Best experience ever! Every employee was very professional and empathetic towards my needs. Rare find in these days. Everyone worked together as needed. However, try on glasses were left with blue or red lines without having disinfectant on them. Stayed away from those, used my on wipes with those I really wanted to try on. The worst customer service ever! Wish I could give zero stars. I stopped by a Stanton store to order a pair of contacts a week ago (05/29), they were sold out, but the seller offered to order for me. He was pushy, kept trying to add extra items to the basket, also ignored my suggestion to ship the order to my address. I found exactly the same contacts online for half the price, which were delivered to my home two days later. The Stanton order is still not in the store, according to the website, estimated delivery date is 06/12. I've been trying to cancel the order made at Stanton store since day 1. Called customer service 4 times over the past week, every time they come up with some excuses, promise refund within 48 hrs, needless to say, nothing ever happened. CS refused to provide phone number of their supervisor as well. Not to mention, it seems like CS employees are located outside the US, some barely speak English. They also ask personal information multiple times, which I find unnecessary and disturbing. Avoid by all means! It's an absolute nightmare. Don't recommend anyone. This was my first AND last time going to Stanton Optical. First of all, the eye exam and glasses for $79 is very misleading. After taxes and all the "add ons" you will be paying much more than that. Even with VSP that covered my frames, my total bill was $305 ($40 I paid out of pocket). Now let me tell you about my experience. When I walked in there was nobody at the counter. They dont have uniforms so I couldn't tell who worked there and who was a customer so I didn't even know who to ask for help. Finally a guy walked up to me and told me where to go. The eye exams are in the back which means you are forced to walk past all the overpriced glasses, a clear marketing tactic. The lady at the exam desk was helpful but she had airpods in her ear and was dressed like she was about to go to the gym. The wait time is ABSOLUTELY insane. As a walk in I was there for 4 HOURS even though the eye exam took less than 15 minutes. They also have appointments, but they also wait long times. One lady walked up to counter and asked what was the point of making an appointment when you still have to wait as long as the walk ins. A few people got tired of waiting and left. They had employees walking back and forth out of what I assumed was their break room because they were so loud in there and their conversations were um, not all professional. After my exam they told me to wait in the front and someone would call me once my exam got approved. Nobody ever called me. At least 4 employees walked right past me (especially the ones with the white coats on. I may as well had not even existed to them) and didn't even look at me. Finally one lady randomly walked up to me and asked if I been helped. I told her no and when I gave her my name she said I had to take ANOTHER eye exam because they got the first one switched (left and right eye results I guess). So yep, back in the waiting room for another eye exam. Ironically this time the whole process took less than 10 minutes with no wait time (I wonder why). Finally I got to the frame selection and pricing. Let me tell you, I got the BARE MINIMUM lenses with my frames paid for by my VSP and that bill was still $305. the eye glass case they give you is merely a plastic shell that my glasses don't even properly fit it. Between the employees dressed so randomly that I couldn't tell who worked there and who was shopping for glasses, the ridiculously long wait time (literally half a work day waiting), and the price, I'll never go to Stanton Optical again. Visionmart and eyebuydirect are way better. read more

I don't appreciate bait and switch. You go in there thinking you're going to spend $79 or maybe a little bit more because of the minor extras you need and then give a price of just under $1000. When you complain they ask you or what is your budget. What's my budget!! I'm not wheeling and dealing for a car I want you to give me the best price that you have right upfront and not lie about what it's gonna cost and then all of a sudden come down $600 for the same exact thing I was going to get for $1000. I will never recommend or go back to Stanton optical again. If I wanted to spend that kind of money I would get a seeing eye dog. This is the second time they've played that game and I will never do that again. It's cheaper to go to an optician and get your prescription then go to Walmart and get two pair of glasses For $100. I'm through with getting ripped off. It's bad enough we're going to be paying almost $10 for eggs everybody else doesn't have to follow suit and rip us off. read more

Hoping this honest transparent review helps someone who might be considering going to Stanton in Palm Springs! Go! you will not be dissapointed! Walking into Stanton I was a bit skeptical about the same day service but ya'll!?! They really are able to do same day glasses if you are there early enough and I'm sure I speak for many with kids, things happen and this is a game changer! My 13 year old son was the reason I was in need of going to Stanton. His broke while taking off headphones but honestly were overdue to get replaced. My glasses were long overdue as well and broken (I've been managing with tape-literally!) also might i add 4 years overdue to be exact. I was greeted ever so kindly and professionally by Sales Manager Chris and his involvement was there throughout our entire appointment minus when we were going through the exam portion when the wonderfully attentive Lab Technician Hannah was assisting us. She was abundantly patient with my son (he was so full of energy, I think he was excited to get new glasses hehe) She also was able to effortlessly coordinate my son as well as my appointment back to back. (Can I just side note here the wonderful and helpful availability of appointments after 5? I work a steady 7:30am-4:30pm job so having this as an option was such a blessing!). The exam experience was very nice too. You speak to the Eye Physicians virtually and they are just as attentive and if any help is needed the Lab tech is readily available and they have a flawless system in place to advise when help might be needed. In our case, both exams went smoothly. Our amazing Tech Hannah was already looking for frame choices for my son who had specified he really wanted red frames. (I reiterate amazing because she was truly that great with us the whole time and such a great multi-tasker!) The attention to detail here was great on Hannah's part and made picking frames so simple and straightforward. She pinpointed styles that went with his face and he was able to choose his swifly! To top this off they confirmed that his would be ready by the very next morning (It was not same day only because we chose after 7pm but ready within less than 12 hours??? JUST AMAZING!) Our appointment was yesterday at 5pm and today at 9am his glasses were ready for pickup and he was able to make it to school and take a test and me not worry that he coudn't see! This Momma is ever so grateful!! Mine took a bit more time to choose frames due to not being set on a specific style and really just wanted a different look. Hannah gave me so many options based on my face and advising I just didnt want all dark frames and after going back and forth a few times I actually ended up going with one of the first 3 she recommended. The entire staff there is extremely knowledgeable, patient and so thorough with all the information! For someone like me, this made my very first experience here soo memorable and pleasant. I believe that this is definitely due to management establishing this kind of atmosphere (So credits due there also!). I have been to many MANY eyeglass offices since the age of 5 and Im in my mid 30's now! The affordability and guidance I received from the team actually allowed me to be able to get new gasses also when initially my whole purpose in going to Stanton was just for glasses for my son. Both Debbie and Robert are extremely helpful, patient and kind. This store location is insanely busy, so much so that only 2 people cannot, should not be expected to handle such a high volume of customers in a timely manner. Yet, these 2 people made my experience a good experience. My first introduction to the store was a week ago when I went in for an eye exam, new glasses. I waited a longer than I expected to but everyone was so kind and working so hard to meet the expectations of their customers. I'm glad that I was patient and waited. I absolutely appreciated and respected both Debbie and Robert for their hard work and dedication to do their best to meet everyone's needs. In total I purchased 4 pairs of glasses. I would say that that makes me a valued customer and I believe that my concerns should be valued and not discounted. Please properly staff the Mansfield location to keep your customers happy and able to do the many tasks that we cram into our weekends because many if not all of us work full time. read more

starting with the conversation i had with the representative on the phone when i made my appointment he told me what was included with my eye exam and frame and lenes which was one price $134.00 but once i arrived and was told a different price. they told me that certain colors were available but they didnt have anything for that price. they try to up charge you on everything. the price went to $600 plus . i was never able to get what they told me over the phone. what i have is not what i wanted. please be aware if you go make sure they honor the price you were giving prior. read more

this isn't anything against the staff. I'm sure they were just doing their job. They didn't take my insurance so they convinced me that the discount they give me would suffice. Price was a lot more than I paid previously at other eyeglass places I asked to use my old frames and they said it might take 2 to 3 weeks and then when I ordered the glasses they put in that was gonna be two weeks anyways. I asked him if they could discount it anyway and they said they could take $75 off the warranty. I said why was there a warranty charge when I never asked for it and they said they put it on anyways but make sure I want it before charge. I was uncomfortable the whole experience. Parking here is weird. The entrance faces the busy street, not either of the parking lots, and many spaces are designated "reserved" for other uses. I happened to go on a rainy day, so this was especially annoying. Once inside, the store is typical of a Stanton layout. I went to the frames, tried a bunch on, picked out two, then looked around for help (no one had approached us). Since an email promo was what brought me in, I mentioned it to a guy sitting at a computer who was unfamiliar with the President's day ad. I showed him my phone, and after reviewing the email directed me to another employee who could help me. She seemed more knowledgeable and proceeded to explain that I couldn't upgrade my lenses with the promo, but could do another offer to save money and worked to apply the most discounts possible. This was very nice. She also carefully marked my pupil location on both frames and "tuned up" my old glasses I brought with me. (I also already had an up-to-date prescription with me.) My whole Oder was calculated & summarized and she told me when to expect the call that the glasses were in. I walked over to the pay counter with the total ready at the point of sale device. Payment processed and done! The whole thing took about 30 mins max. read more

My appt was at 10:30 I waited literally for nothing.I got my exam done I brought my own glasses to get a quote on how much it would cost the lady that was suppose to help me took my glasses to the back she was supposedly measuring my lenses and I waited about 15 mins just for her to come up to me and tell me it's $369 she didn't explain anything to me at all if my prescription changed or what I can purchase for my glasses nothing! Or even offer a selection from their store! I saw other people being sat down and explained the pricing ect! She also tried to charge me $99 dollars and I saw on the website it was $59 dollars only for the exam with no purchase of glasses! Very rude unprofessional. read more

They don't deserve any stars. We made an appointment for the Palm Springs location, 7-30-21, since it was closer to home. When we made the appointment, we were very clear that we needed an eye exam. So, what do you think happens when you show up? NO EYE DOCTOR. The eye doctor is only available on Monday and not in that location. Since I cannot take a Monday off to help my wife to the exam as she needs a wheelchair, we had no other choice but to leave or wait until one month from now for a day off for the eye exam. When we spoke to the older man that must run the location, he hinted that we did not have an appointment. Wrong. The young lady that checked us in had our name on the screen. This store has horrible customer service. I really wanted to tell that old man "freak you". He made it seem that we were the ones to blame. They made the mistake of telling us an eye doctor would be there and they would not take that responsibility of misleading us. (that is what weak people do.) No wonder their commercials show the "drama of going off the deep end" because they make it miserable and pathetic for customers. read more

The managing staff, online exam technician and the in store technicians all worked together as a team that made my experience very pleasant and timely. One little hiccup occurred that showed a discrepancy in my prescription that the Great team assembled in the Turlock CA. Store and the online technician quickly Caught and solved due to my own failure to follow directions during one phase of the exam, I was amazed at the patience and Understanding that the whole staff expressed on my behalf and I of course followed directions to complete the exam and again great patience was expressed when I took forever to pick out my frames. I ordered two pairs of glasses and left the store with one pair of quality frames and lenses within 30 minutes of presenting the frames of my choice I look forward to returning next week to pickup my second pair. I was able to find what I wanted. I did go with the two for $79 would have been nice if I could have got different pairs I don't like how they price them. My friend couldn't even get the two for one with the exam for $135 she end up paying over $300 for one pair of glasses. I have been trying to get satisfaction from this company for over 3 months. No one is emailing me back even though I have a customer claim number. I paid over $700 for a pair of glasses that were a problem from the beginning. The prescription came back wrong after I waited 2 weeks for them, the lab made a mistake with the script. They were sent back and it took another 2 weeks to get them. The fit was terrible when I finally received them and after numerous adjustments, I wanted to return them. They said the warranty was up. 4 of the warranty weeks were waiting for the glasses with the correct prescription to be shipped to me. I find this unacceptable and want a refund. Nobody at the lab will return my emails. Misael Cajina and Bryan Medina (not sure these are real names or people) in Customer service are unresponsive. I am very unhappy and dissatisfied. DO NOT GO TO EYELABS in Savannah because they use this lab to make their glasses. Also it appears NOWOPTICS in Florida is a shady place of operations also. I just read another review from someone who got the same excuse about the warranty being up due to the labs problem of not fixing the glasses properly. Very pleased with our experience. We were greeted as soon as we came into store and checked into our appointments. We were taken to fill out the tablets with our medical info and this was a fast process. Then we had a technician test the size of our eyes on several machines. Then, we had an exam with the Doctor on a screen in an exam room for our actual prescription. Everything was printed out for us to see our prescriptions and explained what we might want or need. The young lady that helped us was not pushy at all and she helped me try to get the best price for my entire family since we were a family of four and this was going to be a huge expense. She helped us get a military discount as my husband and I are both Veterans. We really appreciate that. She was very attentive and worked really hard to make sure we were happy. Very pleased with the process and we can't wait to pick up all of our glasses. You won't be disappointed , the process and pricing are great. read more

Definitely had a positive experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Eye exam was thorough and timely. Great selection and Tamar helped me hone in on glasses that fit me well and are extremely high quality. The special of 60% off sunglasses was to good to resist. The Sunbit program which allows you to finance your balance really helped me stay comfortable budget wise and I left the store feeling taken care of - happy from the initial greeting, to the well done eye exam, to the helpful assistance selecting eye wear, to the easy completing of paperwork. read more

I went in with broken frames and they switched them to the exact same frames. Despiite struggles and injuring his hand, Chris managed it. Three people had to try as my particular frames made an exact switch very difficult. These lenses will never fall out. When I say Chris was beyond kind and helpful, I am absolutely not kidding. He's a jem and I hope Stanton knows it. Heck, ANY company would be lucky to have such a passionate, kind and amazing company. That kid's the real deal. :) read more
