Starbarks is now my go to groomers, hands down. My Yorkie has traditionally gone to a popular groomers in Hoboken but they became increasingly inconsistent in their work quality and unreliable. After searching on Yelp I came across Starbarks and finally found a winner. Believe in their reviews--they know what they're doing! I I called to try to get my dog in the same day but they were already booked so I took an appt for a few days later. They seem to be against overbooking which is good. Their shop is modest but clean. The owner/groomer is kind and takes their time with you. When I had trouble explaining the type of cut I wanted, they pulled up a massive photo library of photos of dog they groomed on their computer and helped me to narrow it down. They told me it would take an hour to an hour and a half to complete, but within an hour they sent a text and told me my little boy was ready! So they are very efficient. When I got him he was groomed EXACTLY like how I wanted and pictured in my head. I was so nervous they would only half listen to my request like other groomers but they did every-single-thing I asked. My dog is also very friendly but fearful of many things, so I was scared they would have trouble with him. Thankfully they knew how to handle him and were tender from the very beginning. Generally speaking on my dog's style, he got a puppy cut with ears and tail kept long, and shaped/tapered. Not only did everything come out fantastic but their prices are SO much better than any of the other groomers in the area and MUCH closer to my house. THAT'S the type of experience I expect and appreciate! I will only be coming here for now on for my dog. Thank you Starbarks! read more

I've been trying to find a good groomer ever since l moved to this aria and I think this is it! I took my cute little Bella here for a wash/dry about one year ago and sense then never been disappointed! Every time she came out looking like a movie star! When she came here, they let her go over to sniff the staff and It was awesome to see her trying to pick some nice sweaters and dress. The best grooming experience in bergen county!!! I have a Pomeranian and i used to groom him myself because i couldn't find a place that does a good job, yet clean and affordable. Starbarks was suggested to me by my friend, who took her little Maltese to this place. This place was great! My dog was away with a relative for a while and when I got him back his hair was tangled and a mess. I researched some groomers and ran across Starbarks. I was nervous at first because I knew they would have to shave his hair all off in order to get the tangled hairs out. I have a small YorkiePoo and I usually get him a haircut like a Yorkie. Alexander understood my concerns and explained to me that they would have to shave him but they would make sure it works. After about an Hour & A Half I picked him up and he looked amazing! I had seen the shop in the neighborhood and decided to stop in during a morning walk with my 7 month old Maltepoo, Alfie. I explained what I wanted and asked when they could groom Alfie and they said they could take him right away. Very pleasant and friendly. The store is very well kept and you can view the grooming area from the store. There is also a seating area if you wished to stay and wait. Since it was in the neighborhood, I decided to come back. Alfie was done within 1 1/2 hours. When I arrived to pick him up, Alfie seemed comfortable and relaxed as he was freely walking around the gated (and safe) area in the back. He was groomed exactly as I had asked and the fee was average compared to what I have paid for dog grooming in the area in the past. A very pleasant experience for me and a non-stressful one for Alfie. I will definitely be returning. read more

Ive been bringing my dog here for about a year, My yorkie Bella is a super anxious dog. Many places have denied grooming my dog because she was too anxious and other places will groom her but for over 100. This place is a secret little gem! I've been in the neighborhood for over 2 years and just found out about this place by accident. Inside the store/salon smells and looks super clean. I have been living in the area for over a year and was desperately in need of an expert groomer for my 11 year old Lab, Haze. It had been difficult finding the right one. The atmosphere had to be just right, as well as overall disposition of the Groomer to deal with my grandpuppy. Had gone to another groomer in the area and not only was the place horrific and the attitude of the people inside was just as bad. The moment I walked in Starbarks, which is a great name to state the least, I got quality service as one would expect given the name punt. Upon returning to pick Haze, I noticed she was most playful and moving about the beautifully decorated place. I am most thankful to have found this place which has great prices and most importantly, even better treatment to animals.
