This is my favorite staples. I am a director of communications and I get a LOT of graphics and fliers printed. I've been to multiple staples locations. NONE OF THEM COMPARE TO THIS ONE. Especially not the Bronx park Chester one. I didn't even bother to read the bad reviews because it's not worth it. They are the best here. The managers are also amazing, I believe her name is Lisette. Lisette knows how to run a show. She supports all the staff. She can look at them and tell if they need support. I've worked in customer service for Apple for 6 years and it's remarkable to see that level of service here. Shes kind, fast and a pro at printing. I came in with a huge order. This was possibly the worst experience I have ever had at any staples ever in my life. Horrible horrible horrible. Avoid at all cost!! I will never ever come back to this staples again. First it's takes about 15 minutes to find a spot. Then I go in and 2 about of 4 fax machines are broken. I was here for 2 hours to scan one long document. Zero stars for the assistant manager Mr. Melquan (might be wrong spelling). Very rude. Actually told me it was MY fault that there was a long line at the Amazon return counter making the customers in line begin shouting at me and using profanity. Having been in the customer service industry for 35 years I was astounded by his utter rudeness. Anna, very pleasant young lady, had been handling my Amazon returns and there were 16 with no trouble until her system froze making her unable to confirm that my last 6 returns were processed correctly and unable to give me my receipt. This is when she called Mr Melquan for assistance who provided NO assistance except for telling me to call Amazon and step aside because I was the reason the line was long. I have never been more humiliated. I believe Mr Melquan needs some additional training in how to treat customers. Will definitely bring my returns elsewhere. read more

Purchasing printer ink cartridges is simple and without issues. In a last minute panic I ran out of ink and quickly came to the nearest Staples location. Unfortunately, several locations in Queens, NYC has been closed permanently and I have travel further. This location is nearby Trader Joe's, Michael's, Home Depot among other retail shops. Price is average as expected for printer ink cartridges. Customer service is attentive, prompt and professional. In a hurry, unfortunately, I did not bring my Staples Rewards card but the cashier was kind to search for it by phone number. Four stars as customers attempt to cut the line, insolently, and are impatient to publicly sighed standing to wait in line for their needs. Wait in line woman with your children as I have also waited for my turn! This location is big and is accessible by Q21, Q11, Q52 SBS, and Q53 SBS buses intersecting Queens Boulevard and Metropolitan Avenue. I got it in Queens, NYC! read more

I did my business printing here a few months ago. I always knew they had issues with some of the printers. But today (and last night) was the breaking point. None, and I mean none of them printers were working. The incompetent manager told me to use a different printer that didn't work. And in good NY style walked away from the problem leaving me helpless without my printer. She's a nice person don't get me wrong but incompetency doesn't qualify for looks. When I turn into the pens and stationary aisle, I must admit I get a little excited. Maybe there is a great sale on some of the pens I like. Maybe theres some nice stationary, file folders, index cards or organizational items. But nothing is ever on sale, like never. Maybe highlighters and Post It's have a small discount, not enough for to pique my intetest, as I rarely use them. Printers and laptops are thin on options and too expensive not just in comparison to online retailers. They do sell Kaspersky virus protection which is a plus, the printing and office area fills a nice niche that this section of Metropolitan doesn't have. read more

This Staples location is big. The upside and downside is the location. Right on the intersection of Metropolitan Ave and Woodhaven Blvd. However, they are right next to Trader Joe's so the parking gets very busy. I never park in the front lot. Too much commotion. You have to walk but there is plenty of parking behind the building. I have always gotten my computer or tablet accessories here. Keyboard for my IPad, stands, speakers, cases, carriers, etc. They can be pricey but they have had good choices in the past. I went to look for a travel case for an MacBook Air. No options at all. Looked like they had plenty of IPad stuff though. I didn't really walk around the other sections. Plenty of staff there on a Monday night. This location is convenient for me because it's right next to Trader Joe's. I've visited the store three times now for computer purposes and faxing. I can't say I've ever had an excellent customer service experience while visiting this location. Today, other customers were complaining for the lack of assistance on the sales floor. There were seven employees behind two separate counters. With the little amount of customers in the store, it truly wasn't warranted to have everyone behind a counter. There's no excuse for the lack of friendliness, attentiveness and just simply not doing your job. I hope this location steps it up a notch. read more

Don't call up unless you want to be on hold for 15 minutes to be told within less than a minute that they can't help you because you can only come in a half hour before they close. I need something printed, would only take a few minutes. I was told repeatedly that because I am CHOOSING to come in (I get off of work at 8:30, I work up the block) a half hour prior they cannot help me. Not happy at all. I was told that they work on orders for the following day right before close, and it'd interfere. Came here to print some documents, was super easier then I expected. Either you can go online on staples and schedule a pick up or print it there they have a large copy and print section. I chose to upload it online so I can just run in and pick it up. I figured since I uploaded my document pretty late (around 7pm) that they would have it ready the next day, but I got a confirmation email that they had it ready within 10 minutes. They printed 8 papers and it was like 75cents. Employees are super attentive as well, I was waiting in the back of people who I thought were on line for the service department and someone came up to me and asked me if I needed help which was nice. Overall I hope this staples stays here forever. So helpful. read more

Out of the two Staples that I live between, this is the far better one. Unfortunately, this particular store has been robbed before .......three times. within the first two years that they were open. It was awful. The girls would be shaking, and some teenagers that work there would get really quiet anytime there was a customer that would yell at them. My recent visit was better, I guess the robberies happened so long ago, that the staff (of whats left from the original) is better. I was told they changed manager since those occurrences. It was very challenging to not lose your patience when employees would curve around the aisles like they were in Law and Order, to make sure you didn't do anything 'fishy' or when you would go to the register to pay, they would call a manager or another superior employee to complete the transaction. It was nerve wrecking, especially if you are stressed getting school supplies, and this stressed you out more. This was something very terrible that happened. Unfortunately, Woodhaven Boulevard is like the 'dump all' crime area. Its as if the other boroughs had enough crime quota, that they left the remnants of less than a handful of crimes annually to just ne scattered over here. Sometimes you'll get your BIG crime or tragedy, but I will leave that for another review. Currently, they are all normal , and they only need one person to ring you up now. (yay me!) The place is neat, smells good, and the staff is very welcoming and inviting. The sales are clearly marked in the stores, and the test samples in the store all work (i.e. printers, shredders, etc) The copy center is neat, and there is no messes, other that what people leave when the employees are changing shifts. Oh and for your sake, her's a tip; . . . . ready?..... .it's really good........ don't worry thank me later, because you're welcome in advance. . . . . DO NOT COME HERE WITHIN THE HOURS OF 2:00PM AND 5:00PM ON WEEKDAYS! I'm so serious, its murder, the schools right there, there are people that come off the bus from school, Wendy's is across the street, its an OMG ambush. If you squint, and cover your ears, it looks like a Zombie Apocalypse. Uncover your ears, and it's like the local club, has 'teen night'. I had to find a staples and be in and out very quick. This staples fit the bill. I needed a few items before going to work. I was able to park in the fairly empty lot, run in, grab a few things, and pay all in under 5 minutes. Since it was early enough, the store was empty besides probably 2 other customers. This is by far one of the best staples I have been to in a very long time! Just for the customer service alone they get a 5 star rating. They literally have 5 star people working there. I had the pleasure of being helped by a young lady by the name of Nicole. I brought in an old photo of my mother to be resized and turned into a poster. At first she said it wouldn't be ready until the next day because of there being no more poster paper but somehow she worked her magic and got it done for me in about 30 mins. I must say that the finished product is BREATHTAKING!!! It almost brought me tears. She did a fantastic job!! She also gave my children paper, markers and blank cards to occupy themselves while we waited. I mean really... What more can you ask for?!? Staples did a great job at hiring Nicole. it's a clean and well-organized Staples that sells the usual Staples stuff. what I really come here for: they have a shipping center that's not only open late on weekdays, but open late on weekends too! and the staff at the shipping area are friendly and efficient. also, when the Post Office recently failed to ship a package for me - despite all the details being correct - and I had to send it again via UPS, the manager here waived the fees (so I wouldn't have to pay twice). thanks! read more

I will never again use or try to use the printing services. The unfriendly unclean kid told me they don't print using the 2x4 labels I needed. After grilling him he said I could buy the labels but couldn't use the store printer or photo copier. They weren't made for labels. If you ever want to cut the binding off your book and get it spiral bound, this is not the place to go. The customer service here is terrible, they don't listen to what you want, plus they did a crappy job. I wanted my covers laminated.. i had to ask twice for him to do it and in the end, i'm left with a cover that is not completely attached to the spirals b/c the guy missed the first time he was punching holes and had to re-punch it. He didn't even let me check the book before i paid for it. I had to ask to see it. There is more to this story, but i'll spare you the details. I should have gone to fed-ex where i usually go. They do a superb job, plus they listen to you. Lesson learned. Update: go to the staples on 71st-continental.
