Starbucks never disappoints. Very friendly baristas and service was super quick! Had some yummy bacon and Gruyère egg bites as well, but naturally I finished those before I could even take a photo!

One of my favorite Starbucks!!! Even on a busy Monday morning, they are friendly, make the coffee perfectly, and go the extra mile to put in a napkin and fork in their little food bags. It's the little things!

Order confirmation. Store opens at 5am weekdays.

If you're an early bird, you may not want to choose this Starbucks for your morning coffee. There have been several times no one shows up to open the store. This morning I placed a mobile order, which was accepted, while getting to the store to see no one was at work and the door locked. This was 30 minutes after open time.

We've stopped by this location a few times during our visits over the last year. It's conveniently located near lots of other places we usually visit and is even the perfect stop on our way out of town. Each time there's been a short line, but it moves quickly. The staff is very accommodating of special orders. The only "bad experience" we've had there was the Egg Nog latte. Lol. We do not recommend.

I'm going to stick with my standard mantra of "It's a Starbucks. If you like Starbucks, you'll like it. If you're not a fan of SB then you might want to look elsewhere." Past that, there isn't a whole lot more to say. It does have outdoor seating which is nice.

As a former Starbucks Partner, I am very critical of my Starbucks. I want that "legendary" service, good coffee, outdoor seating, ONLY coffee smells (no burned cheese smell), good music and a great location. This place provides this all. The only downtown Starbucks location has the unique added value of also being a neighborhood location. It lies conveniently off of the highway and right within walking distance of downtown and the surrounding, slightly urban neighborhoods. The outdoor seating is, for the most part, shaded and plenty. The only draw back is the close proximity to the roadway and parking lot...there is a chance that the exhaust from cars may push you inside. The inside features a uniquely designed Coffee Bar. You sit at stools that look at the espresso machine and brewing station. A great feature for customer interaction with the Partners. The service and staff is as good as it gets as far as Starbucks in the Asheville area. The other locations are fine...but Charlotte Street shines as an example of how a store should be. I go out of my way to get to this place. It's worth it.

So when I'm looking for that big corporate fix when it comes the coffee this is my Starbucks of choice. Located just on the edge of the center of town on Charlotte Street I don't think of ever seen his place when it wasn't busy. Staff is friendly and if I'm not mistaken the entire interior has been redesigned giving it both a fresh and contemporary look and feel They would get five stars but in my most recent visit I purchase a to go metal coffee mug a mocha and a note bar and was never given the oat bar are usually don't ask for receipts so it took a bit of convincing that I did buy it without the receipt. FYI always take the receipt in case they forget it at this location

A reliable cup of coffee. I know the quality will always be the same each time I order my mocha. Sometimes the parking can be tight here...

Parking here isn't the greatest. Needs a bigger sign by the road. Staff was friendly and they were quick.

Every recommendation was spot on--even the radish cocktail that I wasn't sure about at first! What really stood out was the hospitality. We spent some time chatting with who we believe were the owners, hearing the story behind the bar and talking about Asheville. Those conversations made the experience just as memorable as the drinks. If you happen to remember the two Florida ladies who stopped in for a bit, thank you for making us feel so welcome. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Asheville. Highly recommend!

If it's still available when you drop in, definitely try the "Last Time Lover" and "Smells Like Green Spirit." The Last Time Lover even came with a nostalgic butterfly clip holding a Spice Girls photo! If you're a cocktail fan, I highly recommend this spot. We each ordered individually, but tasted everyone's dish. Beef Tartare: beautifully presented and well balanced. Served with fried saltines (seasoned with Old Bay seasoning). Wood Grilled Asparagus: perfection! Absolutely LOVED the sauce gribiche! Braised Rabbit and Nettle Cavatelli: I thought this dish was stunning. The texture of the cavatelli could not be better and the flavors melded well together. Lardon added savoriness while the pickled ramps balanced the palate. Soft Herb & Pea Risotto: loved this in terms of texture but needed a touch of salt. We added a pinch of their house special salt (mined from a 100 year old salt mine), and it did the trick! Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle: this was my favorite item, though also, requiring a pinch of salt. I really appreciated that the truffle oil did not overpower the dish (that's a pet peeve of mine). We were provided with some truffle salt to enhance savoriness, which absolutely lifted the pasta to another level. Service all around was attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend if you're in town!

Tucked away near the end of Broadway, Rowan possesses a warm and understated charm. The soft lighting and calm atmosphere create a cozy ambiance that exudes thoughtfully curated design, while the gentle hum of conversation and espresso machines add a touch of life to the space. It's the kind of coffee shop where rainy afternoons feel like a cinematic scene from your favorite film. Recently, I met a date here, as Rowan seemed like the perfect setting for such a memorable beginning. After we greeted one another with an intimate kiss just outside the doors of Rowan Coffee, I observed a Duchenne smile flash across her face before we embarked on what became an emotionally recursive, psychologically layered Asheville odyssey, as we explored Malaprop's Bookstore, the Grove Arcade, Wall Street, Pack Square Park, I.M. Pei's connection to structures outside both the Louvre and the Asheville Art Museum, French Broad Chocolate, Cúrate, and the South Slope. The coffee at Rowan is truly exceptional. Each cup is thoughtfully crafted, balanced, and served with care by passionate baristas. It can be rather challenging to find premium cold brew these days, but the cold brew on offer here is some of the best I've found in Asheville. Whether you're enjoying a cappuccino, catching up with a friend, or studying/working near the back, Rowan provides the perfect atmosphere for unwinding and savoring the moment. My date ordered a mocha that morning, and based on the enthusiasm with which it disappeared, I'd be remiss not to mention it. The mochas are so good here that girls do circle back. And if you don't, you're missing out. What truly sets Rowan apart is its comfort. It's an intimate space without being overcrowded; it's stylish without being pretentious. It encourages conversation, reflection, and even accidental three-hour stays.

I figured I'd have to get there right when they opened to beat the crowd. Then I hit snooze about a thousand times and stumbled in a few hours later. Somehow there were only three people in line. While the cashier at the counter cut me off after I ordered two items, telling me I was "going too fast"... I thought she was about to ruin my morning. Turns out she was an angel, guiding me to the light. She recommended The Standard, which I assumed was just a basic-ass breakfast sandwich, then told me to get it on the biscuit instead of the bread/roll/bun/whatever. That flaky, buttery, soft biscuit made me feel like I was in heaven. And don't forget the herb mayo--the cherry on top of one of the best milkshakes... I mean sandwiches... I've ever had. The lavender, fairy-dust, moon-water, up-your-ass spritzer seasonal special or whatever the hell it was... also delicious. Such an amazing way to start my day that when I told my friends about it, they immediately wanted to go for lunch. I RARELY, IF EVER, EAT AT THE SAME RESTAURANT TWICE IN ONE DAY. By lunchtime I felt like I should've been getting employee discounts. Hell, it was so damn hot in Asheville I bought one of their tank tops after breakfast... then came back wearing it for lunch like I'd worked there for years. I'll spare you the details of everything we ordered, but let me tell you this: not a single complaint. And that's saying something with the group of professional complainers I seem to have surrounded myself with. If you're reading this, lady at the counter--you were right. I hope you're out there telling other lost souls they're going too fast... and to get the biscuit. Asheville might've gotten the Michelin recognition, but you deserve a star too. Verdict: I'd eat here twice in one day again
