Although newer employees are still getting their on the job experience, as we all have needed to at some point, they were quick to get the answers I needed. Sydney went out of her way to give me as close to the "value deal" I came in for even though I picked frames outside of the "value deal" price point. Leaving with 2 great pairs of glasses. I'm a happy, satisfied customer. Ask lots of questions and be savvy and get a great deal here too! read more

Horrible place. Complete fraud. They charge for an optometry exam you you never once see an optometrist. The person who conducts the "exam" virtually doesn't answer your questions. Exam was very poor. Then they tried to give me a prescription which I had almost 10yrs ago. No way my eyes have improved and become 10yrs younger. Especially with mu current health condition. Staff are aloof and completely unhelpful. Calling the 800 number to file a complaint is a joke. They keep passing you around from person to person. Awful. Horrible. Do NOT recommend at all! If I could give it 0 stars I could. 2 hr drive to pick up glasses- doors locked claiming "internet down" Called the next day- was assured twice they really were open. Nope. 8 people outside w similar stories- some all the way from Farmington. People with appointments showing up who were uninformed their appointments were cancelled- they were not called- surly teenage staff snapping their gum in your face with not so much as an apology. People who were waiting had come three times only to find doors locked from far away. Glasses were already paid for- just sitting there- nope can't get them though. I showed a receipt w paid in full w the text saying they were ready for pickup- that's not good enough. The "Optometrist" there is a face on a screen who seemed suspiciously like a robot- my prescription was signed by a man, but she was a woman. Others outside had broken glasses, or had been given the wrong script 2 times. These guys are criminals and they do not care about you or your glasses. False advertising- $79 for two pairs including exam- everyone gets to the end and suddenly it's all $300 or more. SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND HASSLE AND GO ELSEWHERE! Have had to come here 4-5 times unfortunately. It is stress city- expect to wait at least 4x as long as you are told you will be there. Huge disorganization issues, they often forget about customers because everyone is so stressed, perhaps 4 staff members who truly care and do their jobs, and everyone else is just dragging their feet and talking abt partying over the weekend. Had to go back (again and again) bc stuff was lost or missing, after waiting 3+ hrs sometimes. Recently there were two "managers" welcoming people at the door, but the one who took care of a glitch that was their fault in my glasses was like "what did you do to them?" Really dude? There is no way that I could have done that. Then he still charged me to repair them. Said it would take 20 min but it actually took 3.5 hrs AFTER ChARGInG me YET AGAIN for their mistake. Seems cheap until all the time and the extra fees and bs customer service start to add up. If it means you need counseling afterwards it's probably not worth the seemingly low cost? Lots of disgruntled people (all pissed, all dealing with the same bs) stress me out, so I recommend if you have to go here to bring headphones or something that calms you. It sucks to be treated like shit just bc you can't afford better care. The optometrist (who it took me 3 visits to see in the first place bc of longest wait times, often 2+ hrs with no service), was one of the only kind and compassionate people working here. The female manager with glasses and ponytail nice, tall black guy with dreads nice, and that's about the end of the list. Like I said, welcome to the class divide in Maerica with our passion for cheap bullshit. Hope these workers at least get commission or some incentive/High pay for the stress they must be dealing with, but by the glossed over look in many of their faces tells me it's not worth it for them either. Is it possible to give negative stars? No? Zero stars? No? Darn!! I made a 12:15 appointment for my granddaughter on a day that they opened at noon. I don't know how it was possible for EIGHT people to have appointments ahead of her, but she wasn't actually seen until 2:45. We weren't told the appointments would be via telehealth, but they are. We found out after we were already there. They were supposed to mail the glasses to us, yet it took numerous calls to make that actually happen. When we finally got the glasses, it was obvious that the prescription was wrong. Finally, the glasses broken after less than a week. When I finally spoke with Melanie at the local store, I told her everything and that I wanted a full refund. She put me on hold. When she came back, she said she talked with her manager and he said he would grant that refund. I drove to the store to return the glasses and get my refund and actually met with the manager who had authorized said refund. When he brought back the credit slip, he said he couldn't refund the amount for the eye exam, because it was for services rendered. So, apparently, even if the service is substandard and inadequate, it is a service rendered. Thank goodness there is an opportunity to file a complain with the licensing board. (On a positive note, I would highly recommend Cedar Crest Vision and really appreciate them getting the prescription right and being competent. It's kind of refreshing!) read more

No one greeted me nor attempted to assist me. Finally at 6:40 pm a staff member came from the back and i advised her i have an appt she directed me to another room and then after waiting 10 more mins she came back and stated we will have to reschedule you. If I had seen the negative reviews, probably would not have attempted, but I went to Albuquerque store on Louisiana, was greeted by a nice young salesman who seemed to know his business, and asked me to choose a frame, and would then be happy to help me. It took me awhile to find two frames, and by then the store was very busy, I made an appointment for a exam the next morning, I gave the frames to the salesman, stating I would be back first thing in the morning, he took down my name, said they would be waiting, and added he would not be working then. I returned the next morning, to be greeted by STORE MANAGER sanchez, I told him I had some frames waiting and would like to price the accessories (Transition & Progressive) before the eye exam, now my sight is nothing special and have gotten the cheapest lenses always for the past 47 years, sanchez could not figure any thing out with out knowing the prescription, and flew off the handle right away, I hope a tape could be reviewed as his attitude was offensive and aggressive, needless to say I would not shop there as long as sanchez is working there - and he banned me for life anyway! I wish I could rate the optometrist and the sales team separately. I went in on 8/30/2017 and the optometrist was great (20.00 charge for my eye exam). He was an older gentleman and he was super attentive towards me. However, my nightmare began once I encountered the sales team. I felt pressured into buying some glasses from them, they weren't ugly but they weren't really what I had wanted. But I still ordered them. Once I felt Stanton, I went to another optical establishment and found these beautiful glasses that I had wanted for months. Therefore, I decided to cancel my order at Stanton and pay the additional 100.00 for my eye exam, I had called on the 31st early in the morning and spoke with a manager named Rachel and I explained to her that I wanted to cancel my order and that I would be willing to pay for the complete eye exam. The manager then stated that she was unable to cancel my order because they had already made my lenses. Mind you that they had to order them and I was going to receive them until 9/19/2017. This did not make sense and I asked how can she make lenses for an order of glasses that she does not have stock at the store. Also, the companies policy states that within 24 hrs you can cancel your order. Nonetheless, she refused to cancel my order and informed me that she would have her GM Micheal call me back in the morning but days had passed and no one called. ( I have her my information) A few days later, I had called corporate and I was informed that my lenses haven't been made ( this what their system was showing). I spoke to a customer representative and she informed me that would contact the GM at the location in ABQ. Since their policies do state that you are able to cancel your order within 24hrs. But I hadn't heard back from them despite her telling me she would call me back. I called then on the 20th and I spoke with a new customer representative that my glasses were ready although I had requested them to be cancelled. He also stated that they had no notes of the previous call I had made to corporate. I then spoke to a manager and she informed me that she would investigate and see what happened as I should have been able to cancel my order (company policies). I emailed her the phone call logs to show where I had spoken with management at Stanton - ABQ. I was informed that I would have to speak with Racheal or Micheal and that they would help me out with a refund. I decided to go into the office and I asked to speak to Micheal or Rachel but neither of them was at the store at the time that I had gone in. Discouraged, I picked up the glasses that I had previously order and left the establishment. I have never dealt with such a horrible experience with customer service as I did with this company. The lack of accountability and transparency that this location has is baffling. Endless to say that I will NEVER return to this establishment. Literally the worst experience one could ever have at an optometrist. The doctors and salespeople are below average, they are obviously under-staffed and under-trained. The deals on glasses are not what are advertised, and in the end you pay more than twice what you were told you'd be paying. I will not be a return customer. UPDATE (8/2017): I have called twice in the past two weeks trying to get a copy of my prescription in order to buy glasses elsewhere. I should rate lower but I'm conflicted. I will start off by saying we ended up leaving after the exams, I told them I would not pay and for them to not bill my insurance. I hope this holds true and I don't end up getting a bill in the mail, hence the reason I gave 3 stars at this time. See details at the end of post :-/ It was busy, staff wasn't super attentive or bubbly they were not rude and it wasn't a negative experience, I would rate them at a 4. My daughter was scheduled at 3:15 and seen for the pre exam around 3:25ish, the wait time was fine especially for how many people there were ahead of us. No problem with the pre exam, basic stuff... then back to the waiting room (which is big, bare, smelled weird and the floor shook a lot when people walked around.) waited a short while before getting to the exam room. Still no issue for me on wait time.... I would rate the entire wait as a 5, not far outside typical doctor waits. Here's the problem.... We get to the room my daughter is instructed to sit in the chair and I'm in the corner under the exams area where she is facing. The lady who led us in said something along the lines of "it will be conducted there" pointed to the wall and left. I didn't really think anything assuming the doctor would be in. I then hear someone with an extremely thick accent come on through speakers. I then notice she is on the TV above my head. I'm still not sure what is happening, turns out that was who was conducting my daughters exam!!! I'm trying to be positive but I'm not ok with a Skype eye exam, especially since my daughter has had a lot of vision issues, astigmatism, bifocals numerous perception changes over the past 6 years. She's only 13 and I want to ensure her vision needs are met properly!! The actual exam was very short, shorter than the pre exam and the wait time between the pre exam and the actual exam. I waited to see if a human doctor would show up. That never happened. When the assistant showed back up I informed her I would not pay for that visit and I do not authorize them to bill my insurance. I explained my reasoning 1. I was NEVER informed I would be an online visit 2. With my daughters constant changing eyes I want her to see a human. I never even bothered to ask if the Skype woman was a real doctor or not. She asked if I informed the call center rep I wanted a real when making the appointment, I told her I had no idea they did Skype exams so no, I didn't. If it were for me, I probably wouldn't mind... I've never had vision issues and it seemed ok. BUT I would want to be informed or given the option, I would also expect it to be cheaper or offered a perk for not seeing a doctor in person! I feel hoodwinked and irritated. There were 2 human doctors in the building So overall experience staff 4 stars Wait time 5stars Exam experience 1star Truthfulness of the company 1star I browsed at the frames while waiting and they seemed very high in price. Granted I checked a few frames in each section and didn't go too deep into all pricing but the cheapest frames I saw were $139. They seemed very expensive but maybe there was a cheaper section that I missed. I try and make it a point to not read too many reviews because I know people can be fickle and I like to form my own unbiased opinions....... but after seeing others had the same experience, I might rethink my stance on checking reviews first. We scheduled an appointment online after my husbands last contact disappeared. The appointment was for 1:15pm. The check-in process was like a first-come, first-serve situation and his appointment time seemed to not matter. By 2:20pm, they finally called him back for a pre-test for his vision. 3pm came and went and he was told that the doctor would see him in thirty minutes probably or we could reschedule for tomorrow (where I can only assume we would be waiting several hours yet again). I was told by some of the techs who were standing around that there was only one doctor today. So this begs the question, if you knew only one doctor would be working today, why allow such a heavy patient load? The price is good but the service and wait time is deplorable. A disgraceful and unethical company. Basically this is a company peddling cheap frames. I did not purchase any frames or lenses but received a very incomplete eye examination. The exam is performed by "tele-Medicine" which utilized a poor internet connection resulting in very poor assessment. You never see a provider and given the unethical behavior of this company I would doubt there is a provider "on-site." Multiple issues were subsequently discovered after I went for a second opinion a few weeks later at a reputable business. I went for the second opinion because I felt so uncomfortable with the assessment from this company. I did contact the company and requested a refund which they did grant me but when I went in they said the "system was down" and she would not be able to process the refund. She asked me to come back the following day. I requested a cash refund and she declined. I politely refused to leave and stated I would just wait until the system was back online..... miraculously the system went back on line within 30 seconds and I received my refund. In addition, the prescription given to me was actually the wrong prescription. I would have significant reservations about obtaining care from this location. Predators of this kind do not belong in healthcare. Response to customer service reply: I would first note that your response is a "copied and pasted" reply which you used for other customers, again just demonstrating how you treat customers. There is no need to contact your customer service as it is clear that your company is not about providing any standard of medical eye care but to quickly turn around patients in order to peddle overpriced, falsely marketed frames. I question how you and your staff can openly deceive patients who place trust in your company. Instead of replying to all the negative reviews I would spend the time looking in the mirror and questioning how you can act with such a lack of morals and human decency.I read more

Walked in at 9:30 on a Monday morning. No appointment. Was promptly seen by the Doctor on duty, and the exam was completed by 10:15. Plenty of frames to choose from. I opted for the 'special' of $59.95 for 2 pairs of reading glasses. I was never pressured to spend more, or made to feel like I didn't matter. One star is too many for this so-called business. I'd bet that getting glasses in prison is quicker and more pleasant. There are no $69 glasses here. The glasses you get for three times that are not of a reasonable quality. Everyone I know who's been here has had to have them remade. The customer service is hurried at best and high-pressure at worst. Everything feels slapdash. In short: spend a little more and get one real pair of glasses somewhere else. This feels like a scam. EDIT: The company's response here points out that perhaps I should make it clear that I am stuck with two pairs of glasses (well, I will be if I ever get the second pair that had to be remade) that I don't want. As with others here, I discovered that the company aggressively refuses to consider refunds. Once you've made the mistake of parting with money, you will be stuck. I went through the entire process, unfortunately. And the quality of the glasses is only one of the numerous failures here. *Updated information at the bottom. The only positive thing I can say is that everyone I've spoken with there is super nice and I'd like to be friends with them. I called ahead and said I just needed an exam, no glasses, and they told me it'd cost $45 (+tax). When I finished my exam and went to leave, they told me if I didn't buy glasses the exam would cost $98. After arguing, a manager said I could have any pair I liked for $25, and still only pay the $45 for the exam. Fine. I found some frames that were acceptable and was rung up for $35. Still cheaper than the full-price exam, but that's the second broken promise. Glasses came in a few days later and the prescription was wrong, everything was warped and I got a headache within a few minutes of putting them on. They checked the prescription and told me it was right, try them out for a week. Went back today and they said one of the lenses was "way too strong" and sent them into the lab to fix. They came back and I still can't wear them, everything is warped and wrong and I'm not even going to bother going back and wasting any more of my time. I don't even trust that the prescription I got was accurate to get glasses from somewhere else. This place is a pure scam with wonderful people working there and I hope all of them find somewhere better. *Update 4/25/17: Customer service and the store manager did get in touch with me after writing this review. They told me that the glasses exam should only cost $45, so the people at the store that told me it would cost more if I didn't buy glasses there were simply lying to me. I got glasses from another store using the prescription from Stanton, and it turns out the prescription was incorrect. I went back in and got re-tested, had to listen to the optometrist tell me that I just had to "get used to" the new lenses and act like I was wasting his time by coming back in, but then the prescription I got at the end of the visit was completely different from the original prescription I got. Positive outcome: Stanton replaced the lenses they had made for me as well as the lenses I got from the other store for free, and now I have glasses I can wear. Unfortunately, this whole process took the better part of 2 months and more headaches (both literal and figurative) than I would have liked. Please don't go there. I ordered glasses from Stanton about 8 months ago. I had such a hard time with the bi-focal and so resorted back to my old glasses about 1 month after getting the glasses. I called but was put on hold for extensive time, customer service is not the best. I started wearing these glasses once again about 3 months ago, but was always having a hard time and still lifting the glasses up to read. Last month I stopped in and had them check the refraction, I was told the readers were so low they probably weren't even on the glasses! Who prepares the prescriptions and conducts the work?! This is unacceptable! Weeks later I finally got notice my new lens are in, I just hope the prescription is correct. This was my first time getting glasses at Stanton Optical and will be my last. Can't give a zero? I booked online and loved the ease that offered after moving to a new town. The moment I walked into the place I knew I made a mistake. I showed up 15 minutes early for my appointment to sign in and give insurance information. Signed in and there were two names ahead of mine (not bad, right?). Wrong. After waiting almost 40 minutes after my appointment time, they had called one of the names. I figured I would play on the internet while I waiting and looked this place up on yelp. Then I left. The lady with bangs was nice, but everyone seemed so irritated, stressed and angry. Embrace the suck. After 2 months of screwing up my glasses and countless hours on the phone with corporate morons, I finally walked away with 1/2 a refund. No glasses. This organization sucks. My mom got her glasses from here and it's the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE possible. They have no idea what 20-30 minutes means 2 hours later!!!! They have no idea what they were doing. Wow, what a joke. I made a 1:00pm appointment and was greeted unenthusiasticly by an unsmiling, curt girl who kept wiping her nose on the collar of her hoodie, taking the corner of the zipper portion and sticking it in her nose. Sanitary, especially considering her desk had two boxes of Kleenex sitting on it. Staff in phony white coats sitting on the floor going through prescriptions, talking amongst themselves about patients (mentioning dates of births, names and what their issues were - hello HIPPA laws..). I didn't see a room until 1:25 where a decent guy made me go through a set of machines. Back into the waiting room. While there, I overheard a doctor talking to a patient by Skype. There are no doctors in house. At 1:40, I was still waiting for my turn at not getting examine by anything but pictures. Meanwhile, the counter girl kept going into rooms and ignoring the people waiting. I left. They need to put in their commercials that there are no doctors on-site, and I'll be reporting this because it's fraud. No one would go if they knew that. A real eye doctor doesn't cost that much. I value my eyes enough that I'm not going to a Skype doctor to examine them. Run away! read more

Horrible customer service. Don't bother making an appointment. Been sitting here over an hour and still have yet to be called back for my scheduled eye exam appointment. When asked about the delay I was told it's common for people to have to wait this long; they don't guarantee you'll be seen at your scheduled appointment time. read more

This place has the absolute worst customer service in all of Farmington! Had a 10:15 am appointment. Got there early in case I had to fill out paperwork. When I walked into the building and up to the front desk I waited 5 minutes before I was approached and was asked what I was there for. When I replied I was here for an exam I was told that I needed to go to the back. I knew that I was in for trouble when I I went back there and the place was packed! The up front gal was less than nice and not once greeted me or looked me in the eye. Went thru the basic testing but when I was brought down to the last machine to take pictures of my eyes she was having a difficult time taking pictures of my left eye. She never asked if I had any preexisting conditions but I finally I formed her that I was partially blind in that eye. She rolled her eyes and informed me that pictures could not be taken. She told me to go sit back down...no explanation no time was given on my wait time. After sitting there for an hour I left. I will never go back. This place is just terrible. read more
