Such a small location, but usually packed. The baristas are friendly, and the drinks are made well, but it doesn't have much else going on.

Poor service here today. Never got my food order - waited forever - finally asked for a refund.

Hey, it's just another Starbucks. Nice, pleasant staff. It would get 5 stars but it doesn't have a warmer to heat the cinnemon rolls.

I am sure now that Kelsey's is not the place for me. The first time here, I had the worst coffee ever - I will explain. There are certain coffees where however they roast the beans, it has a cigarette-ish flavor to it, this is what I taste here. The flavor you taste when breathing out is called retronasal olfaction.... That flavor here - is cigarettes. As someone that absolutely hates cigarette smell, this was a no for me. I ordered it with cold foam and was charged extra for that... it was not cold foam. It was like this weird bubbly milk thing on top of my drink that was so full of big bubbles, that it was gone in like 2 minutes. True cold foam is not that difficult to make and could really change your menu up for the better if mastered properly. Today, I decided to stay in town and give Kelsey's another try with something not coffee... a lotus, with strawberry and white peach. I also opted to try a turkey and cheddar sandwich - honestly, wish I hadn't - as I would just love my 6$ back! One piece of cheddar, one slice of store bought deli meat and the butter croissant from Costco... warmed to barely lukewarm... meh, definitely could have been better. As someone that has been in the coffee industry for 10+ years, from roasting to serving... my advice would be to get all your people barista 101 training so there is at the very least some consistency. This was my final attempt to like Kelsey's Coffee. I will stick with what I know is good and worth my money, it is not here. I will say, I do love that they have covered outside seating. That is a definite plus as Carnation is very walkable place.

They have several alternative milk options, are very reasonably priced and offer $1 refills on drip coffee, and have lots of pastry (including gluten free, vegan, and gluten-free vegan options!) options as well. The medium drip coffee wasn't my all time fav but wasn't bad either! Staff were super nice, and service was quick. There is a huge amount of indoor and outdoor seating; it was a place where you could both be there to read/study or to catch up with friends. The best part is that the outdoor seating has a beautiful view of Mt. Sai, the most popular hike in the area. We will definitely come back for our coffee needs when passing through North Bend. PS they have a loyalty program if you're local!

Extremely Disappointing Customer Service…read more We stopped at Huxdotter Coffee in North Bend on Friday and ordered a 16 oz PBJ Smoothie, a 16 oz Mango Smoothie, and a ham and cheese croissant through the drive-through. At the window, we received the croissant and the 16 oz PBJ Smoothie, but were handed a 12 oz Mango Smoothie. We immediately pointed out that the drink was the wrong size. Rather than simply acknowledging the mistake and correcting the order, the employee told us that the order had been entered as a 12 oz drink. We reiterated that we had specifically ordered a 16 oz Mango Smoothie. Instead of saying something as simple as, "I'm sorry, we'll remake that for you," we were told that she would have to refund the original charge and then charge us again for the 16 oz drink. Seriously? Apparently, Huxdotter has developed an innovative new approach to customer service: If we make a mistake, the customer gets to fix it. The mistake wasn't ours. We ordered a 16 oz drink, and the employee or the person taking the order entered it incorrectly. Yet instead of taking responsibility for the error and providing the customer service one would reasonably expect, we were essentially given a bureaucratic explanation of why correcting their mistake was going to require additional transactions. We were on our way to an appointment and didn't have time to wait around sorting out an issue that should have taken less than a minute to resolve. We simply said, "Never mind," and left. What is especially disappointing is that this wasn't about the cost of a smoothie. It was about how the situation was handled. Mistakes happen. Good businesses acknowledge them, apologize, and make them right. Telling the customer that they have to go through a refund and repurchase process because the business entered the order incorrectly is simply poor customer service. Unfortunately, this experience left such a bad impression that we won't be going back. There are plenty of coffee shops willing to treat their customers better.

The service was fast and courteous and so very friendly! The atmosphere is kind of boho and family at the same time, which is super cool. The food was absolutely divine. My son had the denver omelet and am I've pancake, it was perfectly made and delicious. My husband had the biscuit with mushroom gravy, which was a twist on traditional biscuits and gravy and was really phenomenal. I went for the corn beef brisket. When I tell you that is the most tender corn beef.I have ever had.It melts in your mouth like butter. The dish altogether was beautifully done and the creamy horse radish sauce just topped it off perfectly. If you haven't yet, you've got to try this place.

The cafe is loud - uncomfortably so, such that I couldn't hear my missus well. If you want quiet conversation, this is not your stop. Let's start with the one item that was good - the pancake side had great fluffy texture and a delicate sweetness. Nice! The egg scramble was chock full of goodies but the cheese (sub'd in cheddar) was sprinkled as an afterthought and not fully melted. Hashbrowns were super crisp as I like them but my missus's were the opposite, limp and not fully cooked inside. The main reason for only two stars is that there was a taste that permeated both of our dishes. It drove me nuts trying to identify it, then suddenly - soap! Mixed with an antiseptic quality. She tasted it too. I'm not stating it was actually that, but that was the subtle lingering taste we experienced. The cardinal sin was the coffee - bitter as can be. I drink mine black but not even a healthy dose of creamer could improve it. I walked to the nearby coffee house later to get a proper cup. The bill was $50 for two. I'd gladly pay that across the way at the brewery that serves a delicious weekend breakfast. I want this place to succeed but they have a ways to go.
