I then went over to Ithaca Mac Repair who told me all I needed to was to clean the charging port with rubbing alcohol. Overall the customer relations were horrible, and they did not do quality work whatsoever. Mabe no one will ever see this review because of the messed-up algorithm, but if you do please don't give this shop your business it's not worth your time or money.

But following the steps to do that wasn't working.Gadget Pro said they could do a factory reset for $40 but we would lose everything on the phone. We were already reconciled to that, so we said go ahead. It only took an hour, and when we came back they said it worked and now all we had to do was sign in with the Apple ID and password. When I reminded them that this was the problem in the first place, they said contact Apple support and they'll unlock it for you. Apple support did unlock it after we provided them with proof that we had purchased the phone 2 years ago. Unlocking it also did a factory reset. Then we were able to set it up again with a new Apple ID and password (which I wrote down and stored). So Gadget Pro was nice and did what they said they would do pretty efficiently, but it didn't solve the problem I had brought to them. I paid them $40 to do something that was useless and unnecessary.

There were delays in getting the parts , going to site with no reservation and having 4 people in front of me , finally leaving on a given day before 5pm not having addressed the issue and still waiting until they fixed it. It needed a shield that I brought in to be placed on the reconditioned phone . More than one important item had not transferred from my original phone ands each download was done manually by me per phone directions that took nearly 2 hours. Of course upon picking it up, the cover had not been put on or been done , so Rob took care of it. Lots of calls to Asurion + verizon , a month later and travels to location and finally getting phone. At least I had insurance that I'd paid for. .But I have it it's done. Took some trial and error and different computers/printers to get me on my way. 4 out of 5 stars because; 1. Wait time longer than expected 2. Many printing issues (very manual process) 3. Price; copy/printing price was reasonable. 4. $27/hr use fee for computer time to print attachments that you send them via email. Not sure if it's prorated or I was actually there for a full hour. It could be charged by just them utilizing the computer. I didn't see any prices posted about computer usage or I could have missed it...

I have called multiple times & been told it takes time to process a claim, also that I can do it myself. Turns out I could not do it myself but had to have FedEx do it as it was an international shipment. Still, I was only on the phone with FedEx for 3 minutes & they had the claim filed. Prism could have handled this but does not care enough about their clientes to do customer service.
