Order take out/pickup from Star all the time! The staff is polite and helpful. Pizza is always hot and fresh Go to is the margherita pizza which is COVERED in basil. They don't skimp on the ingredients at all. New York style is the way to go here in my opinion! read more

Been waiting to try Star Pizza and today we stopped after church. Pizza was really good and so was the service.

The family and I went tonight (12/13/2018) while the store is still operating under their soft opening. It's no Chicago thin crust (yes I'm from Chi), I must say it is one of the better pies we've had since moving to Texas. So nice to see that they actually brown the cheese a little...something that adds tons of flavor, but most Texas pizza joints can't seem to accomplish. The cheese was plentiful and high quality too, so kudos there too. They don't serve beer or wine but they do allow byob. Nice place. I'll be back [said in my Schwarzenegger voice]. read more

Great pizza! I have never been to the Star Pizzas in town, so I didn't have any expectations that many other reviewers seemed to have. The Chicago style pizza crust here is great! Too often, when you eat a Chicago style pizza, the sheer volume of toppings and crust makes you feel disgusting. Not here! The crust was thick, yet perfectly airy (if that makes sense). You can order customized slices of pizza too. The price is totally reasonable for the quality of the pizza, so I would recommend anyone in the Katy area try it out! read more

So I literally got there at 8:35 PM. Look for the guy with the big ass beard walking in. I drove all the way from near Tomball to get this pizza. When I walked in, they told me they were closed five minutes earlier. That's my bad. However, I from Illinois and at no time would any pizza restaurant ever turn a customer away five minutes late. So let me tell you about the Domino's around the corner, the dominoes was amazing. It's probably the best Domino's Pizza I've had ever while being here in the Houston area. I went out of my way for a Chicago pie and ended up with a Domino's Pizza, that i was extremely delighted with. If anybody is in cinco ranch area, the dominoes pizza is amazing. I can't begin to encourage anybody to go to dominoes. It was amazing. I'm sure the Chicago pie would have been good, but they were more intent on closing five minutes after their advertised time. Heard a lot of good things about Star so we were anxious to try it. Price is reasonable. I like the sauce, could taste the italian seasoning. The ingredients we ordered italian sausage, mushrooms and olives were fairly mite in flavor. The dough wasn't anything special and defiantly not NY crust. Ordered double marinara on Ben's pizza for takeout before going to movies--even received a phone call to confirm. Got home with pizza & started eating, no sauce or if there was it was the watered-down pizza variety, not marinara. Pulled toppings back on 2 slices--see photo. The kids' regular pepperoni had plenty of sauce. Called the restaurant--he checked with kitchen who said they put "a lot of marinara" on the pizza. Said he'd take back the pizza to show his kitchen but we need to get to movie--I just won't order from here again. read more

We have been eating Star PIzza in Houston for years. My family was looking to treat ourselves to our favorite Deep dish wheat crust pizza. I called in and ordered 2 deep dish wheat crust pizza's. We made the 20 min drive from Cypress to katy only to find out that the cashier who took my order had written up 1 deep dish and 1 Brooklyn style pizza. When I voiced that the order was wrong, "Monica" literally berated me and very defensively stated that she always repeats the order. Which she did. And when she repeated the order I explicitly corrected her and said NO. Both Deep dish. Very disappointing. We love Star Pizza. BTW. The pizza for this order was not the best Star Pizza we've had. I will probably order Star again. Just not this location. read more

This pizza is SO FLIPPIN GOOD, and let me tell you why. I introduced this place to my husband about a year ago after I had been to their Houston location years back and STILL remembered them. That's where I went wrong, he LOVES STAR PIZZA SO MUCH that I had to bring home the Chicago Starburst from Katy TO SPRING. And THIS IS WHY THEY'RE SO GOOD... I drove that puppy 35 minutes ACROSS Houston (possibly going 85, that's not the point) and when I got home the pizza was STILL HOT and tasted amazing as per usual. Can you order any other pizza, take it 35 minutes across town and still serve it to your man child of a husband HOT?! I.think.not. My point? Try their pizza, you won't regret it. Tip?
