I had an amazing experience. Jessie was able to address my issue instantly that Kaiser had missed. She was very empathetic. Al was fabulous! You never know how hard life can be when you can't see due to the wrong prescription. Al was able to get me 2 pairs of glasses in about an hour. It wasn't too bad. Al was the guy doing my exams and of course he was awesome. I was baited and switched at the beginning. They said over the phone, not from here but the call center located out of the country, I was supposed to get 20% off of a year's worth of contacts but when I got there it wasn't for the ones I wanted. Then everything was a bit more expensive than I thought it was going to be. I do have a pretty big prescription and opted for the really light lenses. I also got all of the things like uv, scratch, etc. I kind of went for it. The contacts came in like a week. The glasses were 3 weeks. I was told that the glasses might be 1-2 weeks. They were late by a week and I didn't know they were coming from out of country. I would think they would have manufacturers in the USA. When I went to pick my stuff up everything was good. I am pretty satisfied with the glasses. They're soo much lighter and don't hurt my face, thanks. All in all, it was a good experience. I have to say that the customer service was very good. They really try hard to make sure you are happy. It's funny because when my glasses were a week late I started looking up Stanton on line and wow, there's a lot of really unhappy people out there. Closed for good? On a Thursday morning at 9:15, nobody there, no sign on the door, nothing. Just locked and the lights are off. No problems with local weather. Note that there is no way to call them. The number they give out goes to an offshore call center, where they have no idea whether the location is closed or not. Deliberately awful customer service, don't be fooled into trying to get glasses there. If there are problems with your glasses you'll be stuck dealing with a sketchy (or perhaps closed) company. read more

Relatively reasonable eye exam fees but my high prescription glasses were extraordinarily expensive. Even after supplying my own frame. The glasses delivery time frame kept slipping as well. From a two week turnaround, now up to a month and counting. The eye exam process was fast, rather like an assembly line. All exam work is done by technicians. Never saw the opthamologist whose name is associated with the office. They were also unable to order any contact lense brand that wasn't on their list of options. This visit didn't work out very well for me. I won't be returning. read more

I finally decided it was time to get glasses when I saw the Stanton Optical commercial on the news last week. On the commercial it stated two pairs for $59.00. I knew ahead of time that the selection of glasses in the $59.00 special would not be the best or most desirable pairs. I knew I would end up picking out a better pair than the special as advertised. I was prepared. When I went in, the two employees were very nice, professional and attentive. I can say that my experience was very pleasurable. The exam part that includes talking to someone on a tv screen was interesting. I figured it was something new, as I have not purchased glasses in about 8 years, even though I needed them. I ended up finding two pairs that I liked (not the $59.00 two pair special). My frames were $159, lenses $99, and I purchased the anti glare for $69 for 2 pairs. These prices included another pair of frames (equal or lesser value) lenses for free. The exam is free, as they take it off the price of the frames which is fine. As with anything in life, you get what you pay for. If you go in expecting to get two pairs of great glasses for $59.00, you might be disappointed with you spend more money. I wasn't. The only reason I am giving this review a 4.0 is because on the website, it states that you can receive your glasses in 15 minutes. I found out at the store that is not the case any longer. Barring any issues with receiving my glasses within the 14 days that I was told, my experience was a four star. read more

Even though my younger child is picky on choosing glasses he did find the right ones for the price $59 for two pairs. I had a great experience from the beginning. When I first went in Eva gave me my container let me know the instructions grabbing all the frames that I wanted to look at, I felt bad when I was sitting down trying them on. She was super cool and patient with me going through all of the glasses and explaining the positives and the negatives. She is / looked "put together " for herself so I thought/trusted that she would give good advice and she did. I found a great pair of glasses and a pair of sunglasses. When we sat down she went through all the options of going through my insurance and go in the other route she took her time I was really appreciative of that. Let's do Stanton Optical by the numbers: 2 - the number of glasses Stanton offers for $59 482 - the actual cost of my final invoice $482 10 - the number of weeks it took to complete my order 5 - the number of trips I made to Stanton 2 - the number of lenses that fell out of my new glasses 3 - the number of glasses that had to have the lenses remade 0 - the number of glasses I have after all of this Disappointing. Slow. Poor workmanship. Just a few words to describe my experience at Stanton Optical. I was lured in by the prices in their ads. That "two for $59" offer applies only to a very limited selection of a few frames. 90% of their frames are in the $100-250 range, plus lenses, coatings etc. On April 28 I was fitted for two frames and a pair of sunglasses. On 7/10, I returned two pair because the lenses fell out and never saw the last unfinished pair. They say 2-3 weeks to make your glasses. One pair took over 9 weeks and I still never even tried them on. Two pair of regular glasses were progressive lenses and needed to have the lenses remade because of a mistake in measuring. I wore the sunglasses two days and one regular pair for about 3 weeks before the lenses fell out of both pair. I returned them without picking up the last pair. After 10 weeks and 5 trips across town to Stanton, I was done with them. I said I wanted to return all the glasses and after repeated insistence, they refunded my money. They weren't trying to deny the refund, they just took their sweet time (about 25 min?) doing it. So nearly 3 months and 5 trips later, I'm once again looking for glasses. I would not recommend going to Stanton Optical. read more

Sketchy & liars. Be wary of their "special". Even though I called to verify they will be a doctor available to do the exam, they assured me there will be but once I arrived the eye exam was NOT available to be done by an onsite optometrist, it is remote skype "doctor". Also to clarify their special. You pay for the exam and then can use towards eye frame purchase. Every frame i picked up was $80+ And this does not include lenses! I get the remote thing being an option but please dont lie to be about there actually being a doctor and then focus solely on the sale of cheap eye glasses. To reply to response below: There was no confusion is the promotion. I asked your representative multiple times very clearly on the phone before arriving he kept assuring me there will be a physical doctor present who can conduct the eye exam. It was a lie. Your representative lied. It was the lie and complete waste of time driving through 5pm traffic which lead me to leave a bad review. Please dont try and continue to lie with your false we "stand behind" a new technology which you purposely omit from your entire website and promotion. There's a reason you are not up front and have received multiple reviews expressing a similar situation to mine. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Stanton Optical right after they opened after the whole Covid-19 issue. Although they had to take precautions as far as social distancing, a little bit more of a wait time, I found them to be amazing! Jamie couldn't have done anything more to make me feel taken care of. The price was great too! I got two pair of glasses and an eye exam for 139! You might pay less though.. I have a very strong prescription, so I opted to get the polycarbonate lenses and I needed progressive lenses as well. I left feeling very pleased! Thank you Jamie! read more

I went to Stanton optical and got help right away with a huge discount on my new lenses with the same frames. Why did I go anywhere else. I've been going to the Vision Center at Costco most of my life and needed to renew my prescription. Couldn't afford the prices at Costco so I decided to try Stanton Optical. IM SO GLAD I DID. Not only do they have good deals, the staff is so amazing!! Al Garing is an awesome optician. He did things professionally & quickly, but you can tell he actually cares about his patients. This place is a scam. They took our insurance card and then said they couldn't verify the insurance. That it would be far cheaper for us to pay in cash rather than submit to insurance. We paid $99 for two pair of glasses. Submitted to insurance and got reimbursed. Two months later they try (fortunately the insurance company smelled a rat) to bill insurance for two pair of glasses at $327 for one and $247 for another. It seemed suspect when we were there, but went against our better judgement and handed over our cards. I wouldn't suggest doing the same. UPDATE: They tried to fraudulently bill our insurance again on 10/9 even after all of this. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INSURANCE CARD. read more

I came here to get some new glasses. First red flag-The initial eye health check was given to me by a young man who had only been on this job for a couple of weeks. I was apprehensive but figured, why not give them a chance? The second red flag was a Skyped optometrist in some unknown location. No onsite eye Dr.!? They wrote me out a Px for some glasses and sold me on 2 frames. They gave me a very low price so I figured I was getting a deal. I requested high index lenses as my Px is strong and was told I would get them. I was given an appointment with an in person optometrist 10 days later. I was stunned. Why 10 days? Anyhow, I went in to see him, he confirmed their Px and the glasses were sent in for design. I was told 10 business days. After 4 weeks, I had to keep bothering them to get my glasses. At 5 weeks (not 10 days) the glasses finally arrived. The lenses were huge! One regular lens and a coke bottle thick second lens. No high index lenses. I saw 2 people as soon as I put the glasses on! The glasses made one eye huge and the other eye as small as a pea. As a professional, there was no way on Earth I was going to wear those terribly made horrific glasses in my office, let alone the world. I asked for my $500 back and left. I do have to say they do their best to provide good customer service, however, they don't listen to their customers. I'm going to LensCrafters. Save your time and money people. This place doesn't have a clue how to handle their business. read more

I had a great experiance at Stanton Optical! I was immediately greeted by Sunny when I walked in. He had a great disposition and was very kind. Everyone on staff is working very hard, as they had a number of people in the business, but they made sure that I felt appreciated for showing up. My exam was done quickly and accurately to help find the glasses I needed. They offered me a couple of different deals and made sure that I had the best possible price on the glasses that I wanted. Their buy one get one deal was excellent as was their knowledge of insurance rates and how to work with in those guidelines to provide what I needed. Thought I was getting two pair of eyeglasses, they not only didn't give me a receipt. When I went to pick him up I only got one pair, and they had to remake them. So it'll be a month before I get my one pair of glasses. So I have to make four trips to get one pair of glasses. read more

This was my first visit to Stanton and I was exceptionally surprised with the care I received. EVERYONE at the Hazel Dell office was extremely accommodating. The eye exam went smoothly, although a bit unusual with a bunch of new equipment I've never seen before and included a live video for the "Is this better or worse?" vision part. They have a nice selection of glasses to choose from at very reasonable prices, but don't expect to find the super high end frames. Amy was very helpful and ran the numbers for me on the cost through my insurance versus using one of their specials. I walked out with trial contacts, very nice glasses with polycarbonate lenses, made while I waited, and prescriptions for both contacts and glasses for well under $200. Amazing! The manager was also extremely friendly and helpful. This was a much better experience than past experiences with "High Pressure" LensCrafters and America's best optical. My only complaint is their central calling service. I'd prefer to call directly to the office location. Will most definitely go back. (FYI, I took my mask off just briefly enough to to take the in the pic below so my husband could give his input remotely). read more

My first time here. What a joke of a eye clinic. The doctor, or should I say the MA on the screen. Horrible service, the gals there were to busy talking to each other. Picked my glasses and ordered anti glare and scratch protection. Paid for but didn't receive it. Picked up glasses and she hands them to me and says have a nice day. I said do I try them on and get them fitted? She said nope we are too busy, I spent $178 dollars, she said sir we are busy, I said I am the only person in here, well I have stuff to do to get to go home. I asked for her manager and she said Nono e is here to help. I have posted this all all social media, word of mouth. I will never be back! What a shit hole this place is. read more

The exam was done via video screen by someone in another country. They tried three different times to get my prescription right but couldn't and just kept saying I'd have to get use to it. What a great find! Just moving into the Vancouver, WA area, saw the Stanton Optics store. I had moved from Iowa where I had gotten my exam and prescription. I have worn glasses since 5th grade & just had a Yag laser procedure in my eye with my cataract lens. I'm currently 64 y/o, so I've had about a kazillion contacts & glasses over my lifetime. Couldn't believe the choices in eyewear! I had about 10 pair I had narrowed my selection to, till I finally pick out 2 pair that I "loved" for their promotion of " buy one pair, get second free". The price was GREAT since I don't have any eye insurance & I have paid more than that for one pair of glasses. The quality is great in the glasses I got. Took one star off because of lack of help. Only one person working the floor for about 4 customers. Had to wait awhile to place my order. Will definitely come here again! Thanks, guys!!! read more

Having never been to an eye doctor as well not knowing anything about glasses but finally coming to the realization that I desperately need them I went to Stanton. Their staff was extraordinarily helpful and walked me through the whole process. I was in and out with glasses in less than an hour and a half. Don't listen to the review stating that the doctor Skyped in, that is absolutely false the doctor was kind and very helpful as well as VERY present. I would recommend this place to anyone read more

Although I am not a patient of Stanton Optical, I have visited this office twice and I had great experiences during both visits. The first time I stopped by to purchase new lens cleaning solution and a cleaning cloth. Stanton Optical sells solution/lens cleaning kits which work better than anything I have ever tried, and I received two kits for a great price. My second visit was for a difficult adjustment on a pair of glasses; Ahmed was very patient and meticulous throughout the adjustment, spending almost 15 minutes to make sure the adjustment went right. Sunny helped my and my mom and took ample time with myself and my mom he helped us find all the right pairs. The only thing that made me feel a little ehhhh was that sunny was very assuring that my moms lenses would look a certain way, not look as thick as originally and that's what my mom was self conscious about the thickness, he sold her on this and that and made us feel comfortable that there is nooooo way it would be as thick Went to pick up her glasses and a different lady helped up.. and she made the comment that with my moms prescription there is nooooo way they would not be "thick" Which is understandable I just didn't like how the first guy was really selling it to us to make us upgrade and then the next lady was like oh no there's no way We ended up keeping the glasses and sunny was again very nice i just don't like the care salesmen approach and also kinda Werid that there is no eye doctoring in the building to help with any further questions read more

The employees here are very friendly and make the entire experience easy to understand. The frame selection could be better. Their main promo on covers a very limited selection of frames. If you are on a budget like I was please be aware you may come a away with glasses that weren't exactly what you were expecting to get. It was awesome that they made my glasses in-store in about 15 minutes. No waiting a week or anything. After five years I finally bit the bullet and went in to have my eyes checked and get new glasses. First of all, I knew going in that the $59 pair of glasses would not be available due to the lenses I need and the options I want on my glasses. I think everyone should understand that a $59 pair of glasses is probably ok for a kid who has minimal correction. but for someone wanting multifocal lenses, tinting, transitions, polycarbonate lenses,scratch and anti glare coating you are not going to find that anywhere for $59, even online. I have always paid (even with insurance) approximately $300-$400 out of pocket for glasses. Now to report on the Vancouver Site, I loved them. They were not only friendly but extremely helpful when it came to helping me pick the right frames. The entire experience was painless, of course except for my pocketbook which would have been the case anywhere. They were upfront about the costs and I did not feel pressured to buy anything I did not want. They explained their current options which allowed me to actually get a second complete pair for 60% off. I have not received my glasses yet so will report on that later, but as for the overall visit and experience, I would definitely go back. read more

I have been to lens crafters and americas best. Lens crafters is awesome but more expensive. Americas best in hazel dell is pretty good, and affordable but not the greatest. I saw stanton opened up here in hazel dell so i went in and had an exam. They didnt warn me that the doctor isnt on site so i was a little weirded out. He was on a speaker. It gave me a strange feeling because they didnt tell me! I have always had a doctor in the room during an eye exam. The over the speaker thing was just weird. I was worried my Rx was gonna be off. Fortunately i can see fine out of my glasses. The eye exam took forever, the doctor signed off and they had to log in again. I was there for an hour but i was also the only patient there picking out glasses so it should not have taken that long. The staff didnt really know how to do anything. Picked up my glasses and the frames needed adjustments. I have a small face so it can be tricky to fit glasses but it took 3 different people and an hour to fit my glasses. Again i was the only person in there. I felt like they were getting frustrated with me because the glasses were not fitting. Finally after the 3rd person tried they fit ok. Still need adjustments but im going to see if another place will do it for me. Im going to ask lens crafters, the guy there at vancouver mall location was amazing he adjusted glasses for me to perfection. Anyway, the virtual speaker doctor, the lack of training and terrible frame fitting adjustments just made me never want to return. I will not be using this place again. read more

I realized that I wouldn't get two pairs for 59. I paid around 300 for two but considering that I have a high index lens with progressive lens and coatings I still thought the price would good. Was told I would get the glasses in 2 weeks. After numerous phone calls and stopping in I finally got the first pair around 4 weeks. Never did the second pair. The story kept getting changed as to why they didn't come in. Falls after 2 1/2 months I contacted my credit card company and got half my money back. Fast forward to a year later and I go get my eyes checked and find out that the reason I was having so many problems with my close up vision was because I didn't have a progressive lens. So stay away from this place. When it sounds too good to be true it is. read more
