Had an appointment earlier this morning as I had signed up for TSA PreCheck and this was the closest service center that takes your biometrics to facilitate the rest of the processing. I had filled out the online form before making my appointment as you never know how busy the store would be, esp. since it's the summertime. They take walk-ins but they have staggered time slots throughout the day. I figured appointments are more efficient use of my time. I got to the store about 15 min before my appointment as it recommends 10 minutes to sign in. I was directed to the left side of the store where there's a TSA-PreCheck sign/banner. I stood there waiting for just a minute as there was a sign that help would be there momentarily. A female employee asked what ID documents I had to present, then on a machine she went thru the prompts to verify my info from the online application, then proceeded to take my fingerprints on that machine and lastly a photo of my face using a tablet. I paid the fee and I think the process took maybe 5-7 minutes! She said I'd be informed within a few days but online it says it could take up to 60 days. Since it's summer, I guess we'll see? Near the processing center are travel items which I thought was clever for Staples to carry & cross-sell! There were luggages on sale, toiletry items, bags, chargers, travel pillows, portable device accessories, even packable backpacks! I ended up buying some travel spray bottles and as they were on sale for $0.99 and the saleslady said "It's buy 3, get one free!" So I snagged a travel bottle. She said she saw I had 3 so she thought she'd mention it. I walked around looking at other items like sheet protectors, adhesive type hooks, file folders, K-cup coffee, furniture, a variety of pens and the sale section. I didn't need any but wanted to see the prices. I'm glad the store has extra services as many people could just buy office products elsewhere like Amazon nowadays. I highly recommend a service center like this esp. since parking was wide-open and the location is just off the highway. read more

I'm now a Staples fan. The staff at Staples instantly helped me with a printer issue that no one at Best Buy had a clue about. Without going into too much detail, dealing with Best Buy was a nightmare. Staples at La Cantera is amazing. They are kind, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. I now buy all my office supplies and electronics from Staples. Thank-you for such wonderful customer service. read more

i came in today to print copies of my resume so when i walk up to the counter the girl goes "okay do you want to use the self service printers or..." insinuating she didn't want to help me one-on-one. i then go to one of the printers and it's giving me technical issues. when i bring this up to the worker she says "do you want to try another one..?" still not recommending she help me herself. will not be returning to this store. read more

Tonight I went to this store for the first time because I had received an email about a few school supplies sale. Our church (Grace Point Church) is having a foster to adopt ministry event in July where 200 families/grandparents (who care for foster kids) can "shop" for school supplies for their foster kids. Church members donate the school supplies. There were so many of the items on the donation list that are currently on sale. $127 bought the following: 1 Llama backpack, 30 Elmer's glue, 2 boxes of Elmer's glue stick (30 per box), 30 boxes of 24 count Crayola crayons, 5 packs of wide rule filler paper, 30 boxes of pencils (12 per box), 30 dual pencil sharpeners and 30 1-subject spiral notebooks. Shout out to Santiago, Dana and Kyle (cashier) for helping me shop and have a great first shopping experience at this store! #excellentcustomerservice I signed up for the rewards program but will need to look further to better understand the details. Went here today mainly to get a book put in coil bind. Jessica was the only one working in the copy and print area. She is good at multi-tasking so I can see why it is a one woman show in that department. I would have gone to FedEx Office but had a gift certificate to Staples. When I arrived Jessica did not let me know she would be right with me as she assisted needy customers in front of me. Those verbal gestures go a long way. She turned out to be very caring but she seems afraid to show it. She told me it would be 20 mins to get my job done. No problem for me because I was going to shop for some office supplies. They have a clearance section at the back of the store that looks tantalizing but the prices are not really much better than regular price. Many items do not even have prices. There were two male employees talking to each other and I interrupted them to ask the price of something. "We would have to go up front to scan it." I said nevermind. But what the employee SHOULD have said is "I will find out for you" and then take his a** to wherever he needs to go to get me, the customer, a price. But they were too busy with their social call to care about the business customers. Jessica wound up finishing my job in 7 mins and she did EXCELLENT! Thank you, I will be back. read more

I went in today to print some menus for a birthday party on a special paper and I didn't get a survey on my receipt but this visit deserves a great review. I'll start off by saying this location is very organized and clean and someone always greets you when you arrive/leave. The down side is the staff in the UPS area inside. They are extremely rude to customers. I felt so bad for 2 different customers who had questions and were treated as if they should've known the answers already. read more

I needed to design and have printed several copies of a handout/flyer for a gun raffle to be held by a military veteran association. I received a very good print job which was done offsite at the local Staples Design Center. I experienced a quick turnaround with reasonable costs. Customer service was excellent and Marlene explained everything clearly. read more

When I needed professional copies in a quick manner, this WAS the place to go. Today, I arrived at 8 a.m. after sending an order to them, only to learn that their copies was not up due to service issues. It seems that every day the firm does an update before allowing its copy center to help its customers. I will NEVER do business with them again. read more

The overall environment is very professional here. If you see my other reviews, the experiences at two other office stores were quite... sub-par. The staff is actually attentive and asks if you need assistance. I was moseying around with an employee and was asked three separate times if I needed help... AWESOME! The only downside, I saw a KILLER DEAL (of course it was too good to be true... they forgot to take the paper out of the plastic.) I would recommend coming to staples than the other two... read more

CHECK YOU RECEIPT!!!! Long story short, the person on the floor that helped me Dennis tried to overcharge me $80 when he checked me out at the register. I made it clear that I didn't want the warranty for $30 and he told me that if I went home and got my old printer he could give me $50 off my new printer. When my total came out alot higher than I expected, I asked to see the receipt itemized on the register and when I noticed that it didn't subtract $50 for my old printer he stumbled around and said ohh uhh, because when he was scanning my items he made a big deal about how the $50 WAS subtracted, then I saw that he did indeed add the $30 dollar warranty that I made clear! I didn't want. I never got to Staples so I don't know if they get a commission or if he was going to pocket the difference or what but he KNEW he was cought and I just demanded my old printer and walked out! read more

The copy and shipping desk at this store really saved my bacon. I made a complete mess out of some multipage handouts I volunteered to make. I noticed what a wreak they were the morning I was to deliver them. I stopped in to see if they could help and the employee (who was amazing) figured the mess out , double sided copied everything and made nice booklets ... and it only took a couple of hours. Best of all ... I took full credit and was much appreciated for my efforts . Life was good that day ... very, very good! read more

A few things rubbed me the wrong way about this location and they all have to do with the copy center. First, I get it -- you're busy and you're working on whatever project. We walk up and we're the only people there besides a group of people in the self-copy area. The two girls glance back and then just continue to do whatever, talking amongst themselves, backs turned to us etc. That instantly annoyed me. How much effort does it take, to acknowledge me -- smile, head nod or verbally say we'll be right with you - something. When one of the two girls did come over I explained my friend needed an envelope to return two phone cases to Amazon. She reaches down and pulls out an Express shipping UPS envelope which is going to cost more than the cases in shipping costs (I ship stuff all the time and am pretty familiar with the general rates), but my friend asks for a quote anyway. When I asked if they had other envelopes - the other girl, who at first didn't want to interact with us and wanted to turn her back to us -- all of a sudden wanted to chime in and she tells us they only sell them in larger packs on the floor. The girl tries to input everything into the computer to generate a quote for a label and the system keeps generating an error so her co-worker feels the need to chime in again and tell us where the nearest UPS is -- which I used to live in the area, so I'm familiar. After we walk away I suggest to my friend that she walk the aisles with me because it just seems odd that they only offer packs of envelopes and we hit this one aisle and there's two whole rows of single envelopes and I'm instantly more pissed because how do you work somewhere and not know what you carry? So not only are you terrible at customer service, you also lack product knowledge when it comes to knowing your inventory assortment and the store is NOT that big and working in the copy center with shipments we can't be the first person ever to ask about shipping envelopes (side note: maybe the answer is moving these closer to the shipping supplies area so they're in clear sight with the bubble wrap, etc. next to the copy/shipping center). read more

Do not ever use their printers. Took me over an hour to print two documents. The department employees are zero help and useless. They're full of attitude and probably never have been trained on quality costumer service. Seems like the store is going down the drain and it's probably due to their staff. Never again. read more

worst customer service ever! totally unprofessional. avoid at all cost! can not recommend! ordered a leather chair christmas eve during the daytime, was told it would be delivered thursday. thursday came and went, called friday late afternoon asking where my chair was? after a 10+ minute hold the guy told me his customer service dept. had cancelled my order. hello don't you think you should be calling the customer to tell them you've cancelled their order? now i'm being told i should have a credit by monday at the latest. staples should have credited me immediately as well as call me that they screwed up my order and it wouldn't be delivered! shoddy customer service by all those at staples! perhaps i could have saved some of my aggravation and gotten a chair elsewhere if they had had the decency to let me know of their error asap. now i have no office chair in my office. they didn't even offer to help me locate another chair after i called them to follow up. worst service ever! we won't be back! read more

This Staples is your typical Staples. It seems to have a good stock, the prices are decent, the staff is friendly enough. I just was horrified by the state of the bathrooms! I was in there to purchase a journal as well as some supplies for my office. The bathroom really put me off, I ended up adding hand sanitizer to my purchases! I wont be returning. It looked as if they had not cleaned the toilets or sink in weeks. I wont go into anymore detail. What is really funny is the fact that they stock CLEANING supplies. I'm really disappointed in the poor customer service today. yesterday, I went to the 281/1604 Staples location looking for one of the new Erin Condren planner accessories. A manager asked me if I needed help and when I told her what I was looking for, she said they just got a new Erin Condren shipment and she would look through it for me. She rolled over a big metal ladder and was handing me things off the top shelf that hadn't been stocked yet. After I went through what she handed me and still couldn't find what I was looking for, she went into the back and looked through the boxes from the shipment. They didn't have it. So my husband called the Rim location. They said their shipment would be put out that night and that I should come by tomorrow (today). I went after work, today, and the new stuff still isn't out. I was approached by a sales associate and she asked what I was looking for and I told her what the gentleman had told my husband last night. She said that the new Erin Condren stuff was in the back but that she couldn't check if what I need was in there and I would have to wait until they put the stuff out probably tomorrow. I was looking at a few other items and she approached me again and asked if I needed anything else and when I asked her when they would put the Erin Condren stuff out, she said "to save you the trip... (I foolishly thought she would have good customer service and finish the sentence 'I'll go check for you') you should probably just call and check on Friday morning instead of tomorrow because I don't know when they're going to put it out" no offer to check the boxes for the product I was looking for, no offer to even ASK SOMEONE when the stuff was going to be out! I was already told yesterday night that it would be put out today. Jeez. Compared to the lady at the 281/1604 location yesterday, who went above and beyond to help me, this woman's customer service was horrible. I just visited the Staples store on 1604 and Gold canyon this afternoon. Why aren't there more associates trying to help customers instead of checking their phones and texting? I went in to purchase a desktop and I knew what I wanted, but I could not find them. I had to circle the store until i came to the tables with a bunch of laptops. I looked down and i found 3 desktops underneath the tables. I waited for someone to attend to me, but i was ignored. I asked for assistance, and was told someone would be right with me. A manager came by and said he would be with me shortly. Another manager whizzed by and said Hi, How are things going? and whizzed by, not waiting for an answer. The cashier saw me several times while she was talking to other people, but was not really interested. I think I was there about 15 minutes. No one ever came to assist me, so I left and went to Office Max at Henderson Pass to purchase the same item. By the way, the associates there were very friendly and looked me in the eyes when they spoke to me. The people at Staples didn't have the time. Seems they do not care for the customers, just themselves. So sad, and I used to like that store because one lady would always say hello. Sorry to see me go, Staples. read more
