I have taken several vehicles to this shop over the last 5 years. Always the best and always the most affordable. I had taken my Honda there in August and it was quick, easy and convenient and they were very nice people. Fast forward 5 months...Price has gone up more than $20 a vehicle, they were rude on the phone, and they recommended I check out their website. Done and done... I recommended this shop to so many people for their fast courteous and affordable service. I have found numerous shops that are less expensive, quicker and made the appointment over the phone. Sorry but I will not recommend this to anyone or patronize it myself. I made an appointment for a smog test through their website a week prior to coming and received a confirmation email. I included my car's year, make, and model. When I arrived, the desk clerk said their smog machine for cars of a certain year wasn't working and I should have received a call. I never did. No apologies from the desk clerk. I rearranged my schedule to get to the appointment and my smog test was due in a few weeks. They earned one star because the desk clerk recommended Walnut Creek Smog, who were kind enough to take me later that day. Very unprofessional customer service. read more

I took by car there for a required check. I had scheduled it on line, and they got the car in and out in 20 minutes. Their website also offered a reduced price. I didn't get it for the exact price quoted on the website, but it was less than the established price and less than most other places. They were easy to work with. read more

This place has changed. They don't honor coupons and have expired coupons on website. Also they charged double the standard for smog fee $100 bucks. The guy failed the car instead of connecting his machine to see it will pass then said oh you need to drive car around to reset car computer charged 70 bucks and another 30 bucks to retest. What a joke. They use the excuse that everything has gone up to justify their crazy fees. I was an 8yr customer but no more. The owner is out of his mind. They are not very honorable business practices no more. The place also is very stuffy and the new employees are not very understanding or customer friendly. When I went online they advertised that it's a $29.75 service. The moment I showed up I realized it's a $70 smog check. Went to Walnut Creek location on Parkside and the the man at the desk spoke to me condescendingly for not realizing the terms. Just try to get the "coupon." Undoable. So, be prepared to pay $70. Which would be fine if the web site advertised as such. And a more polite approach would help. I also now see that every time a bad review is posted, Ann D. comes back defensively, and often exhibits the same condescension I experienced on site, rather than learning anything from her customers. read more

I have been coming here for 4 years to have our Porshe Boxter smoged. Today I waited for almost an hour to find out that the guy who now does the smog doesn't know how to smog a Porshe Boxter He was trying to figure out how to access the engine, said he didn't have time to try and figure it out....... This review is for their customer service and person who answers the phone (manager?) We had our car smogged and only went to this location because of a deal they had going $29.75. My partner just got home, and realized he didn't give them the coupon- he paid $80. I called and asked if there was any way we could get that price of the promo instead. The manager or Front desk woman was very rude and defensive and made it clear it's not a "promo" it's a "coupon"- totally not the point of my call. I asked if they could cancel the transaction and charge the coupons price instead. She said no , there's nothing they could do To honor that price. Okay, fine our fault. But the fact that she wasn't willing to help a customer out, being that he literally just left their business less then an hour ago and on top of that, gave me attitude for asking is crazy. Because of these good experiences, I wanted to bring them my business for an oil change, so I made an online appointment to do so. When I showed up for the service, I was informed that the Technician didn't show up, so sorry, no service.
