They did a great job with grooming my dog. She smelled very clean and they even put this cute Christmas bandana on her. It was $160 total + tip for 10min de shedding, teeth cleaning, nail file, and paw shaving. I am very happy with the service and will be returning. It seems that a lot of the negative reviews on here are misleading because I thought the staff was pleasant and nice! I absolutely love this place and will be heartbroken when we move out of the area. All the staff members are so welcoming to my dog Opie and they have been very accommodating at times when he needed special care, with medication or anxiety. Everyone from Andrea to the overnight staff is the best. If anyone is reading this after having a negative experience I encourage you to just talk it out with the staff, they are understanding and deserve some credit for making it through the last year with the pandemic. Honestly this is a great home away from home for our little dog. He absolutely LOVES the team and gets so excited the second he enters the place whether it's for daycare when we were at work or for boarding. 2019 was a challenging year for my husband and I with two terminally ill parents, one in France and the other in Colorado. PI PAWS was a complete lifesaver for us that took great care of our dog for the many times we had to travel to see our respective parents. They even took him to the vet when he was having breathing issues and we were oversea to be with my dad! They gave us updates when we were gone for weeks and Andrea (who is amazing) has always ensured our little guy was healthy and well taken care of. I fully trust PI PAWS to take care of our dog and am grateful to them and the entire team for their care and presence during extremely challenging times for us. Really bad grooming appointment experience. I know PI paws don't even care about losing one customer cause it's normal to book the grooming appointment one month ahead of time. Customer never receives any form of written/email telling you your appointment time and the only confirmation is a call from their staff. I got this call 2 days before my appointment which was made 1 month before and I said clearly in the call "2:30 Friday confirmed". No one corrected me. It ended up with being charged 50% of the entire grooming fee as a penalty due to no show at 12:30. All of my previous experience was at least a call before being charged the "no show fee" (I was told and confirmed the appointment was 2:30 in the call). I am living very very close to PI paws and I could run there to avoid the "no show fee" if I could receive a call from someone there. But they just waited and did nothing and charged the fee. read more

Staff is argumentative and rude. My girlfriend and I left our dog here who they told humped too much to be in daycare, but they have a large room they use they told us. We go to three different day cares and he's never had one single issue before which should have been our first red flag. My girlfriend said under no circumstance she wants our small dog with large dogs. But given they wouldn't let him around any dog we thought there would be no issue. She picked him up and he was left without supervision with a large dog. Also they charged her a separation fee they didn't mention but the dog wasn't kept separate so we didn't even get what we "paid for" which again was charged without telling us. Also receptionist told us late pick up was $15 and we were charged $30 and the manager said when she called well if you come back just know that it's $30 my girlfriend said I won't be returning but you can refund me for your receptionist giving me wrong information and she refused. You just lost a customer over sneakily charging us $25 dollars. Great job and great management. Will never return and will advise anyone to steer clear. read more

I would just like to address the commnent from Wendy. Not once did PI Paws attempt to contact me after my final conversation with Kate. No phone call was unanswered and no messages were unreturend. Interesting how Wendy says I did not return "multiple attempts at contact" when she never initiated any. I will not stand for an attack on my integrity by someone that never even met me and who NEVER attempted to conact me personally. Yes, they dragged my dog by the collar across the floor. A female employee whose face was not seen on camera was the one who did it. Again, since Kate or Wendy were not there, they can't say it didn't happen. Since they either won't, or won't admit to, rolling the tape back and watching the footage, the only people who know the truth are the person who dragged Murphy across the floor, or the 4 people that watched it happen on the puppy cam. I am not saying they viciously attacked my dog, I am saying they used forece when it wasn't necessary. Murphy survived, obviously, but it doesn't make what they did right. As they are encouraging you to come visit during a busy pick up time to see for yourself, I highly suggest just calling and asking for the code to the web cam to watch for yourself. Marketing of this being a "luxury doggie daycare" is incorrect and grossly misleading. It is anything but. I'm rating the low quality of services provided one star, but wish that I could rate their knowledge and customer service skills as negative stars. While using their daycare services for my puppy, I noticed that once he was neutered and allowed to play with other pups during the day that he reeked of urine when I'd pick him up. When I asked about this, I was told it must have been "wet dog smell" and that I'd need to request that he be wiped down every day prior to pick up if I wanted this service. Most other doggie daycares offer this as part of the service, being especially mindful of doggie play, potential spread of germs and allergies to other dogs. And to be clear: it was urine; I know the difference! One evening I came to pick him up, I could see that he was left in an unattended room, begging at the door to be let out. When I asked about this, I was told the room was indeed attended; even though I had full view of the room with no attendant. My pup, who is very social and friendly also started to resist going into the facility after a few days. Their website advertised doggie cams that were not in service the entire time, so who knows what other lack of care my puppy received while there. When I asked when cameras would be restored, I was fed an excuse about lack of funds to make the necessary repairs. Hardly "luxury" or an indicator of proper business management or upkeep. Lastly, when I requested a refund for unused services, I had to chase a response and was then only refunded a small percentage of monies owed. When I asked why, I was given an answer that was just poor arithmetic. When I questioned that, I basically told that I should be thankful I got any of my money back. You'd be better served going with other local doggie daycare providers such as DogTopia or Camp Bow Wow. At least then you have reassurance that your dog is being properly cared for (and their services come with WORKING doggie cams!!). P.I. 3 strikes and you're out, P. I. Paws. I boarded my three dogs here, and have been frustrated every time. First time they forgot to return one of my dog's prescription food and we were home when we noticed it and had to go back and get it. Frustrating but I was willing to look past it. Next time I boarded two of them for a weekend and they were only there for two days and my big dog (Samoyed) came back smelling awful like BLEACH AND URINE. It was disgusting and to have him bathed would be $100. Ridiculous as they were the reason he smelled like that. I will also say I saw a puddle of urine in their back room off to the right and my dogs leashes very close to it, I washed everything used there when I got home ASAP. (My dogs are: Samoyed,6; Jack Russell,14; and Maltese,17) I try not to board my Maltese bc I am very protective of him, he also takes a prescription pill for his heart condition every day and I never know if I can trust kennels to give the medicine. The last time I boarded my dogs I had the Maltese there for 3 days and the other two for 6 days. When my husband picked up our Maltese, I assumed he would be returned with his food and most importantly HIS MEDICATION. P.I. Paws forgot to return my 17 year old dog's heart medication!!!! This is so beyond UNACCEPTABLE. I was in Canada and my husband had already driven down the shore with him and it was over 2 hours away, there was no way he could get the medication without ruining the entire weekend. I was beyond upset, how could a kennel forget to return a 17 year old dog's medication?! There is never a manager on duty there so I had to wait for a phone call, I got an apology but really nothing done about it and I have NO confidence that my dog was even given his medication in the first place after seeing how completely UNORGANIZED that place is. The last and final strike came when I got the bill. I will say they didn't even have my correct email address even though I made sure to spell it out and everything. So when I made sure they had the correct address and got the bill I saw I was OVERCHARGED, they charged me 7 days when they were only there 6 and then there was a big price jump from the total (they later told me it was for my Maltese, with some excuse about their computer system being confused because one dog was picked up before the others) but it was very confusing, not itemized and still charged an extra day. I called up and again, no manager so I had to get called back and was told that I was indeed overcharged and they were putting a "credit" back on my account. This was the WRONG wording. You're not issuing me a credit like you are giving me a courtesy, you're giving me a REFUND for the amount I was overcharged. As a dog mom who loves her fur babies and a responsible member of the pet owning community I WOULD NOT recommend anyone bringing their dogs here. ESPECIALLY if they are a type who cost a lot to be groomed (bc they will come home smelling disgusting with matted up fur), on a prescription diet, senior, or on ANY medication. They told me it's empty on weekends and they would leave him in a seperate room - wasn't too happy but agreed. Was told it would be daycare 45$ plus 15$ fee if picked up after 11pm but before 330 am. Was also told I could drop him off at 8am but was told the day before they changed hours to 9am. Picked him up at 11:15 and another dog was in the room, asked for a receipt the man working said they would call me in the morning to charge my card. Charged me an additional $25 when I called to ask they said the fee is now $30 after 11pm and there is a 10$ separation charge was never told and now they are avoiding my calls and refusing to credit my card. Marina is an amazing professional. She does an excellent job and most importantly she is very caring and attentive. I have a Shitsu female which I'm working on her hair to grow as a show dog. Marina spent all the time texting me pictures to make sure that was exactly what I was looking for. We decided to give their grooming services a try and definitely regretted it. The haircut was fine but totally overpriced and not worth it. The reason for the poor review is because of how I believe they treated my dog. I mentioned he had sensitive skin and to please use an oatmeal shampoo to avoid issues but he reeked of perfume for days. I also asked that he be kept separately from other dogs because he's scared of dogs and will be stressed out. I can't say for certain how they treated him but when we got him back, he was shaking and peed on us in the car - something he has never done. He was also depressed for days, moping and not playing - again something he's never done post-grooming. For all I know he was just stressed out about being in a place that had so many dogs barking all day but either way, he didn't have a good experience and we won't be returning. read more

I strongly urge P.I. Paws to retrain their staff and rethink their entire approach to the way in which they interact with customers, particularly potential new clients. We've tried to give business to PI Paws on 3 separate occasions and each time the interaction with their staff was haphazard, lacking in reliable information, and we came away feeling as though we couldn't trust them with our dogs. 3 pieces of advice I'd give them are: 1) When answering the phone, a mere, "Hello?" is insufficient. "Hello, P.I. Paws, may I help you?" is suggested. 2) Quote your grooming rates up front. When we inquired, we were told we'd have to come back on a day when the groomer was present. I understand adjustments might be made based on the dog's size and disposition, but please provide a baseline. 3) Get everyone on the same page. We were given criteria for daycare that differ from what's listed on the website. This is meant as constructive criticism, not an attack. The staffers we met all seemed basically pleasant, but they need to be substantially more on-point with their information and their client interactions. read more

I have to disagree with the negative reviews on here! I took my multipoo, Augie, here for the first time in December. He was cared for all day by their great staff and he even received his first grooming. We dropped Augie off at 7:30AM. This was Augies first experience leaving his mom and dad, but the PI Paws staff went to great lengths to make him feel comfortable! Augie was scheduled for a grooming at 2:30 and the staff went above and beyond to keep me informed on the status of his grooming. I asked them to use their best judgement in regards to his haircut. *** Side note: I do have to say that I neglected his grooming as we tried to groom him ourselves. Major failure!*** Carol refused to just shave Augie down. Carol and her staff took the time to demat him and to make his first grooming experience a pleasant one. Augie looks as cute as a button! When I came to pick Augie up at around 6:30PM he was in the play room having a wonderful time with all the other dogs. When it came to pay I was expecting our bill to be outrageous! I was happily surprised to hear it was only going to cost $100.00! All day doggie day care and a wonderful haircut! Yes please! We got Augie home and he was exhausted from all of the days activities! There is no other place I trust with my precious baby, Gracie. From the first time I sent her to this establishment, I knew that it was the right choice. I had never left my dog anywhere overnight and was INCREDIBLY anxious. They answered my emails and phone calls and reassured me that Gracie was doing great and having a fun time. They sent me pictures and videos of her playing, and gave me updates as to how she was doing, whether she was eating or not etc. They have 24 hour care which makes me feel extremely comfortable when I have to board her. She attends daycare there 3-4x / week and always comes home happy, fed and tired! She basically rips my arm off to get inside the door when I drop her off, and IMMEDIATELY goes belly up for rubs from the staff! They really take the time to learn the dogs and their personalities. They know if Gracie (who is half yellow lab, half golden retriever) gets too rambunctious, they remove her from the play room and give her 5 minutes to calm down and collect herself. This means the WORLD to me. They ALL handle her personality and behavior in such a knowledgeable and compassionate way. The groomer is phenomenal, Gracie always comes out smelling great, de-shedded (where they brush out her undercoat) and her fur blown out. I could go on, and on, but if you're looking for a place to send your dog where they'll get tons of love, be looked after, played with, groomed etc, this is the place. We used Pipaws for the first time when we visited with friends over Labor Day weekend. The staff were great! Within minutes of arriving, my dog couldn't wait to get into the playroom! I watched on the webcam and saw them playing and cuddling with her. They were also super accommodating when I had to pick Lucy up after closing. Our lil guy has been staying at pi paws form 9 - 8 Monday - Fridays and he absolutely loves it. How do i know? They install web cameras so we can check in with our pup and make sure he's happy and well attended to! The dogs are divided into small, medium, and/or large groups so that all of the dogs are in comfortable, non intimidating environments. Each room has an attendee who plays and watches the dogs, to make sure they are safe and not fighting (or humping) each other. When I miss my dog or just want to check-in, I just log on to the web cam and can watch him playing with the others! Dropping / picking up the dog is very efficient, which we appreciate since we're usually running to catch the ferry to the city, or tired from a long day. Finally, when we pick up our pup he is so happy and exhausted the rest of the night is a BREEZE ;) We hope to continue to use pipaws and eventually have our dog attend 3 days a week (vs. 5). read more

I just brought both my dogs to PI Paws for 5 days. One of my boys has some real bad allergies and need a lot of special care, he gets pills twice a day and needs his paws wiped with a baby wipe after walks and before bed. If this doesn't happen, he gets and infection on the pads of his paws, and I so very happy to say when he got home today his paws looked great. I am very surprised by the two low reviews. Every-time I have been there (only 4 occasions so far) the staff have been either playing with the dogs or cleaning up after them. I also checked in on them via their web cam (more times then I care to admit) and each time was the same. I highly recommend them to all my fellow dog owners. 11/3/17 UPDATE: Staff members continue to argue and harass my wife and I via social media because we shared our experience and opinions about PI Paws. Truly unprofessional and very disconcerting behavior. One staff member, Timour, badmouthed me personally on my company's Google page. I assume this is an effort to get revenge for me expressing my opinion on my experience with PI Paws. Pros: They're good at grooming dogs Conveniently located Cons: EXPENSIVE! They never provided a quote. ($300 to cut my goldendoodle's hair/$250 before matting fee). It is on me for not asking for the price beforehand but I assumed it was around market rate for a dog like mine ($125-$150). And since they are twice as expensive as most groomers they should be better about communicating that to the customer beforehand. They do a poor job of communicating how long it will take. Was told my dog would be done between 12-1pm but he wasn't ready until 5:30pm. Why did it take 5 hours longer than expected? A good cut likely takes awhile but (like the price quote) it sure would be nice to have a better idea of when my dog will be ready. I don't think she realizes it but the groomer is a bit rude. She told me I instructed them via email to "leave the ears" which is why they left them a bit longer. I told her I did not email that and was happy to show her the email again but she wanted to argue. They also did a poor job of following other emailed instructions: I specifically said "not bushy tail" (it is), shorter snout (it's not). I'd rather have a less-than-perfect cut than to have to go back and argue with her again. Pro tip: Don't argue with customers when they are expressing their opinions. Listening to your customer feedback allows you to improve your service. Considering the exorbitant price paid one would think the owners/groomers would be less argumentative. read more

My puppy Ralph spent a week here playing and being well taken care of while I looked for a pet friendly home for us. They have drop cams in the play rooms so I could check in on him anytime during the day from my phone. When the time came to pick him up and I was short on the full boarding cost they were extremely understanding and accommodating. Both of my dogs have stayed here overnight and for daycare. My corgi Bella often has a better time at PI Paws than I do visiting relatives. I know this because I see the pictures they publish on facebook and I check in on the webcams occasionally. She's clearly having a blast. Pet owners often feel guilty about the thought of boarding their animals, myself included. After my PI Paws experience, I no longer feel this way, it's actually a treat for them to be in a different environment socializing with other dogs. Luxury?? We just walked in there to find out about their daycare program and were shocked to see how small the dog area was. There were dogs of all sizes in one main room standing around bc there was no room for them to play/run, while a man with a wet mop walked back and forth in the small room cleaning. They said they were slow at the moment and usually the small dogs were in the other room. There was one person working the front desk while the guy cleaned and I can't imagine what a busy time would be if the dogs already looked crowded in the one area. We boarded our 2 Yorkies here last month. We loved our kennel, but this was closer to our apartment. They offer a feature using the drop cam ap and honestly, they shouldn't. It only made me more nervous as I was watching. First, it took 3 emails and a phone call to even have someone send me a confirmation to connect to the drop cam. When I was finally hooked up, my 2 dogs were in a room all by themselves with no supervision. They looked so sad and we're just staring at the door. It made me extremely nervous and I actually couldn't stop watching to see if someone was finally going to come in and play with them. Second, while there, one of my dogs apparently got into the trash and ate a piece of chicken. I wouldn't have even known this if I hadn't called to check on my boys. It was never explained to me why my dog even had access to a trash can or why an employee wasn't paying better attention to the situation. Lastly, we made a late pick up, so we were told the computer system was down and they would call us the next day with the breakdown and total. No one ever called and days later we saw a charge for over $500. Who knows if we were charged correctly or not. I mean, we calculated it ourselves, but the professional thing to do would be to call and explain exactly what and why all fees/ charges were. This review is for overnight boarding. I had my eye on using P.I. Paws before I adopted my rescue pup, as I knew I would probably need to utilize their services for when the time came. I was extremely nervous with the idea of dropping off my 4 month old puppy in a unfamiliar place leading up to her visit, being that new puppy parent. The staff at P.I. Paws made me feel at ease from drop-off to pick-up. They were friendly, knowledgeable and gentle to my pup. They were flexible in feeding her specific food I provided as well as medication. The web cam they provide to clients is great for seeing what all those dogs are up to while I was away. Such a relief to see my puppy playing and having fun! When it was time to finally go home, she didn't want to leave! We will be returning to P.I. Paws again without a doubt for overnight boarding and perhaps some daycare. Thank you again!! read more
