This place has terrible service. They have their stock messed up with the wrong prices. We were moved to a different register in the middle ringing up. This place is terrible especially when you have to be somewhere in an hour. Not just the prices are mixed up employees have very rude attitudes. This is a review of using UPS services at Staples in general, not this Staples specifically (I shipped from this Staples). Staples corporate customer service, where I ended up, is friendly and helpful. But if you have a problem with shipping a package, such as damage, you will be caught in a corporate runaround because your business relationship is with the company (Staples) that didn't actually ship your package. The complaint process took months, and in the end, UPS didn't honor my insurance coverage on the package and threw my remaining undamaged contents in the trash without contacting me (the shipper). And UPS wouldn't deal with me directly because I shipped through Staples. I will not ship UPS through Staples again. Any convenience is not worth this hassle. read more

My order was botched completely, because somebody had not looked at the directions for printing. The job came in on Friday, so I had to go back on Saturday. The totally unhelpful assistant said his supervisor was the only one who could deal with the problem and that he wouldn't be in until Monday, and any job I wanted wouldn't be ready until Wednesday--four days past my deadline. I don't think any aspect of this place works well. The managers sit in their offices and leave staff to deal with or ignore customers. It's not well stocked; do not believe what it says online for what they have. Good luck finding good help. There are a couple of good people working there but mostly everyone seems miserable and having missing and poorly organized stock doesn't help the mood. I see that there are some tough reviews on this place, and I understand those frustrations well. Having been in service jobs myself, I am a tough customer when the environment is unprofessional. I have to say, though, I've been in this place 4 or 5 times, and called a couple of times, and everyone was always friendly and tried to help. This last time, though -- they outdid themselves. I had a huge, almost unsolvable computer problem that I won't bore you with, and the manager, and two tech advisers, made sure my problem was addressed. The true miracle worker, who went way beyond what he need to do to try to help me -- in time and in thinking through the problem without giving up -- was Senior Tech Solution Adviser LEO. Had a great experience here! Elijah was super kind to help me carry heavy boxes many blocks down the road and is a huge asset to the team! He definitely deserves a raise! Henry, the Ass Manager was very helpful too and was balancing many customers at once, but made us all feel like we were getting the best service. Ida checked me out and was so friendly and sweet... I admit, I'm not a shopper. But this Staples makes me want to buy everything online and never, ever set foot in a store. Tonight, for example, against my better judgment, I went into Staples to get three color printer cartridges for my printer. I saw two of the colors I needed on the shelf, but not the third, so I asked a salesperson if there might be additional stock in the back. He said "Let me check," and then I watched him stand in the front of the store chatting with colleagues, wandering the aisles restocking merchandise, and swiveling around in an office chair. When I approached him and said "Hey, sorry to bother you, but do you happen to have that cartridge?" He said "I need a key for the back, but I don't have one." A few minutes later, he and some colleagues walked into this mysterious "back." Ten seconds later, he came back and said "Sorry. We don't have it." I hopped on Amazon, ordered the cartridge (for less than they are selling it at Staples) and called it a night. read more

Was getting emails from Staples to use my $4.00 reward ASAP, as it was about to run out. I had tried to before in NYC, but for unknown reasons they only used $20 of my $24 reward. I don't know if that's just another staff mistake, or a deliberate policy to force you to come back. The whole reason I stopped by was this time was to use up the @#$%! coupon. I announced I had a coupon before anything was rung up, said I had the info on my phone, could read the number or line it up to get scanned, whatever. The nice guy at the counter said let's get you reward #, so I looked it up & gave it to him. He found me in the system & I thought all systems were go until I got home & checked my receipt. No $4 credit. Called Staples. After going through lengthy maze of menus, hanging up & calling back once, I finally reached a human. Explained issue. He found the store receipt, accessed my account, acknowledged that I had a coupon, that is hadn't been used. That the cashier SHOULD HAVE scanned it or punched in the number. So sorry. No refund. No credit. No offer to extend the coupon so it doesn't expire. Hey, I could drive back 45 minutes to the store and buy more Staples stuff and use my coupon! As long as I did it in the next two days! Just because OUR employee was imperfectly trained & messed up is no reason for US to actually do anything! Yes, I even spoke to a supervisor I was so appalled. That got me another, I'm so sorry. No, we won't do anything. We "can't" redeem your coupon. You will have to print it out & return to the store. Bait and switch. So if you use a coupon, please check your receipt before you leave the store... read more

It took more than 19 minutes (much of it spent on hold) to find out if they have the storage bins advertised in this week's circular. One staff person said I was wrong and it's not in the circular (even though I had the circular in my hand); another staff person said the bins were on clearance and they're no longer available -- actually, she kept yelling it -- but the yelling was less annoying than her condescension. After having asked to speak to the manager, he confirmed that they have the bins. But it took more than 19 minutes to have them answer a simple question. And they were rude and condescending throughout (the manager did apologize for the inconvenience but he did not apologize for their poor behavior), which is a shame because I have had great experiences at Staples in Woodbridge, VA, and in Connecticut. read more

Pathetic service. Not sure why anyone works there. After waiting in line for service for advanced copying, Dominic said come back tomorrow. When I explained that it was only 10 copies and I needed it tonight and asked if he was backed up or something, he continued the discussion but begrudgingly as I started to ask about what type of specialized paper they had. I ended up walking away as did the person behind me whom he started talking to while I was still asking questions about getting service. It was clear that Dominic didn't want to assist and I decided if I have to try to convince someone to help me then they really didn't want my business.
