Pistachio muffin! Mmm! I had one and had to go back a.s.a.p. to get another!

I've never been a regular at a café -- and I'd never found any café at which I'd want to be a regular -- until I found this one! I was always driving by it and thinking 'I really need to go there and check it out!' Finally, one day, I did. I discovered the treasure for which I am always searching -- Turkish coffee! I also found out that it's sometimes called 'Arabic' or 'Greek' coffee. It's so fun to learn new things! Another unexpected find here is the shakshouka (in the morning, during breakfast time until eleven a.m. -- so to get this along with the Turkish coffee is a perfect cultural connection for me, and that's what I love! There is also a really great selection of pistachio-flavoured things, such as the frappe, pistachio-cream-filled muffin, pistachio-cream-drizzled croissant, etc. De-li-cious! Oh, yeah, they have all kinds of other flavoured drinks and such, but I am highlighting and pointing out the pistachio because that is my favourite! Mmm! The little veggie quiche is very good, too! So filling, as well. Rich, creamy, dense, etc. I wasn't hungry for hours after eating it -- I would just say to be ready to hydrate with lots of liquid for a while upon completion of this delightful meal. The whole vibe of this place, by the way, is so much nicer than I had anticipated. It's roomy with comfortable, cool-looking seating coming in both chair and booth-like bench form with luscious cushions reminiscent of the Moon's or some other outer-spacey surface. The tables are sturdy -- no wobbling -- with plenty of space for all your goodies. It has nice lighting, large windows, and some coffee-themed wall decorations. The company is over a hundred years old! Not this location, of course, but the company. I think that's really cool! In addition to what's available to order at the counter, there is a nicely-sized cooled drink area with bottled apple and orange juices, fizzy flavoured and unflavoured waters, and shelves with coffee-scented candles. They smell so good! I don't know how long these will be here, but for now, they are pretty specialized little scent treats you can get for yourself or someone else. To be greeted with such welcoming smiles such as those I have received here by the people at the counter is a treat in itself, too! All in all, this place is a real find! Highly recommended! Yay! :-D

Great ambiance for doing work and great coffee! I tried their chicken salad sandwich and there was wayyyy too much mayo in there. Other than that, i like this place to do work

This coffee shop has lots of seats. It's got very nouveau seating with different combinations. I loved the regular drip coffee. Noticed the cups have a slight curve at the bottom that fits well with the saucer's center. That's excellent attention to detail. Very friendly employee at the counter. Noise level is low. Menu for coffee is extensive and food choice is light. I just had coffee and enjoyed it.

If you're in need of a little boost to get you through the rest of the week, consider heading to Filicori Zecchini at Park Potomac. Their iced mocha was smooth, not too sweet, and provided the afternoon pick-me-up I needed. I also enjoyed the pistachio croissant, which was flaky and filled with a good amount of pistachio cream. This one is definitely a must if you love croissants. Service was friendly and my mocha/croissant were ready in a decent amount of time. There's a good amount of seating indoors and some outdoors as well. Parking is available along the streets or in the lot/parking garage nearby.

Fabulous local place for a cup of nice coffee, a pastry or breakfast sandwich or a lunch. Very nice waitstaff. Both indoor (with air conditioning) and outdoor (in sun or shade) seating. Lovely place to go with friends or your laptop.

If you are in the Park Potomac area off of 1-270 and you need coffee, breakfast or lunch, go to Filicori Zecchini. It's a delightful and spacious coffee shop in the apartments around Park Potomac. There is a full range of coffee options. The pastries are beautiful (and with a vegan and a gluten free option) and the lunch menu is long (including soup!). I am always amazed at how large the space is inside, and in the warm weather, there are numerous tables outside (some in the shade, some in the sun). The baristas and the kitchen staff are always friendly.

This coffee shop is stellar for both coffee and finding a place to bring your laptop. I was so impressed with how many outlets are all around the seating at Filicori. It was not a problem at all to find a spot where I can maintain my laptop charge and get work done. Additionally the wifi was free and worked extremely well for the 2 hours I was there. Filicori has a great selection of beverages and even some seasonal drink items. I enjoyed a soy decaf gingerbread latte. This latte was delicious with the perfect amount of ginger flavor and not too sweet. It was also extremely filling for a latte so I didn't feel a need to order food with my drink. I do wish that this business would get some vegan options. If I was hungry I would have only been able to order potato chips or a plain bagel with no spread. I hope next time this business can have some food available for me to try. Like I said I was really happy with this latte so even with no food I give this business 5 stars. I will definitely be back to support this coffee shop next time I am waiting for my dog's grooming appointment to be done. I got a lot of work done and really enjoyed the ambiance and coffee options.

Visited yesterday and absolutely loved it. The ambiance has a charming European vibe, though a bit of background music could really amp it up. The latte was phenomenal--smooth and rich--and the chocolate chip muffin was perfectly moist and delicious. The customer service was fantastic, with the friendly lady at the counter making the experience even better. Definitely the best coffee shop I've found in Potomac so far. I'll be back!

Arriving early to a client breakfast at nearby MoCo's Founding Farmers, I stopped into Filicori Zecchini, giving me an excuse to avoid ordering Founding Farmers crappy coffee. I'm so glad I did! The space comes across as a little sterile and cheesy and the service isn't warm, but I really enjoyed my latte. It was the perfect temperature and very tasty! If you want a good latte, stop in!

Came here late afternoon of November 16, your average Wednesday, around 4:30. Didn't expect it to be packed! We got the last table available, there is another little alcove tucked off to the side but it seemed to be being used as storage? Too bad it isn't available for seating when the place is super busy? Without heaters outdoors, by that point in the month it was too chilly to sit outside. Just a thought for the future- as we were meeting someone here, we almost left before we found the last (not cleaned) table by the door. I ordered the vegetable quiche, which is served as a 'personal' sized round pie, not a slice of your traditional size quiche. For lunch, or a snack, this could have been shared by 2 people as it is also served with a side salad, more than I had intended to eat for a coffee date haha A little dry for my taste, but that may be in part due to the individual portion process or just the recipe- tasty none the less :) I ordered a hot tea to go with it. When ordered to dine-in they serve you a tea pot and cup. Hit the spot!

My philosophy is that there are simply too many restaurants in the world to return to a bad one. However, I was not aware that Glenwood's has upped its game. A lot! A helluva lot!!! While the ownership is still the same, everything else has changed - for the better! The dining room is neutral and completely understated. Quiet interior. Hushed energy and soft music. Beautiful finishes. Every surface I touched was clean, warm and modern. The service too was excellent. The hostess was friendly. She led us to one of the biggest booths I have ever occupied. Our server, Erika, was friendly too - also fast, good, charming, well-spoken and hard working. She helped us navigate the menu and made our dining experience really really nice. She is a credit to the restaurant! Of course, you go to a restaurant for the food and Glenwood's does NOT disappoint here either. Based on Erika's suggestion, we started with the Ahi Tuna Battera - a kind of sushi "roll" that is shaped/designed more like layered lasagne (Erika's description, not mine). It was great and almost too big for appetizer size. But I'm not complaining! For our main course, we both ordered the Fire Roasted Rotisserie Chicken. OMG! Delicious. Moist moist MOIST!!! I do not know what the chef put in that marinade but it was out of this world fantastic. Big big BIG!!! A half chicken with plenty of succulent meat on it. Neither one of us spoke until our chickens were picked clean. I only wish I could rotisserie a chicken that good! It was one of the best chickens I have ever eaten. For dessert, we gobbled down the cheesecake, making official gluttons out of ourselves! It was creamy, substantial and the perfect finish to our great meal. The negative to Glenwood's is its location. It is in a non-descript Rockville office building that is nothing special; but locked up and dark at nighttime. There is no other retail business within sight of the restaurant. This weird, lonely location gives it an abandoned - almost desolate - ambiance from the exterior. Driving by, I had almost thought it was a dining room for a retirement home. So, I started out this review by explaining that my bad experience at Stanford Grill kept me from enjoying a good dining experience at Glenwood's. I could not ignore the taint Stanford had given that place. But Glenwood's is a completely different place. The menu had so many great dishes that I want to return and try. I will definitely be back and I can see it becoming "my place." I highly recommend Glenwood's for a great meal in a great restaurant!

Tatte has a lot of seating, however, they are so popular it often feels small when waiting in line to order. A few times I have visited I could not find a table and had to take my latte to go. If I visit outside their busier hours or I get lucky I have snagged a table and had the luxury of drinking my latte at a table inside. Despite how crowded it is inside I can always hear my friends and carry on conversation indoors easily. Occasionally it has been hard to hear when your order is ready so I definitely recommend checking in at the pickup area to make sure you get your latte while it is hot. So far my favorite latte is the Black Sesame Latte with nondairy milk. It is not too sweet, a little nutty, and so smooth. I especially love visiting Tatte in the fall for their version of a pumpkin spice latte. The syrup they use is dairy free which is challenging to find. I do wish Tatte had more vegan options, and more clearly labeled on the menu what can be modified to be vegan. Part of the reason I have not tried any of the food is because navigating the menu as a vegan is challenging. I hope they can make some changes so I can have breakfast or lunch with my latte in the future. For now I love visiting Tatte for a treat yo self moment. I love the high ceilings, layout, seating; it's giving French café with a twist. The desserts look phenomenal and their coffee/tea selection covers all the basics with a few extras (like pistachio, black sesame, and halva syrup), MEM tea blends, matcha, as well as a selection of coolers that sound absolutely divine using white peach/mint, strawberry/cardamom, and mango/ginger syrups. Who doesn't love a housemade syrup? I ordered the honey halva latte, raspberry meringue, pistachio cherry tart, and a plain butter tube (comes with 17 butter cookies). The butter cookies were perfect dipped in coffee, but almost everything else fell short. Looked divine, tasted so-so. The raspberry meringue might be one of the prettiest desserts I've seen but the filling left something to be desired. It had an odd aftertaste, while the pistachio tart barely had any kind of flavor. The coffee was, in a word, disappointing. The crumb cheesecake cup was tasty, but it felt like it was missing something. The woman who rang me up also wasn't friendly, which seemed a little odd considering that I'm a paying customer. Like she had an attitude for no reason. A simple "pick your coffee up over there" would suffice, considering that it was my first time and the barista was located on the other side of the establishment. Would I come back? If a friend wanted to go. Would I make it a point to? Probably not. My visit had good points but overall it just felt like something was missing.

I visited this location 3 times, 2 while I lived in Wheaton and one not long after moving away from Montgomery County. Feb. 2019 I used my birthday deal, pretty uneventful good food. Oct. 2020 there was another deal, again uneventful. My 3rd visit was the noteworthy one in March 2021. I recruited a friend to help use my birthday deal expiring fairly soon (as it's a BOGO deal), who lives in Montgomery County and doesn't like driving far. So, I schlepped from my home in western Anne Arundel County over to Rockville as God forbid he would schlep to Watch First in Laurel in PG County (my closest location), Columbia, or anywhere close to me. Food was good per normal. Server was nice and efficient. However, as a polite word in baseball, she made an error. She spilled the cranberry juice all over my friend. I was spared from her error sitting on the opposite side of the booth. At first, she said we can take the cranberry juice off the bill. We said that was weak. Manager came over and was nice saying how about we comp this meal for you. We said that's a lot better. However, I added that my birthday deal will be useless. The manager said he would just take off my meal too, and I could use the birthday deal again. I don't think I ended up using the birthday deal ultimately that year as it was close to expiration. Overall, while the cranberry juice was spilled was not good, the manager was nice & handled this well. First Watch Rockville is overall positive in my experience.

Between their regular menu and their seasonal specials menu, there was enough variety that I could have something different every morning, with choices ranging from traditional to very interesting. We never had a bad meal there. Service was a bit inconsistent from time to time. At least once, our meals took longer than expected to arrive, and I believe the restaurant was not adequately staffed for a busier than expected morning. The most "interesting" inconsistency was with hot tea, which we ordered every morning. Some servers brought us a plate with a large selection of teas, some servers asked us our preference and brought us just those. One server actually poured the hot water for us (which I was advised is actually a no-no when it comes to serving tea). None of these inconsistencies bothered me too much. I kept comparing (on Yelp, of course) other breakfast options, but for me, nothing else came close being as good by convenience, quality, or price.

But everyone was nice and cashiers were patient even when I couldn't decide what to eat LOL and the line was getting backed up. I couldn't decide right away cuz I was getting nervous the line was getting long so I got steak and egg. Classic meal, well worth the price! Large portion for potatoes too! I need to come back to try other items on the menu. There is too much to choose from, especially the Latin fusion section which surprised me it was even on the menu when I first saw it!

I get that's way more lucrative than coffee but I mean ... insert the name of the shop. * Food is higher priced for smaller portions and lately has not been good. I most recently ordered the Impossible Burger (which I've ordered before) and it was *not* good. * The big TV running what looks like a looped investor presentation, which is weird and distracting. I get that I can sit outside away from it but you can't do that year-round and when it's very hot or very cold you get an eye full of ... whatever that is.

There's a good selection of pastries and I ended up choosing a coconut cream cheese option that was pretty good and flaky. I wanted to try the pistachio croissant but to be honest it looks incredibly unappetizing. I wish the presentation was different. I did have their London fog and it comes with sweetened honey. So good! Service was really good. It's essentially self serve but staff are quick on the orders.

Finally tried this fairly new bakery in Rockville. The space is quite large with plenty of seating,…read morethough the lighting is a bit on the darker side. You pick your pastries from the self-serve shelves. Some items looked like they had been sitting out for a while and were a little dry, while others had just been restocked and looked much fresher. Most of the selection leans toward buttery, laminated pastries, such as croissants, Danishes, and croffles rather than baguettes or rolls. They also have fresh cakes displayed near the counter. The two pastries we had were both good and satisfying. The pain aux raisins had a moist texture with a gentle sweetness. The croffle itself was nicely buttery and delicious, although the cream on top was a bit too heavy for my taste. Prices felt reasonable for the quality and location. Service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, the coffee was only lukewarm, which was a letdown. Parking really depends on the time and day. We were lucky to find a spot right in front, but the plaza gets busy since there are several popular stores/restaurants, so it can be competitive if you're aiming to park close by. Overall, I'm happy to have another French-inspired Asian bakery option in Rockville.
