Ordered 3/16/2026. Received the first order 3/31/2026. The bifocal was so high up that it interfered with distance. Re-ordered and did not come in until mid April. Wrong again, same as first order. Another tech told me there was an 'executive' bifocal that the original tech did not even know about. Don't need a high dot for a bifocal. Went in before glasses came in because of the 30-day refund limits. Requested refund and was given another 'receipt' NOT a 'refund', yet representative said that showed a refund. I did not argue...no point. Contacted my CC holder and was given credit, then a few days later glasses came in and were wrong again. They attempted to assure me, what a joke. Then, tech admitted he measured twice incorrectly. Another tech did the measurements, however he was also incorrect or made incorrect as the line did not go all the way across bottom of lens and was still too high up interfering with distance. I final received a true refund at that point and time. I did then order only distance lens just because I needed for license renewal. Finally was able to pick those up 5/2/2026. So the whole process was not handled correctly and NOT in a timely manner. Hard lesson to learn. read more

Lies and bait and switch! To get the same day service after you do the whole exam unless you upgrade to their other product that the only one available for your particular prescription only I found it odd that both my daughter and myself were both in that same category, even though we have different prescriptions you have to upgrade plus the referral program is a lie. It's a flat out. Lie didn't get anything they promised in writing when questioned about it they said it didn't apply to the special when it clearly stated in writing in their advertisement for the referral that the referral does not apply to contact lens prescription. This wasn't a contact lens prescription and they didn't honor their referral. They lied. They actually advertised that you get money off of yours and that your referral gets a free pair of sunglasses. They're just cheap and they lied. And as far as they're advertised special same-day glasses, you're not gonna get same-day glasses unless you upgrade to the only thing they have available in "your prescription." read more

I discussed purchasing 2 pairs of glasses with Perla went through the whole process thinking I was getting 2 Pairs. A month goes by and I hear nothing so I called and tried the automated system. My phone number has no order associated with it. I call back and spoke to a live person they said oh yeah they are ready I know it I've touched them. Go into pick up and there's only 1 pair. They person said here's a copy of the receipt you received. I never looked at the receipt because we were talking about 2 pair the whole time. Be careful with your wallet here. I came in for the $135 promo I saw online, but they initially tried to charge me $431 for a single pair using my insurance. It felt like a sketchy attempt to get more money out of me rather than offering the best deal. I almost walked out after being told the exam alone was $79, but eventually, we "settled" on the $135 deal for two pairs (which didn't even use my insurance). I saved nearly $300 by ignoring my benefits. They need to be much more transparent about their pricing versus their promos. read more

The experience was awesome! I walked in to get my glasses repaired and found out I was overdue for my yearly exam. I was able to make an appointment for the very next day and the exam and eyeglass selection was quick and very very affordable. They have late hours doing the week and they are open on Sundays. We came in with an appointment. This is my second time at this particular Stanton. I enjoy being here because I'm less likely to have to deal with the scent of marijuana here. The in-store staff is great. Sorry that I only remember Dr. Ellis, Jennifer, and Armando's names right now, but all three were polite, patient, welcoming, and engaged. Sorry, I've forgotten the main tech who did the exam's name. That's my fault. Although I didn't expect to be there nearly two hours, I'd rather they, including the optometrist, get everything right than not. The only problem my nephew had was that he didn't like any of the frames in the $90 selection. He found a pair in the $120 set, but I was surprised when we didn't get two frames. Instead, she explained that she took half off instead of the second pair. With anti-glare, the glasses came out to $227. To me, that's a lot for one pair. To think, had she not taken something off for the other pair, that would have been nearly $300! Nevertheless, if I have to get more glasses or a prescription filled, I will return to this location. Horrible. The remote eye exam was incorrect. Forget getting the 'sale' or even the prices posted on the frames, because when you get to the register, the eye exam charge, and frames are the only charges you will recognize. Then they add extensive charges, and say you need certain 'types' of lenses when you do NOT. Frames came in bent and broken, with lenses cracked, and a wrong lens prescription 3X times. I returned each time to find that the prescription was sooo far off. You have 1 job, Stanton...maybe you should sell refrigerators, because you are not capable of eye exams and prescription glasses. read more

The company kept blocking my reviews but please be aware of the person you will deal with at this place down at the Palm Springs location. I accompanied my daughter there on the day of her exam, for the most part the lady in the back was absolutely nice. While my daughter was doing her eye exam, the two guys there the one tall guy with the dreads and the short stocky guy were so dismissive and rude. My daughter asked me to let it go and leave it alone so 1 did. However, I went with her when she picked up her glasses and sure enough that stocky guy who I later found out is one of the store managers Mustafa (maybe a fake name) but he was absolutely rude and ridiculous and clearly, it's his personality. He was arguing with a customer about giving them a refund after he sold her glasses she couldn't see out of, gave her a frame she said she never selected. He told her he will have it fully refunded, and when she left, he turned to the other guy and started disrespecting her and calling her out of her name, they both laughed about it as if she was a complete joke and the customers in the store were totally invisible. If my daughter was not going away to school and needed her glasses, we would've absolutely returned them for her money back. I have been to this store on plenty occasions before with my entire family and the staff that were there before these new people were absolutely nice. This was the worst experience I have ever had trying to get new glasses. My original appointment was canceled and rescheduled with no communication with me after I was only 10 minutes from the store. No phone call - just a text. Then I show up to my rescheduled appointment and wait an hour for my exam while the store manager speaks very condescendingly to me (calling me "dear" and telling me she knows my style). I also witnessed her being very rude to an elderly couple who came in and completely ignored a hispanic family that entered the store. I finally get my exam done and after choosing two pairs of frames that I don't even really love (but it was all they had) I waited another hour to get that order put together and check out. $600 and more than 2 hours of my life that I will never get back later, I am already dreading the pickup appointment for my glasses. I got to my appointment on time. The girl working had me sit in a pre-test area. Then she walked me into the examining room. I was shocked whena big video screen had a "doctor" that would be doing my eye exam. So no real doctor on site, and on the screen was a woman with a very thick accent, and I could not understand what she was saying to me. Strangest experience I've ever had and an eye exam. Did my eyes get worse? did they stay the same? Who knows because soon as the exam was done maybe eight minutes long she says OK goodbye and she clicks off. Was not expecting any of this and I will not be back so just beware when you go to get your eye exam you will not be seeing a doctor. Let me just add. I did have to sit in front of a machine in the pre-test area, where supposedly pictures were being taken of the inside of my eyes. No one told me if they saw anything strange in there or my eyes looked good, no nothing. I'm thinking it just made a clicking noise, but no pictures were being taken lol. I can pretty much bet on that. Because why are they doing that with taking the pictures when there's no official doctor on site, it was all a ridiculous scam I felt. read more

I just wanted updated lenses put in my sunglasses. Simple, right? Nah, Stanton Optical made sure it was an effing nightmare! In the end, I lost my favorite sunglasses in their hands and still do not have serviceable sunglasses! First, they broke my sunglasses (no problem, it happens) and would replace them. About five months later, they said they cannot get them. At their direction, I acquired new sunglasses. The problem was that these sunglasses were inappropriate for corrected lenses. So this "professional", Jessica at Stanton, had lenses put in the sunglasses anyway, which caused me to have headaches and made me feel somewhat sick. I mentioned this but she assured me they were fine. I pushed on with them only because I had another pair of sunglasses with the identical script. I returned and they maintained there was no problem. However, they did allude to the fact that the sunglasses were too wide for the lens and had to set PD (Pupillary distance) to the limit. Obviously, it was beyond the limit, as demonstrated by the empirical fact that I was still feeling unwell using them. More importantly, WTF! They knew from the outset that these glasses were inappropriate! A month when by, then one lens became unseated. Another reason why these glasses were inappropriate for corrected lens! Finally, I return to Stanton Optical and this time, the "professional" Jessica, and to her delight, said, basically, you are SOL, because it is beyond the return period! So, besides the time and money lost, the most galling part is that when they had me wait five months to replace my sunglasses, time was of no importance, but when I finally realized that the glasses were never appropriate for lenses, it was too late! The staff seemed overwhelmed with the amount of customers coming in, I had a 2:00 appointment and didn't get seen til after 3:00. I was told I was their 6th 2:00 appointment and they didn't know why it was scheduled that way. I asked about the BOGO deal that was advertised online and in store and was told "Best I can do is 60%off" 2 pairs were gonna be over $600 but one pair was $328. I was only able to purchase one pair but they print out my prescription which I will take else where for my extra set I had hoped to get there. read more

Price of progressives still a lot more than 2 for 1 deals ....it was nearly 1000 dollars for two pairs....take away is that advertising draws you in but pricing closer to places like Costco......reality there really is not any big discount or deal to be had. That said I believe this shops staff were professional, they got my business because I could not be bothered to go shopping elsewhere,( time is money sutuation).
