I only paid $79.00 for my entire visit. Thats 79, including tax. They also gave me a copy of my prescription before I asked for it. Was put in a dark room where a man in a screen perform an eye examination remotely from some other location. I couldn't hear him very well because he spoke very softly and had a thick accent. i came to Stanton because of a special they were advertising that offered an exam and two pairs of glasses for $79. When I arrived, there was a huge banner across the front of the store promoting this very offer. But when I went to pay, the staff acted like the promo wasn't really a thing and the glasses I needed were $400. I still wanted the $79 offer and that's what I got. Took several days for the glasses to arrive and my disappointment continued. These glasses do not help my vision at all. They are worse than the reading glasses I was hoping to replace. An AWFUL experience. NO one appeared for first five minutes upon entering the store. Once I was finally waited on, (for a scheduled appointment) the employee was very timid, and barely able to describe the ensuing steps in the testing and purchasing process. More to the point, this company engages in bait-and-switch marketing and hard-selling tactics. I spotted this right away, and with such an inexperienced sales associate, had to guide him somewhat to finish the procedure without getting taken to the cleaners. My advice to all is to AVOID Stanton Optical. You'll do better with a family owned and operated optometrist. They may be hard to find nowadays but it will be worth your time to do so. read more

Let me start by saying that the staff was very polite and and tried their best to meet my needs during my visit. However, I went in for both new glasses and also new lenses for my existing frames, as well as an eye exam. My disappointment is mainly focused on the eye exam. The employee doing the initial part of the exam was very friendly and easy to work with, but it was vey obvious from the very beginning of the exam that she did not have much experience. She managed to finish the initial screening part of the exam and then put in a request for a qualified eye doctor to come do the "exam" part of the eye test. I was quite surprised to find out that an actual eye doctor was not on staff full time. After waiting for over 45 minutes for an eye doctor to show up, the person that did the initial screening said she was going to do the exam because it was "taking too long for a doctor" to respond and show up for the eye test. During the actual test, her inexperience was even more obvious. She was very uncertain how to conduct the test and even had to bring the store manager in twice during the test to answer questions on how to proceed. She managed to make it through the entire eye exam and was very nice during the whole process, but I could not help but thinking, "this is my vision we're dealing with here" and having major concerns about the quality and validity of the final results of the exam! In hind sight, I should have insisted on waiting for an actual qualified eye doctor before proceeding with the test, but after waiting for almost an hour for a doctor to show up, I just wanted to get the exam (and visit) completed. As of now, I have not actually received my glasses, and can only hope that my new prescription is correct and I have no problems with my vision once I get my new glasses. This was the first time I used Stanton Optical for my vision needs, and unfortunately, probably my last. Oh, and the pricing was quite shocking as well. My vision insurance covered most of the cost of the new frames and lenses, however, the new lenses that will be put into my EXISTING frames costs $557.00!! Not a typo... for a pair of progressive lenses ONLY (no frames). Needless to say, I won't be going back to Stanton Optical in the future. read more

Although there are some very sweet employees, I feel without an optician on site, you don't get the appropriate care. I didn't feel listened to, and I have been having eye exams for a long time. Once the glasses arrive I will leave another review on if they help. I was given one price for 2 pair, then a second higher one at checkout and I made them take one pair back and it was still over $400....i have been buying glasses every couple years and I have never paid that much outta pocket for one pair. read more

I was able to get an appointment easily and without have to go days or weeks from appointment request to actual appointment - I looked online to make an appointment one night and got it for the very next day with several time slots available. We went to Stanton Optical because of the amazing online deal they offered: eye exam and two pairs of prescription glasses for under $100. The multilingual staff at the Midway Road store in Dallas was most helpful and friendly. Out of the hundreds of frames they have on the wall displays only a small selection (ones with a blue tag) qualify for the under 100 dollar deal. That was not a problem because the bargain frames have the same good construction and sufficient variety to make a good selection. Since the deal is for 2 pairs, we got two different frame styles. It took them about 30 minutes to have the glasses ready. If you want glasses fast and at a very good price, Stanton Optical is the place. read more

This was the first time visiting this place and I would absolutely recommend everyone to visit this location. Morgan was an absolute joy to meet. She was so friendly and you can tell that she enjoys her job. She was very helpful in all aspects. She was not only helping us,but was multitasking making sure everyone there was being taken care if! If I could give this place a 0 in rating, I would. WORST EXPERIENCE of my life. It all started when my family and I went in at our appointment time and it took 4 hours for us to even get in with the doctor. The doctor is virtual and not even physically there... makes sense that ALL our prescriptions came back completely wrong. Not only that but they claimed that ups lost our order for contacts making us wait a whole month for them just to tell us that they're still lost and they don't know where they are. Please go anywhere else besides this place. It's a nightmare that they are even still open. read more

Took 2 pairs of frames in and ordered lenses that came to $500 and some dollars. They text to say they were ready only to get to store and the 2 associates couldn't get lenses in. Proceeded to tell me the manager would put them in the next day. Which was a lie because they were closed. Finally got text and leave with glasses to find they put one old lense in my glasses and one new lense. How do I know because my old lenses were made to get dark in the sun. So I'm walking around with one dark lense and one light one. Now I'm wondering if my other pair even right. Please be careful patronages this establishment. I have to go back to see what will happen now. Extremely frustrated. Please don't be fooled , definitely read the fine print.
