It's right in the middle of the mall (like a super-kiosk) with plenty of seating after you order at the counter. I tried their Turkish Coffee...since that's not something I usually can get anywhere else, why not! It was very strong...I mean I like a coffee that can kick my butt so this definitely did the job, especially without any sweetener. (I drink a very strong black coffee every morning and even I had to then add a little sweetener to this one...it was a good experience though!) They've got unique pastry offerings, including savory ones like the Spinach Twist (which is what I had.) So if you're hungry and don't want something sweet, you've got options here, in addition to the sweet pastry offerings. I liked the Spinach Twist and it filled me up with the coffee for another hour or so of mall-wandering. If you want to try an alternative to the major chain coffee places, definitely give KaFean Koffee a try!

What made the grilled cheese unique was that they added a tomato-based jam/salsa of some kind that really added a nice fresh acidity to balance out the cheese. I believe they used two kinds of cheese, including brie which is my fav. The cheese was creamy and melty. The food came out pretty quickly and the staff was friendly. Definitely a nice stop if you're walking around the area although there was no shortage of food options!

It was slightly busy but the line moved fairly quickly. The restaurant has a good amount of seating and a lot of people dining in were simply enjoying their weekend. Unfortunately I had to work so everything was to go for me. I would love to have the opportunity to just dine in one day. I also want to try their Virginia location since that recently opened as well. I'm also still waiting on their rainbow/chantilly filled croissant because it had to be the best pastry I've ever eaten. The croissant was flakey and crispy, with a nice soft chocolate middle. Ratio of chocolate to bread was perfect and left me satisfied. It paired great with the earthiness of the hojicha latte, which conveniently is made with oat milk! Lots of dairy-free options if you're into that. Space is clean and very cute as well, seems like it would be great place for a coffee date or meet-up with friends!

There's seating inside, but the seating area is pretty small and some people were at tables looking like they weren't going anywhere anytime soon. It was a nice morning, so we were able to grab an outside picnic table. The service was decent. One disappointment was when the counter person asked me if I wanted room for cream in my coffee, I said yes and asked if they had nondairy products. She said they had almond and soy. I asked for soy and she returned with my drink. When I went to pay, I saw they charged 79 cents for almond, soy and oatmilk. Ok. Here's the thing. I assume it's on the board and I should have looked, but she also could have mentioned it. Also, charging for these items when they put a little in your coffee leaves me feeling like I'm being abused for not being a dairy person. I get it - it's a pastry shop and the items are buttery and rich from cream. But please - 79 cents for a little soy milk? (I know this isn't uncommon for coffee shops, but it doesn't make it right.). And the coffee ($4.25) was decent - not great. I expected better (richer, more flavorful) coffee from a nice pastry shop like this. Anyway, it's a nice neighborhood place and there's a lot of treats there.
