I got my eye contact exam done else where and they were trying to scam me on a half year supply of contacts so I gave Stanton a call to see if they could help me out. Wow was I surprised!!! I was on the phone with Jasmin, who was super helpful and patient helping me out. Not only was the price amazing, the customer service was spectacular, and I'll be getting my contacts in a week earlier than what the other optometry was telling me. Jasmin went above and beyond to help me get a tester pair to see how my contacts will work out!!!! Definitely will be going back to refill my contacts when I run out!! Thank you guys !! read more

This was my second time to use Stanton Optical in Santee and I am sad to say , it will be my last. I was given a "virtual exam" and it was not even close to being accurate. I used the prescription provided to order $300 worth of prescription glasses online and was very surprised when I received the glasses and the were unusable. I could not see with them. I visited a second optometrist where I received an accurate prescription (which was not even close to what Stanton had provided) and ordered glasses from the same on-line company. These glasses were perfect. I returned to Stanton Optical with my concerns and receipts and was told the optometrist do not work directly for Stanton and they were not responsible if the prescriptions were not correct. Stanton Optical did refund the cost of the exam but refused to cover the cost of the useless glasses. Buyer beware. read more

The Wednesday afternoon shift rocks! Carolyn and PJ helped me out more than words can describe! I purchased glasses from a different location and it was not the right prescription at all. Carolyn was able to tell me exactly what was wrong and went above and beyond. She called the store manager of the location I purchased my glasses from and explained everything that needed to change. While Carolyn was on the phone, PJ gave me some company and reassurance that I will have all my worries disappearing shortly. Unfortunately, the re-order of my glasses was not able to happen here in Santee because I purchased them elsewhere. I went in for the two pairs for $79.00. They did not have the lenses for my prescriptions. I could spend three times as much OR get my glasses in two weeks. Stanton Optical advertises SAME DAY and $79.00. Neither was possible. Then they wanted me to pay for the virtual exam. They advertise exam included. I told them no because they did not live up to their advertising. Stanton Optical should have the lenses in stock. They are a big company. I am so disappointed. I brought in my own Fendi frames and the optician tech whose name was Janerio was very professional , friendly and knowledgeable . Found my permanent optical place!! Customer service was beyond expectations.. They have a HUGE variety of lenses in all price ranges. Janeiro helped me find the perfect glasses.. buy one, get one free!! The staff was very knowledgeable, answering my millions of questions. Prices were great and their warranty is the best too! 20 minute wait for the glasses instead of the usual week or so. I am very impressed, and walking out with glasses i'm really happy with for the first time in my life :) UPDATE- I still have not received my contacts yet. They stated 3-5 days.. it's on the 8th day, and still no contacts Very disappointed. I would still go back for eyeglasses and exam... but I would be certain to get my prescription right then and there and go directly to Costco and order my contacts there. Cool Ass staff. Sales Capt Janeriro got me in for an eye exam in a nano second. And hung with me while my glasses were made...Same Day!! Amenah the OD Tech was both professional and personable. Reassuring me that almost everyone takes awhile to pop a contact lens into their eyeball. Dr. Tonnu was a blast to interact with. Reassuring me that immense amounts of carrot juice is great for beta carotene but eye health goes beyond that. She laughed at my near sighted Asian Oopmpah Loompah jokes. GM Cody was knowledgeable with the frames I brought in. Taking time to explain which frames will work with my prescription. Recap-A really cool ass staff to interact with for your eyeglass needs. I purchased contacts and 3 pairs of glasses. The glasses took 1 month single vision with a coating) and so did the contacts. I was able to order my contacts from a different company and got them within a week and asked for a refund for the contacts only on March 18th. It is now April 15th and still no refund. The manager, Maryella, at the Santee, California store who I've been in contact with for the past 3 weeks had no explanation, wouldn't return phone calls and kept telling me corporate was in charge. She was unprofessional, dismissive and couldn't be bothered to talk to me directly. Maryella wouldn't tell me who her supervisor was so I could talk to them and get my refund expedited. I call the call center and they tell me that my refund was just processed April 13th! Very poor customer service and we will not return to Stanton Optical. read more

I take back every single thing I Said about this place. Ever wonder why its not the same optometrist or the same manager? I wrote a bad review and then wrote a good one because they actually made things right. I expressed how they shaded my hubby before and he only went back because I promised him it was better. Jokes on me. They actually broke his frames putting his lenses in and then tried to hand them off with wet super glue. Glue on the lense and frame split. Destiny stutters when she's called out, we have the same frames in the car and she promises to fix it immediately and when I look at them there's a crazy deep scratch across the left eye. I'm so floored at how this scam station is even in business. She promised a full refund and free lenses that took over 2 weeks. At least Destiny felt remorse and is probably doing her best with what she can, find a new job girl, people are going to hate you. read more

I went in for a two pair deal and got bait and switched to a two pair that were completely more expensive while I was waiting for the exam! I'm not quite sure when all of this happened but I'm assuming Feb 19! They exam was a long wait more than 90 min! I was asked to come back in two hours that they would be able to accommodate! Two hours later they told me that I would not be able to see the doctor that day and that I needed to make another appearance the next day! I told them to cancel the 500.00 order that I was done! They all looked shocked! Well the next day I received a call from the manager with an apology and offered me a half price deal! It was the only reason I went back! So fast forward to a week ago to me sitting on the glasses and going back to the store, they could not find my information, the where and when! Waisted my time but said they had a frame that would accommodate my lenses! Ok 90.00 bucks and let's go! They were never able to find my transaction! Oops but then admitted that they had a system and software change! Ok this is where it gets interesting! The manager then punches out the lenses and pops them into the new frames! Then was having trouble and disappeared into the back! She was back there forever, I paid and left never really looking at them, plus it was dark! A few days later I realized that there was now a spot in the middle of the left lenses and a weird line across the top of both lenses! So being a busy guy a was not able to get back to the store! I go today and deal with the same manager and showed her the problem! She snapped that my tint was coming off and my warranty was over! Now she never told me this during my first visit, what I'm assuming is the tint I is sprayed on with the frames on and the lines are where the other frames were before, another thing she never explained! I will say that I tried to explain my position any she just blew me off when I pointed out the issue! No amount of service or consideration? No trace of when I purchased or anything! So this is the third strike I hope other follow. Unfortunately my name is not Jose? Just another example of your company being unable to focus on the customers needs! read more

I had the best customer service experience of my life the other day at the Santee location. I had scratched my glasses and I needed them for an event. Noor and team went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and to try and get my glasses done on time. I was waiting next door and she was worried about my wait time and actually came over to give me an ETA which she did not need to do. She called me multiple times to give me updates and was very friendly and communicative during the entire process. Below average experience. No better than Lens crafters. The interaction with the Optometrist was positive, everything else was just plain bad. Everyone runs around in white coats conveying a high standard of customer service and equal experience across all employees. Not the case. Everyone I talked to ranging from manager to jr. employee was slow and inexperienced. There is a serious disconnect between the optometry and sales side of this business. I would say this business is about 10% professionally guided optometry and 90% jr sales people pushing glasses deals on you. I'd be very cautious about giving this place your business. read more

Started off fine customer service greeted me and answered all my questions, and the next appointment wasn't until 2 so I waited around for a little over an hour picking frames and hanging out on my phone. 2pm arrives and no doctor for my appointment, so I waited 15 minutes just Incase they were late. Still no doctor, and no one gave me an update about when the doctor was coming back, or asked if I wanted to reschedule, so I walked out. This place is so unfriendly and so unwelcoming. Made appointments for me and my husband at 10am. We walked in and were not even acknowledged until about 5 minutes of us standing at the front. When finally greeted. The lady had asked what we were here for. I told her we had appointments to get our eyes checked at 10. But, I had a few questions before proceeding with the appointment. She pointed and said you can take a seat. I'm busy at the moment so I can't answer your questions right now. My husband and I just looked at each other and rolled out eyes like okay. lol!! We went and waited where we were told. Plenty of employees were walking around by us and again no acknowledgment by anyone. Finally after another 30 minutes of waiting we were finally started our process of starting our eye exam. Then the lady couldn't even tall me if they took our insurance. She went to go ask someone. Drove 18 miles only to be told: "you are getting plastic lenses and progressive lenses that are so small that most people cant use them. However, if you upgrade to the premium lenses they make the area to use to read with much bigger for merely over $400.00" Despicable company !! read more

I can not leave a great enough review for Stanton Optical. It is difficult for me to find glasses I like and that I feel fit me well. My husband and I came in and immediately our expectations were exceeded. It was like they treated us like family, there was a personal investment with a professional demeanor. Courtesy, kindness, patience, positivity, genuineness...... I could go on and on. The next day I had some buyers remorse and felt that the glasses weren't comfortable and just wasn't thrilled with my purchase. I came back to the store and sheepishly and almost embarrassingly told them my regret. Without any questions they helped me pick out a new pair and sent me on my way. An overall amazing experience. Walked in to pass the time in between appointments, not expecting much, but I walked out, only a couple of hours later with 2 new pairs of glasses and a full eye exam and new prescription! I walked in and was IMMEDIATELY greeted by 3 people who jumped to help me! 2 pairs of (ugly and odd) glasses for $69 + a free eye exam was a great deal, but rendered nothing I liked. So I told Ashley (very sweet young lady) what my budget was, and after she spoke to her manager twice, I stayed under my budget! Got my second choice of sunglasses, but still looks great! And the Doctor there is very knowledgeable and friendly, and explained everything and gave me options. Over all, definitely a 5 star experience! read more

Like" that's what I'm trying to tell you, "your glasses...will not be ready" for another 5 days", really..!!!????What the heck?? get it together. The lab is in this same building "they say." I called while on my way to pick up my glasses today,( because i didn't get a courtesy call) that's when all hell broke loose! Let me see what I can do, he says, puts me on hold just long enough for me to take a deep breath. Nothing! Runaround, yeah that's what he did for me!! Nice try buster! Come back to tell me his manager is on another call, yeah right! Nice job on the speed recovery after I grilled your ass over the phone this morning. Yes thank you, I will be picking up my glasses tomorrow, and if I don't I will definitely be leaving there with some extra unexpected shopping money that's for certain;);) But on the real, if they try to give me a hard time tomorrow, I will tell every single person I know not to go there, and that may not be very many people but I work with over 40 women , and you know what they say.. We had an appointment at 11:25 for an eye exam. We got there early for paperwork etc. when we walked in it was utter disarray and chaos. The store was dirty. People had left trash and drink cups on the waiting area chairs. The employees were very unprofessional. We waited until 11:45 when we decided to leave. There was no sign of cleaning/sanitizing anything between customers. I had bought my glasses there and had a wonderful experience and thought I'd bring my boyfriend here expecting the awesome experience that I had before. Unfortunately this was not the case. I will never refer anyone else to this location. read more

Overall I am happy with my experience here. The employees were super nice. I had an appointment and when I got there they were pretty busy. I was taken into the exam room and had a "virtual" exam provided by the Dr. Through a "zoom" type of appointment. Afterwards she told me she was sending one of the techs back in. No one came. For a pretty good amount of time. When they finally did come in they were apologetic and the manager gave me a discount on my glasses. Like i said. Overall they were great.
