I then went over to Ithaca Mac Repair who told me all I needed to was to clean the charging port with rubbing alcohol. Overall the customer relations were horrible, and they did not do quality work whatsoever. Mabe no one will ever see this review because of the messed-up algorithm, but if you do please don't give this shop your business it's not worth your time or money.

They told me to drop off the laptop at their location, and when I asked for a pricing or timeline estimate, they said they would need to see the laptop in-person to figure that out. When I did go in person, I still was unable to get a pricing estimate, and was told that the laptop would be ready by the evening at the earliest, most likely ready by the next day (so at least 7 hours later). I already saw that the process of replacing the fan should have been very quick, probably under 20 minutes. Although I was pleased to receive a call 7 hours after I dropped off the laptop that it was now ready for pickup, I was shocked when I was told the replacement cost $135! Even if the laptop fan was fixed, I could have probably done the replacement myself if I had bought thermal paste from Amazon for $5. If you come to this place, you NEED to get a pricing estimate. The customer service is good, and he did a good job checking to ensure the fan wasn't making the overhead noise. But the pricing is unacceptable.

There were delays in getting the parts , going to site with no reservation and having 4 people in front of me , finally leaving on a given day before 5pm not having addressed the issue and still waiting until they fixed it. It needed a shield that I brought in to be placed on the reconditioned phone . More than one important item had not transferred from my original phone ands each download was done manually by me per phone directions that took nearly 2 hours. Of course upon picking it up, the cover had not been put on or been done , so Rob took care of it. Lots of calls to Asurion + verizon , a month later and travels to location and finally getting phone. At least I had insurance that I'd paid for. .But I have it it's done. They subsequently strung us along with promises of repairing and returning the phone. They never did return the phone (essentially committed theft). After a simple Google search, it appears this company is in bankruptcy. So, it would be advisable to avoid doing business with them unless you want to lose your investment.
