The man behind the counter explained what they offered and what exactly was inside every treat I asked about. The place is tucked away into a plaza, and it is absolutely stunning inside. There is a nice area to sit inside with a few tables if you choose to dine in, as well as a larger outdoor patio space to sit at which I really liked and will be perfect in the summer time. Jossi's had a lot more then just bakery as they offered traditional Latin food options such as empanadas as well as some other warm pastries. They also do custom cakes and personalized orders which is really awesome and they seem like a great team of people to work alongside if you are interested! I tried the carrot cake cupcake which was light and delicate, as well as tried the packaged alfajores which were not my favorite but was happy to try them. They also offered specialty coffees and drinks as well as selling their own ground coffee for purchase in a horchata flavor. I do wish they had their prices posted on the large menu just to reference as I found myself having to ask the price of a couple things. Overall, this bake shop is a charming place and reasonably priced and I am glad to have it tucked away into Broadview Heights. I love supporting small businesses and this is definitely one I will find myself back at trying new things (especially the warm pastries next time).

We stopped at the Great Lakes Service Plaza for the Starbucks inside (6/5). I'd been driving for hours and needed a little pick me up. Because we were traveling with our pet cat, we took turns going into service plazas or wherever whenever we needed turn off the road. My husband hopped out of the car and picked up drinks for us - his usual Hot Matcha Latte, my Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso, and a surprise unicorn cakepop sweet treat for me :)

Unfortunately they don't sell that decaf at Heinen's so after hearing this was Carusos, I called the company to see if/where I could purchase some on my own. Upon speaking with one of the co-owners, I was told that I would be shipped some of that yummy coffee as a Christmas gift! People just don't do that kind of stuff anymore-especially during these difficult times. I received my decaf coffee today. When I as a customer get treated like that, I will now go out of my way to further patronize them and encourage my friends and family to do the same. Thanks Carusos! Can't do it. They don't permit it. So I ordered one large blueberry pancake in addition to my omelete. It was a decent pancake with lots of blueberries. Liked it better than the omelete. My server was very kind and did what she could by not charging for the coffee. Ya gotta love a server who tries to be on the customer side of an unfair policy. She was awesome for that. My buddy got the big breakfast (whatever they call it), and the bacon looked awesome. There was a lot of food on his plate.
