Great Starbucks location: adorable building with a decent amount of space and a LOT of natural light. Flow of traffic is good too (super helpful during day, a pandemic!) and not as cramped as some Starbucks. Staff are friendly and efficient. The only challenge is parking - this Starbucks is right on Wisconsin so if you're driving, it's not easy to find a place to leave your car even just to pick up a mobile order. There is a small parking lot just off the side street to the right of the store, but it's small and serviced several businesses on that stretch of Wisconsin. read more

Ordered bacon egg . No bacon in there . I took it back and the supposed manger said it's melted or in there and it's not as you can see it's a egg and cheese . How does bacon melt and then she said I removed it . Really why would I remove my bacon ? She didn't offer another item or refund this photo is from after I ate it. I had not bitten into it before I brought it back . I asked to speak to manager and she said I am the manager rudely . I told her I'd complain to her supervisor and she said rude to me go for it . Every Barista or Master Maker has a great sense of wit & will assist you any way you need. The environment is warm & engaging where the SB strangers/customers are friendly & willing to share their seating space with you. As with the Barista behind the counter, she with great humor told me, "There are now so many versions of the Medicine Ball, just mention steamed lemonade with hot tea & we will figure it out"...LOL, well there you have it. This is the Starbucks that is across from the Woman's Coop and a block away from the heart of Bethesda row. It's safe to say... that this is the probably my least visited Starbucks. The biggest factor: Lack Of Parking. There is street parking on Bethesda Ave, but that's rarely open. You could go park in the newer garages, but they're confusing and everytime I enter one side of the garage, I magically end up coming out next to like Paul hahaha. Literally, the last time I was going to this Starbucks, I parked in those newer garages and then came out right next to Paul. And I was like... ehhhh might as well get coffee here hahaha. Not that there's anything WRONG with this Starbucks. I feel like this is the Starbucks that people on Bethesda Row walk too, now that there is no Starbucks in the no Barnes and Nobles. Customer Service has been friendly and quick every time I've come. In fact, the last time I came the Barista was chatting with what seemed to be a regular. They were confused about a grande ice water that was on the bar. Anyways, definitely a solid Starbucks. Moderate amount of seating. Parking is annoying most of the time, anyway you cut it. Stopped in for coffee waiting to get my car services. The staff is friendly and welcoming when you walk in. I had the skinny vanilla latte with milk heated to the perfect temperature and a nice thin layer of frothy milk foam. I love the Starbucks ham and cheese croissant they recently added to the menu! So I don't typically write reviews for big chain locations, however this Starbucks has a soft place in my heart. With a total of 6 locations all within less than a mile of each other(3 stand alone, 1 target, 1 Safeway and 1 Harris Teeter) this one reins supreme! No matter what time of day I go in, I also receive excellent service and perfectly made drinks. I've never ordered a drink here that didn't taste great, can't say the same for some of the other locations. I am typically a morning goer and that crew base knows me by name and even during rush hour, always take a second to chat with me. I love them enough that when I'm indecisive about what to order, I let them choose tor me. Sometimes they give me something I order regularly, others they make me something know that I don't like sweet sweet things and that I prefer iced and almond milk. read more

I don't know why the rating is so low Stopped in and got a drink while waiting for my sister. I ordered the salted cream cold foam drink but instead of the cold brew I asked for the nitro cold brew with the salted cream on top. They double checked to see if I wanted the caramel because the original drink has 4 pumps caramel. I didn't want the caramel so they didn't add it :) the guy in the store told me about how the guy making my foam is really good at it and it's true! The best foam I've had! I've had some bad foam and a lot of places are inconsistent and some places where they all suck at making the foam. I've been here a few times and I've never been disappointed. Struggling to comprehend the ridiculous experience I just had at this location. I was the only customer in the store and yet they refused to make my order until making every single mobile order that came before me. This despite the fact that nobody was coming to pick up the mobile orders. They were just sitting there. After waiting around for 15 minutes I asked if they could just make mine and they said they have to do all the mobile orders first. Even if a mobile order came in 5 seconds before my in-person order, they will make the mobile order first. This is plainly idiotic. Mobile orders are placed with the expectation that they'll be ready 10+ minutes later. Makes no sense to keep an in-person customer waiting while you make the mobile order for someone who isn't even expecting their coffee for a while. Even after I pressed, they refused to bump up my order. Even as nobody was coming in to pick up these mobile orders. I had to take my money back and leave, or I might've been there all night. Beyond absurd. I want to say, the two women working behind the counter were hustling as best they could. But the refusal to prioritize orders in a logical way is inexcusable. This is my neighborhood Starbucks that I use quite often. Today I placed an order using my app as usual and the employees were extremely rude when I tried to pick up my order. There was a misunderstanding, and when I tried to explain it, a young female girl of my kids' age yelled at me not trying to listen to what I wanted to say. Literally, no intention to understand what the costumer was trying to say, just keep saying what she wanted to say without stopping. I asked her many times to just stop talking and listening to what I say... didn't work at all. I have known this place is not particularly friendly or welcoming, which I didn't care until I became a victim of erratic behaviors of the employees there. I was sorry they had to work on Christmas afternoon but that doesn't justify their behavior today. I said "Thank you for serving on Christmas day" and left the place without my drinks. If you are the manager of this place and you have a security camera installed, please review your recording to discover how your customers are being treated. You will be baffled. I don't want to give up on my neighborhood Starbucks. So please provide your employees with proper training on customer service, manners for other human beings, and cultural/racial bias. Never did I think that I would be writing a review on Starbucks - but here I am!!! I am still smiling and amazed at how well the customer service was there. There are a couple Starbucks in the Bethesda area that I usually frequent; but today, it was my first time visiting the Wisconsin Avenue location. I thought this would just be a casual in-and-out experience. Yet here I am still thinking about how nice and warm everyone was. I was immediately greeted with friendly (masked) faces. The energy was so vibrant. When it was my turn to order, I asked if they had any avocado spread since I didn't see any visible. The barista said they ran out, so it was no biggie to me. I would just get it next time. UNTIL! one worker ran to the back and came back with a box of more avocado spread!!! Maybe I'm a sap, but it's stuff like this that make me so happy. That was so nice of them :) As I was waiting for my drink (extra hot soy caramel latte if you were curious ;)), the other barista started up a conversation with me. It was casual talk but still a nice chat. I wish I got their names to give them a shoutout. They were so so so awesome. I barely write reviews (let alone a four paragraph one about Starbucks) but this experience needed to be documented! Y'all rock. Keep up the good vibes. read more

I came here to wait for Mommy so we could head to lunch while I was home for the holidays. The employee helping me (I forgot her name) was so friendly in helping me find a compatible drink to my craving for tea with steamed almond milk. She turned me on to the London Fog Tea that has now become my signature drink. The black tea combined with the French Vanilla sweetener and almond milk is delicious. The store is part of an office building with not too much space as most stores but it had all the goodies to offer and few places to sit with nice window views. The restroom was very clean and the customer service I was extended really earned their 5 stars. I get high usage of my Starbuck's App as it's so easy to reload money on it and pay with it. read more

I only visit this Starbucks when I know I'm already too tired to work in the morning, or if it's the afternoon and I'm lagging. Mornings the lines are long, but the cashiers and baristas offer a quick turnover of drinks and food. On one occasion in the afternoon I asked, completely expecting to be turned down, for a drink that wasn't on the menu. Not only did they agree to make it, but the barista I ordered from said, "For you, anything." Charmed. I'm leaving the fifth star off because 50% of the times I've asked to have room left off the top of a hot drink for half and half, they've ignored/forgotten my request. There's really nothing you can do in that situation other than look like an idiot by asking them to pour some out for you, or pour it out yourself in the garbage, which I'm sure they hate. read more

Starbucks, just take all my money already. I don't usually review chains, but this one is across the street form where I work so I've been visiting every day and figured that warranted a review. I'm one of those annoying decaf drinkers who shouldn't drink coffee but is addicted to the stuff anyways. I always order decaf when I come here, and in the afternoon, they don't make it in bulk in a vat anymore so you can only get a cup made to order. So they make it for me on the clover, which is this super awesome $11k contraption invented by some Stanford engineers that supposedly makes the best cup of coffee in the world. Every morning, I start with a cup, and then get a refill of the best coffee ever in the afternoon. It takes much longer to get your coffee (about 5 minutes versus instantly) but the flavors are perfect -- intense but not thick and chewy, no acidity whatsoever, and just very clean and deep. The decaf is so good that I can't tell that it's decaf...suspicious, but I'm in love. Plus, the staff here are all sweethearts. read more

This Starbucks location is bright, clean, and well-appointed, with employees that greet you as you come in, make your drinks quickly and correctly, and go out of their way to accommodate you if you have a concern. I've never been to this Starbucks before, and I was so impressed as the staff warmly greeted regulars and made these customers' drinks from memory. The staff in this Starbucks are so friendly! It's nice to be greeted with a smile when ordering your coffee. I also noticed today that there is parking for this location, though it is limited. The lot is on Bethesda Avenue, next to Rice Paddies, and you can park there for 2 hours. Now that I know there's parking available here, I'll be back to this Starbucks more often. read more

I am a huge Starbucks drinker. Like huge. I love this location, although I have never come here on a busy 7 AM morning work day. I do come here during the evenings and weekends and am always pleased. Service is good, drinks are always made well and I never have to have my drink remade. It's also a good location, close to a lot of things and overlooks the main road. It's a nice ending to a large stir-fry meal from across the street. Whenever we come to Bethesda for BD's Mongolian grill, we top it off with a relaxing coffee break before continuing on our way. The staff is friendly and the location is great to have a seat and people watch along Wisconsin Ave. I ordered their signature Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate Half white chocolate and they made it decently enough and moved at a good rate of speed for a Tuesday evening. read more

This isn't the best or worst Starbucks on the planet. Some staff are friendly, some less so. Some are fast, some slow. I did have a friend who had a bad experience though, and I want to post it here in case anyone from corporate reviews these boards. She was told by the cashier that it was 'illegal to sell caffeine to pregnant women'. My friend is not pregnant and was going through a difficult time so this was completely uncalled for. Worse still, that is complete garbage and goes completely against their business model. They are refusing service to someone, based on an incorrect assumption about her being pregnant. Except pregnant women are absolutely allowed to have caffeine, and it's definitely not "illegal" to sell it to them!! read more

The baristas at this Starbucks are THE BEST!!!! They make an effort to remember their regular costumers' names and are always so friendly. Ying and Wede are especially awesome. I come here most mornings on my way to school, and they always say hi and ask me how I'm doing or how school is going. Also - the service is always efficient even when it gets super busy. I've visited Starbucks in several states and locally every Starbucks in NW DC, Silver Spring, Bethesda, Rockville, etc. This Starbucks scorecard: Service = A+ Drinks = A+ Speed = A+ Accomodations: = A+ If you need it and its not on the menu, they will go out of their way to make it for you, give you recommendations, deliver if possible and they have enough staff to cover, and do just about anything you ask within reason. After spending alot of my hard earned money at many Starbucks, this is the only Starbucks I now patronize. Cheers!! read more
