This Starbucks is along the main drag of commercial businesses and restaurants in Bismarck. It's close to the Interstate as well, and I'm sure their drive-through is helpful for folks passing through on what is likely one of the most boring highways in ever. I ordered a simple tall blonde, but they did not have any drip available. The barista offered, and I accepted, a blonde americano. Tasty and the right flavor, it was not burned coffee at all. That was nice. Bonus points for the specific snack I like - Moon Cheese. The shop is clean and the condiments area was well cared for. As much as I prefer to avoid Starbucks, this *is* Bismarck ND. Stopped on a road trip to grab some caffeine. Pretty sure I got a large hot coffee around 8:15pm as I had quite a ways I wanted to drive yet. The coffee was delightful. No complaints about the ambiance, service, or beverage. Run of the mill Starbucks, I'm sure some people have a fabulous experience while others do not. Luckily for me, things went smoothly and I was in and out relatively quickly and back on the road in no time. Appreciate the fact there's a drive thru even though I went inside to order. read more

I looked Up online and it say Starbucks will make your drink how you want and remake it if you don't like it. I've ordered all over the United States and this is the first Starbucks that refused to blend my matcha latte without adding frappe mix to it. I'm diabetic and I like to have a matcha once in awhile especially when driving a long distance for the caffeine and I need to keep the sugar down. I like it blended rather than on ice as it feels more like a shake And I don't drink it as fast and I like it that way. They literally blend drinks all day long but not this time. Thankfully all the Starbucks in Fargo, ND are accommodating and always friendly and willing to help a person out. I'm not hating but they make drinks all day with such particularities that I found the denial of my request odd. They weren't even busy. I'll probably go to a different Starbucks next time I'm in town. read more

Awesome Starbucks. The drive thru line was long, but when I went inside there was only one person ahead of me. Then the person who greeted me (I think it was the manager) was very sweet and professional. While I was taking pics of the restaurant, she surprised me with the order that was super quick. And when i asked for a larger cup of ice than she offered my originally, she didn't have an attitude, just said ok and got the larger one. Great service and FAST!!!! 5 stars!! read more

The cashier was a very friendly nice young man. He was talking to his coworker and she said, "Did you say something about Tupac?" He said, "No, I said 2 AM." She said, "Oh, I knew you were not talking about Tupac because you're not very gangster." This kid was the complete opposite of gangster. If you are curious about why am relating this, it's because that's what they were doing when they were not making my drink. I was just standing there watching them. Obviously I am not in Seattle. I have lived within a few miles of the first Starbucks store in Pike Place market for the last 20 years. The coffee in Bismarck is different. It was kind of off tasting--a little bit burnt-- I'm not sure how that could happen when you're just pulling an espresso shot. Starbucks is usually a consistent brand. read more

Drink was sweetened contrary to my order. I am a doabetic. Drove around and ordered replacement in a loud, clear voice to avoid repeat error. Manager attempted to lecture me about my "tone". I replied that I am a customer and expected service, not a lecture. Lecture was attempted regardless. I said I am forty years your senior and I want my coffee, not a lecture. I don't like Starbucks too much but at times when your on the road the app comes in handy. Always other Starbucks are prompt with their orders and always is here when I arrive...except this place. The location is perfect if you are staying at the hotel next door. The coffee is consistent with what I get at every other Starbucks. The workers were friendly. There was plenty of seats and they had a drive thru that I didn't try out. read more

The drive-thru line was long so I went inside and the barista was really knowledgable since I was looking for something with no caffeine. This is quite possibly the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. We have frequented this place for years because it is pretty close to our place & for awhile it was one of the only coffee shops in town. Fortunately that isn't the case anymore. The drive through is terrible I understand the high traffic isn't their fault but they could fix the pot holes & clear the ice & snow. The service is consistently inconsistent. There are times we get amazing service but more often then not it's terrible. It's the same with the coffee it varies depending on who's working. The only redeeming quality this Starbucks has is the interior was remodeled recently & it looks quite nice. read more

I was not impressed by this coffee place at all. What was impressive. My husband was on duty and I wanted to bring him some coffee. There was an awesome person who waited on me. I asked her if they had any danishes... everything I asked for they ran out....it was a little late and almost closing time. But, this young lady came back to the window and said, "Hey, I would like you to choose from anything we have left here that would catch your eye." I took something that we don't normally eat, she noticed and gave us something different, something that we would take. She gave us 3 free. I thanked her and said it was for my husband who happens to be on duty (law-enforcement). She said, "I would like to donate a little more. Which ended up to be 6 in all for law-enforcement for free. I tipped her and thanked her. Her manager, however, wasn't to happy. He told her that wasn't right for her to do, and not to do that again. Kudo's to that young lady who cares about law-enforcement! Otherwise, to stop for coffee here...not the best place. However, the place near Century Street, right by the strip mall is the best for Starbucks coffee. read more

Worst Starbucks EVER. I have family that lives down the street and hit this Starbucks 4 or 5 times a year out of sheer convenience and I have yet to have a good service experience in the last 3 years. Orders are backed up (not to mention the cars lined up in the street) and employees are standing around doing anything but filling orders. Last month, I tried the drive thru and sat at the order kiosk for almost 10 minutes before anyone asked me for my order. I know with an oil boom, it may be hard to hire but maybe corporate needs to come in and do a training refresher. read more
