The location is not far from 23S in MI and a very quiet area. When I enteres this establishment I did receive a warming nor a greeting as usual when entering. Just a look. Note we were African American going into this establishment with non African Americans. I felt the dismay; but there was no disrespectful remarks or gestures. While waiting for my order other non African American patrons came in and were all greeted warmingly. I received a beautifully prepared drink and apple croissant. Went in with a few friends , We where greeted with unkind stares. I got a coffee with a few things in it, and when i received my drink the barista was talking to the others and said " When ur drink order is half the size of the cup that's when I get pissed off". Went inside at this location today for a coffee. Severely understaffed by 2-3 people compared to previous visits. Drive-thru line long and people waiting inside to order. As I watched the 4 staff members zipping around trying to keep up, one of the workers was actually busy making her own drink and pastry to then go sit at a table leaving the staff load down yet another team member. Furthermore, since when does Starbucks start hanging pride flags inside their stores?? I don't care about people's sexual choices and don't need them waving them in my face to gain acceptance. Yesterday morning, September 7, 2025, I stopped by this Starbucks to sit down and read before I met my mother who has terminal cancer for church. I ordered an Eggs & Cheddar Protein Box and a simple Medium Roast - Pike Place Roast. I put the order in at 9:17am, after I finished the protein box and read for a while, I noticed never received my coffee. Around 9:45am, I walked to the counter and asked for my money back for the coffee I never received. Then, for some reason, they wanted to immediately give me my coffee, which I declined, because I wasn't going to drink a Venti coffee during the church service. They did give me my cash back for the terrible service, which I believe was caused by a group of people who don't have any since of duty and who are not grateful for the job they have. During that 30 minute period I was waiting for my coffee, I overheard numerous staff members stating their displeasure for their jobs, and how they wished they could leave Starbucks. One woman even stated that she would have left, but they promoted her. Yesterday morning's staff was incompetent due to lack of effort, focus, and desire to do their jobs. The simple fix: hire people that want to be there and can make a simple cup of black coffee for their patrons. read more

I'm updating my review. I'm so disappointed in my recent experiences. As multiple reviewers said, they are super slow. They don't have the inside open or order ahead, so are only taking drive thru orders, so what's the hold up? They need to set up cones to direct traffic into the drive thru. There are cars coming in from both ways which is super inconvenient and causes chaos. IMO, people should pull up to the drive thru from the Geand River entrance only. If you come in through the other, then pull in and turn around. I think this would cause less confusion and allow for less traffic blocking in the parking lot. I'm sure people complain when they can't exit into the shopping center because people are blocking the driveway. My other review stands the same. I just think that speed and efficiency are extremely important. Waiting 30 minutes in a drive thru line is unacceptable. read more

This was a good Starbucks experience. The baristas were generous and accommodating. They made sure to put extra sprinkles on my while chocolate mocha. The line moves fast and we got our drinks quickly considering the large crowd of customers. I love the holiday drinks! Im a bit disappointed they didn't bring back gingerbread lattes this year. The other coffee shops don't do it justice. The bathrooms were a bit messy and were running out of paper products. Other than that it was a positive Starbucks experience overall. read more

There is never any of the specialty coffees that I have ordered. It's very frustrating when you're paying 5 to 6 dollars for a cup of coffee and you drive away and it's wrong. If you go to the target Starbucks across the street, the barista's there specifically Caitlin is absolutely amazing. She makes it perfect every time. That's where I go now to get my specialty coffees. Not to mention the Starbucks is in a very poor location it's hard to pull in and out of there, it's too congested for a coffee house in that section. We stopped at this location hoping to get quick service while we were on the road with somewhere to be. After ordering, 30 minutes passed before we asked what was happening. The barista told us it would be another 15 minutes. Mobile orders continued to be prioritized over the many guests waiting inside. At least some communication with the people waiting so that we know it's going to be a longer wait? Customers are expecting quicker service and at least reliable baristas if there is going to be a longer wait. Wasn't happy at all and we got a refund and walked right out with only 1 of our drinks made. Hoping you guys can do better for more customers in the future. read more

Almost EVERY time I've gone into this location the baristas are rude and always have issues making my drinks, which sucks because it's the closest to my house, but when I go to the heartland location I NEVER have an issue and the same drink is almost $3 cheaper, the lady at the register gave me the print out and told me to show it to the Brighton location to ring it up that way and the person at Brighton told me "to go to heartland then"!! So rude, if I'm paying almost $10 for a drink ide like for it to be made the way I'm asking or I would have just stayed home and saved about 9$!! Do better!!! read more

I wish I had read reviews before going here. Made a mobile order before coming - the ONLY reason I waited. 40 minutes in the drive thru for a dozen donuts and 1 basic iced coffee. Everyone there is like "we are all new no one has trained us" and they are mad at me for being polite but being unable to hide my annoyed face Donuts weren't right, coffee doesn't taste right either. SO SLOW!!!!! I have came back to this place time and time again and it is incredibly slow! I am done coming here. There is about 6 workers in there and they are in no hurry what so ever. They sit there and chat and laugh about messing up orders. The shaken espressos are always half full. Like come on, quit being stingy, I didn't pay $7 for half a drink. Terrible customer service at this Starbucks. Went in on a Wednesday evening at 6:30pm and waited at the front counter for over 6 minutes. This was while Ashley, the cashier, carried large mats to and from a stock room. Ashley said that she would be with me in a minute but I waited, and waited, and waited while she proceeded to take care of the mats. Once I was finally able to place an order, she was rude and short with me. The restaurant was dirty and the tables were sticky. I gave the restaurant two stars because the barista actually remade my order as Ashley didn't key it in properly. Overall, it was not a good experience. This location is located a half mile from the freeway, making it completely convenient for anyone on the go! I stopped in on my way to Lansing for an morning pick me up. The line at 11AM was long, both in the drive through and in person. That made me hesitate right away but the baristas looked to be doing a great job at keeping the line moving. The drive thru had about 10-12 cars and the line inside was just as long. I was out of the store in about 10 minutes and everything was handled well. The baristas were all kind and working as a team and it's nice to see that when things get rough and busy! My drink was made to my liking and the awesome service will make me want to come back again! read more

What a beautiful store and everyone is kind and quick. There are places to sit inside and outside. The traffic getting here may be heavy been it is totally worth the wait. There is a drive thru and again they are very fast here. The staff always double checks with you to make sure that your order is right. I ordered a pumpkin scone and they were out but to make up for it they pulled a blueberry scone from freezer and put it in the over. They will bend over backwards for you. read more

I understand that with COVID this Starbucks is most likely severely understaffed and they need to change their hours to accommodate their needs. However, this location does not change their google or in App hours to represent their open and close times. I've gone to see if they're open 4-5 days in a row and they have been consistently closed despite google and the app claiming they're open. It's irritating having to literally drive to the location just to see if it's open, at this point I'll just stop going here. Apparently I'm the only person reviewing places in Brighton. Well that's fine with me! This is one of many Starbucks within spitting distance on Grand River. There's a starbucks in Meijer, in Target, and this one at the corner of Grand River and Challis. I'm probably forgetting a few Starbucks, but oh well. This one opened right when Starbucks announced they were closing a bunch of stores. I guess they haven't hit the saturation point yet in Brighton. Anyway, it's pretty nice inside. There is also a drive thru, but it's not the best b/c it dumps you out on Grand River right at the light. You'll end up getting stuck and you can't make a left. Got a chance to check out this newer location in Brighton during a family trip. I'm not fond of "kiosk" type Starbucks where I might have to explain how to make an iced latte. No worries here for this Gold card carrying Starbucks worshipping drinker. This new location has a nice layout, an efficient drive through and of my trip, the best Starbuck employees who were incredibly nice and knew their stuff. Of the 6 I went to during my trip in PA, OH - this Brighton Michigan store had the most "with it" fun baristas of 3 states. Kudos! read more

I love this location as a stop along the way after dropping the step kiddos with their mom. the drive thru is quite narrow, but no trouble for us. The drive thru is always very fast and the service is really friendly. Need a water? No problem! Last time they accidentally made a hot chai tea instead of an iced and just gave it to us. Super apologetic about it, we didn't mind at all! This store is the shining example of what a Starbucks should be- fast, friendly, and consistent. read more
