Worst print location ever. Just needed 6 sheets, and the lady had us wait in line. So we waited while she helped the other 2'customers in front of us, okay cool. However, when 5-6 others lined up behind us, she had the audacity to give us the sheets and tell us to load it ourselves when the machine clearly states to have store employee log in. Went in with my sister to ship some stuff through the UPS. Took the two girls at least 5 mins to help us while they laughed and were chatting. Finally helped us out and weren't helpful at all.. they usually pack the stuff for us and this time they didn't... Wish they were more helpful in that sense they ended up being nice. Fast forward to actually shopping at the store we get to the register and the cashier doesn't greet us she has a stank face on doesn't even make eye contact starts scanning our items and once she's done once again doesn't say anything. My go-to place. See why below. My hard drive got damaged so I took my laptop to a local mobile device spot. You could say a cell spot. I emphasized at least twice that I badly need it fixed because all my personal and work-related files are saved in it. That was before lunch on a Monday. The attendant said I would get a call in 2 hours for an update. He places my laptop on top of other electronic devices by the door. I make a mental note. Two hours came and went but no call. I told myself to give them a pass maybe they're busy. I dropped by in mid-afternoon to check, attendant says no one has looked at my laptop but someone will shortly. I thanked him and left. Three days pass. Zero phone call. I decided to bring it elsewhere so I drop by to pick it up. I'm met by the same attendant. I ask him for an update on my laptop nicely. I see my laptop where he left it three days before. It appears untouched. He says they have not worked on it. He picks it up, hands it to me; I take it from him. I'm fuming inside but I say not a single hurtful word. He says nothing either, not even a half-hearted apology. I drive straight to Staples, where I meet J. Viarney, who, in less than 24 hours, fixes my laptop and rescues all my files into an external drive. Do yourself a favor, whenever you have a laptop needing to be fixed, go to this Staples branch. STOLEN WALLET! 5 STAR Service from Todd in Management Store: 3861 S Bristol St, Santa Ana, CA 92704 I'm writing to express my deepest thanks to Todd, the Store Manager, at the Staples location in Santa Ana, California. Todd went above and beyond to help with an incident that occurred on site on January 14, 2020. Upon my visit to the copy station, a woman stole my wallet. Todd took extra steps to review the cameras, connect with me immediately and encourage me to report my incident to the police, whom he spoke with in person about the incident. While I didn't get my wallet back, I knew what happened to it so that was helpful to my credit card companies and banks. Thank you Todd and to your friendly and helpful staff as well! The store always has what I need and I appreciate the products stocked and faced on the shelves. I hope that you recognize Todd for what he did for me. I would not advise anyone to shop here. I can see why this place has a 2 star rating. I work an an eCommerce business, our shipping scale broke in the middle of the day and we still had to ship out a few dozen packages. We needed one in a pinch, so we decided to order one for in-store pickup from Staples. The name on the card is the business owner's name (who was in a meeting at the time), and so when I arrived even though I had the order confirmation printed out, as well as the physical card in hand(which in most places would have been enough to pick up the order) they refused to let me pick up the package. I said ok, hold on, then I resubmitted a new order right in front of them on my phone, and this time I made sure to put my name in the "Alternate Pick Up Person" field. At this point 1 of 2 things happened, their online system either replaced my name with the billing name (which needs to seriously be fixed if this is the case), or the cashier manually switched it in their system so I wouldn't be able to pick up the package out of spite. So again, since "my name was not on the order" I was not allowed to pick up the package. Do you really think I am going to walk into a Staples with a stolen credit card and my ID and place it on the counter to order a freaking shipping scale? I refused to make a 3rd attempt at placing an order. At this point, I was fed up and had already wasted close to 30 minutes when we urgently had orders that need to be shipped out. These customers will now all be getting their packages late thanks to Staples. What the cashier doesn't know is that my business purchases thousands of dollars of products from Staples every year and we will now be taking our business elsewhere. In the age of Amazon, they should really learn a thing or two about customer service. read more

I came in needing an office for my girlfriend to work from home and we found one, however we needed assistance being it looked out of stock. So I found help and this guy at first seemed helpful but also complained a lot. Once he figured out the chair we wanted was out and the display was the last one we asked if we could buy it, he said no we don't sell the displays. I asked could ask the manager and he talked poorly about his manager and continued to say he won't do it either and I asked never hurts to ask. When he did ask he said his manager said No not when there are multiples still. We were annoyed because not once did the employee state that that was the last chair in stock and on sale. In my experience in retail/customer service the model is being phased out and more than likely they won't get more in but even so they could have made the customer happy and made a sale. When the next shipment came in made a new display and all sides would have been happy. Overall though poor customer service and the employees don't respect their management or act professional around customers. read more

Went here to take advantage of the chair event and found one for a good price! The reason for the bad review was the service I got. When I asked for a specific chair the worker named Mike gave me an attitude when he said "there's the box." First of all the display box looked like it was previously opened so I didn't want that one. Then he didn't offer to assist in putting the chair in the cart like what previous workers have offered to do. The box was too big for me to grip and place in the cart and he just stood there watching. Luckily someone else offered to help me load the box onto the chair. Most of the employees here are nice, but this experience left a sour impression and I probably won't be coming back here unless I have to. Just horrible. It took me 30 minutes just to print out 4 pieces of paper from their machine. I asked Karen for help and she started giving me attitude. What the hell? I get the basics- how boats float, planes fly, and why a desk that weighs 50lbs assembled weighs approximately 5,491lbs in the box. But it pisses me off to no end. Well, with any purchase over $50, Staples will lug that stuff right into your pad. For Free. Usually next day, sometimes sooner. Outstanding. Back to handy: They stock a furniture line called ZLine. Sturdy, attractive, well-constructed for the price, blah blah blah. Open 3 ton box, spread stuff all over the living room. Find always dreaded bag o' hardware. What's this?!? The bag is divided and labeled by part, in order of use. Shut Up! While never intimidated by self-assembly furniture, this stuff is idiot proof. How is it that one can buy a HP printer from Staples but when it's time to get a new toner, nobody at this Staples location has "ever even heard of that toner part number"? The answer is simple, NO ONE CARES HERE enough to check. Was in here last night and I was struck by how there was 6 employees and one customer in the store. When I asked where I could find this particular toner, I got the above response. Sales clerk who told me this didn't bother to look into finding it, 2 store managers kept carrying on their conversation while I spent a couple of minutes looking. Finally walked out and went to Office Depot next door. They were very helpful and I got my toner immediately. Always wondered if one (Office Depot vs. Staples) was better than the other. My laser printer went ape sh** on me during finals. I frantically searched Best Buy, Fry's, and stumbled on this place. Online, they had an easy site that let me check availability in the stores. There was a great Brother laser printer I found for $50 and called the store to verify if they had one. The guy who took my call found the printer, checked the price, and set it aside for me. I came in 15 minutes later, and he had it ready. When I asked if there were any other deals that I didn't know about, he asked the tech guy to verify and showed me two other printers that were hot on the deals list. I stuck to my choice, and found out at the register that I could get a labeler for $7 bucks when i buy a printer. Great! The insurance was $7 for 2 years. Since I go through printers quite fast because of my insane printing and multiple computers that connect to it, it seems like a good investment. I appreciate great service, especially when I'm hyperventilating. read more

11/23/12 Yes I'm here on Black Friday to print stuff for a deadline...if u ever need help ask for July!! She is the BEST! So my boss had many projects that had to be done and on a plane with him the next day. It came down to running it all over to Staples where I met July, a Godsend from Heaven in the Print-Copy Center!! She was detail oriented and knew her way around a computer and printers. And lets just say my projects and manuals were no cakewalk and she delivered! Her service and demeanor was above and beyond what I expected from them, and she was so genuinely nice!! This is going to be a scathing review. I will probably never come back here again. This store reeks of mismanagement. As soon as you step into the store there's that peculiar air that not all the screws are in place to run the store properly. Sales reps are looking to managers, managers are looking at the first opportunity to get away from you (probably in the backroom office doing who-knows-what for 15 minutes for a simple question you asked them). If you need something done there you're going to have to: 1) talk straight 2) in clear and uncertain terms 3) and be succinct Don't expect anything else from the management here elsewise their eyes will just glaze over and look for something else to do in the store; like hide in the backroom office or something. The sales reps are cool. It's just the management. Chad (store manager), Denise (assistant manager), Eulogio (seems to be The Tech Guy) are, in my opinion, really bad people to come across in business. I would never want to engage in any kind of direct business with them. (The Copy Center seems like it spins on different wheels than the retail-side of the store. I won't speak to them, and it seems from other reviews they're legit... just avoid the retail-side if you can't find a WalMart/Target/whatever nearby.) read more

After the first attempt failed, Danielle asked me if I could change the format, but when I explained to her that I don't know how, she very calmly walked me through the steps needed to print the documents. She did this with kindness and with a smile, and even helped 2 other customers at the same time! I will always go back to this store for my printing needs. Worst customer service ever! I tried enlarging pictures here & it seemed like they just didn't want to help anyone. Another customer was there and left mad because they kept insisting that she needed all pics in a usb drive or what so ever. Anyways I tried enlarging pics they told me I couldn't be going thru each one on there computer to let them know which one I wanted that I needed the # of the pics ready and that she didn't recommend the 1 hr ready I was okay with it left to go get the # of the pics. Came back started asking the lady that was there about the pictures she totally ignored me and was on her phone. I ended up gettting very mad left and went to Office Depot there they let me use there computer even let me edit the pics when at staples they charge $1 every minute to edit the pictures. And got my pics in less than 10 mins. Definitely will never go back to staples after this worst customer service. Employees are just lazy to do the work and make up any excuse. read more

I walked in to this staples location on 4/6/22 at 8:05am walked out at 8:45Am Carmen the store a manger really was not helpful I was simply trying to return an item purchased online since I initiated the return online I had print out a label Carmen instructed me print the label there never mentioned there was a charge and simply pointed me copy center instead of maybe walking me thru process. The young lady on copy center also very rude told me wasn't able to print out the email the store manager requested me print, she wanted me to UPS next door and print label. Took the store manager like 5min or more to print out label and never came back to let me know was done or offer an apology. She had the cashier Rick talk to me. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE! Yes, I have been going in this store since they opened, over 20 years ago. Many helpful clerks over the years. Today, WOW! waiting for over 14 minutes for someone to even answer the phone to get a quote on computer repair. Then, she said she would get right back to me with tech support dollar amount. ANOTHER 18 minutes on hold. GEEZ, WHAT happened to customer care, or customer appreciation. Is the customer the ENEMY here. I recently bought an office chair from here with the box open, and as soon as I was ready to put the arms on....that's when I discovered which part was missing... DOH. I was dreading the thought of having to disassemble it. But the manager was extremely understanding and told me I could have the arms from the display model, since mine was the last one. This staples location is very unprofessional. I went in yesterday 10/02/17 around noon to purchase a chair for my office. I decided to pay for the assembly fee to save myself some time. I was rang up by the manager and he said it would take 1-2 hours to get the service completed. I decided to pick it up the following morning to give them more time. I arrive the next day and I am told that the chair hasn't been assembled. As I see the girl looking around for the chair I see the box left in the same position where the manager had left it. She called the manager to notify him the chair was never assembled so he showed up and told me it couldn't be assembled because they were really busy. I don't know why he would give false information because he was irresponsible. They were not busy both of the times I entered the store. This location needs better management!!! read more

I used to love shopping at Staples. After the customer experience today, it's horrible!! Staples needs to have a better return policy otherwise their business will eventually close soon. They already have several locations closed, and I am praying for the better, "hopefully". What type of return policy is without a receipt your merchandise you bought worth a piece of Sh*t. It tells me that they buy their merchandise elsewhere for only a buck or two and market up to 60% in retail. After today, no more Staples. The wait at the print shop is long even if there's only one person ahead of you. Been there 3 times this week and I had to wait at least 20 minutes each time. My order was not done on time which is the only reason I was back a 3rd time. I was not satisfied with my order, I ended up going to Fedex a few doors down and having them fix my book. i come here on a regular basis when i need to make a lot photocopies and have to say service is just alright here =\ the lady usually in charge of this department is nice but isn't always attentive or even around for questions or help with paper jams and such things. payment is via pre-paid card or credit card and can be confusing for first timers and particular for older customers. i've personally helped over a dozen people with the self-service machines here cos no staples employee was around to help them. also there are only 2 black and white copy machines which can be very inconvenient especially when there's a few people anxiously waiting to take care of their business. and BEWARE of the one color machine which can easily be mistaken for a black and white copy machine and rack-up charges...it's happen to me and a few people i've seen there read more
