Had a return today and stood in line (we'll call it Line A) for 10ish minutes only to be told that I needed to wait in another line (let's call it Line B) where the cashier had the proper code to handle my return. I then waited in Line B for 5ish minutes and asked a manager who was walking by if he could process the return, and he said only the cashier in Line B was able to process it. A couple minutes later, by this time I'm fairly pissed, Line A completely empties and the cashier at Line B says "Line A is open sir." where I reply "No, I have a return." where he says "That's fine, he can take care of it." where I promptly reply with some serious 4-letter words directed towards Cashiers A and B and Manager. Will I still go to Staples? Of course. Will I go to this one? Nope. read more

Like majority of these reviews, their copy & print has been hit or miss for quite some years now. I continue to come here because of the convenience and how close to my house it is but there always seems to be an issue. Cynthia was very helpful when I was not satisfied with my print job. She tried her best to accommodate me which made me less frustrated. If she had not been here to help and fix the mistakes I would of left a 1 star review. Thanks Cynthia read more

I love dogs -I own two myself, however , when my mother & my young son went into the Staples at 3861 S Bristol st, SA, she was unable to get to the fax machine because a man using the computer facing the wall had his pit bull stretched across in front of the fax machine blocking access! My little 5 yr old immediately asked if he could pet the dog. My mother said "no." The man without turning to look  at us replied "he's friendly". She had my grandson sit up on the high stool at the desk. The man made no offer to relocate his dog to a different spot to allow access to the fax. Consequently,  She was forced to squeeze herself up against the wall into an awkward position to complete her task. Staples employees did not approach the man and ask him to move the dog out of the way. I guess it was more important for the dog to be comfortable in front of the fax machine then the customer when visiting the store to fax. read more

5 stars for Giselle. 0 stars for the rest of the staff. Giselle was super helpful and knew exactly what she was doing. Unfortunately she was told to take her break and the guy who stepped in to help me had NO IDEA what he was doing. After asking his manager numerous times, I was told I had to wait 15-20 minutes for Giselle to come back from her break so I could have my labels printed. All because no one else is trained to do their job?! I'd give the manager 0 stars as he was communicating with one of his employees over their radio system in front of me and was very rude, demeaning, and basically scolding her in front of me. I'm in a managerial position myself and to do that in front of a customer is extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. read more

Your typical Staples here. Friendly staff with many things to choose from. They have a great print center which doesn't take much time at all. It's never crowded and that I like but I only go here when I need something "right now" otherwise I stick to my online retailers. read more

'Ready to pick up in 1 hour = ship to store' Buyers beware! If you buy an item via 'store pick up: ready in 1 hour', be ready to be boiling at the store. Bought an item in this manner, got to store only to be advised that it has not arrived in the store yet and I should be receiving an email. Hello!! Staples.com states there are 3 in store available for pick up in about an hour. Manager gladly went to storeroom to "look" for the item and has clerk deal with me. They acknowledge the item is available in store, but they would gladly let me take home the item by purchasing it again and canceling the online order. Great customer service everyone! The item qualified for free shipping so why would I bother with the ship to store option? Just wanted item same day. It was available at the time so why not? These robots have forgotten how to think logically. Robotic customer service with no logic, 'have a nice day' says the minion. read more

This place sucks I dont know why i ever go back (only because the UPS store closes so early next door) there was a huge line for printing and UPS and only one person working the counter telling customers she could "maybe" help them if they waited 20mins. Meanwhile three employees (one looked like a manager in a khaki shirt) just standing at the registers watching how busy it was not jumping in to help. Such bad service! The return policy for electronics is only 14 days.. .I did not realise this when I tried to return a paper shredder that was given as a gift. The manager was very rude and said that it did not matter that the shredder did not work.. no exceptions. I had to mail the shredder back to the manufacturer at my expence. I was in need of some desk ornaments: a card holder, a matching desk organizer and stapler etc. Just trying to keep the office swanky. Naturally Staples is the best place to go, and I was able to order online and pick up in the store. A nice matching set of stuff. I recently walked into Staples with my friends and my friends were interested in buying some school supplies. We saw the spotlight spot and sat there while inquiring what it was. A relatively new employee explained to us what it was and he was kind. After The interaction with the first employee, one of the managers abruptly came up to us and asked if we had any questions. We said we didn't have any question because the previous employee had explained it to us yet she continues to explain what the spot was meant for. As she was explaining she kept telling us that it wasn't a hang out spot, but it was for seminars that have to go through corporate. Keep in mind we are all a group of black college students. We were still waiting for other friends to get the items that they need to, so we were just sitting there. As we were looking at the flyers that she constantly insisted we look at, she kept staring at us intensely with intimidation. Wherever we went she followed us. As we went to the register she sTood behind a fixture staring at us. Unfortunately, we were profiled into thinking we weren't there for the right reasons. I was about to leave the Staples store located at 3861 S. Bristol St. Santa Ana, Ca. without a purchase because the store had only Staples brand printing paper. On my way out of the store, Ivan asked if I found what I needed. I expressed my disappointment that I could not find HP printing paper and he said I could order it online from Staples. When I told him I make a lot of mistakes ordering online, he volunteered to help place the order in the store. I was able to pay for the order at the checkout as I do not like using credit cards. Not only was my order shipped to my house for free, but I received it the next day. I am writing this review on Yelp.com because no matter how hard I tried, I could not access https://survey.medallia.com/staples-cares. Terrible service, gave my ipad for repair gave them $140 in upfront & now when I call back after a week they say they got the ipad screen fixed but has a small line on it, and they wanted me to come n look at it and see if that would work. No.... I need my i pad screen fixed as thats what i am paying for... so I now have to wait another 1 week to have it fixed, because they have to send it again to a 3rd party... Visited last night to purchase a few items for my kids, and noticed the manager or assistant manager named Marisol, arguing with a client as it appeared they had charged her regular price for items that were in sale. Although at the beginning it seemed like the client was very calm, the voice of the frustrated manager me the client frustrated also. As I was paying that this year, I noticed the manager told the client, "do you understand what I'm saying to you?" I felt like jumping into the conversation in advising the manager to back up. She was very rude not only to the client but also to the cashier that had originally helped that client, Who appeared to be new and in training and was not sure how to bring up the discounted items. Very unprofessional manager to to the client who simply wanted to get her money back for the discounted items, to the cashier who is new and she was screaming to her in front of all of us, and to us, the other clients who were waiting online to pay for our stuff. No wonder this Store is always so empty; with customer service like this I can see how customers won't come in. I've met with the client outside and asked her to call in the one 800-number. Either find a different Staples location or go to the Office Depot in the same strip mall. The cashier and the manager will treat you like a con artist for using more than 1 coupon and deny the use of them, even when the fine print says otherwise. This store keeps the experience of "walking the customer"(Google it) where they draw you in with promotional offers but in the end make you leave empty-handed. read more
