Brand New Starbucks opened this past Saturday and I tested them out to see how they would do. Best thing about them is that they have a DRIVE THROUGH! Woohooo!!! Starbucks as a standardized company is pretty decent, and I don't know why I have the same issue with just this location... so here we go. Coffee is great along with service if you go inside. My major complaint is with drive thru. We have a Saturday ritual that takes us thru this Starbucks drive thru and we order breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Every time without fail, they neglect to put any napkins when ordering food, I guess in grand scheme of things not a biggie but it's annoying to never have them. In addition, when I order the sandwiches they come lopsided. When they put them in the bag they are put in vertically so the cheese and all the goodies slide to one side. what a crap hole!!! A mop and broom is greatly needed.... and maybe an employee or two that actually care about doing well at their job..... I have never been to a more disgusting Starbucks. How can there be so many crumbs and trash all over by 8am?!?! As if that isn't enough, the staff is snarky and unprofessional in their interactions with customers. Where is the management for this store? Very slow drive thru, always out of the sausage egg and cheddar, tried the new sausage and bacon biscuit and it was cold in the middle. Bacon was chewy and fatty. Disgusting. read more

This is my absolute favorite Starbucks! The staff is always incredibly friendly, and treat you like an old friend. They have been short-staffed lately, which can result in longer wait times, but the staff always maintain their smiles and positive attitude, while working hard to accommodate their large volumes of patrons. It can't always be easy to keep your cool under pressure, so they deserve a huge pat on the back! :) Lauren and Mariah specifically are very sweet, and always provide incredible customer service! Their service is pretty good but with all the flies flying around, I can't give higher than 2 stars. I see several of 'em flying around near tables almost every time it visit. I go to Starbucks almost every morning and mobile order my drink. I make sure that I order 20 minutes before I arrive because I have a catch a ride at a certain time. The past 5 days I have walked into starbucks and they haven't had my drink ready. The place was empty, no line in the drive thru, and still no drink. Those 5 times I had to get my money back because they are so slow. PICK UP THE PACE!! read more

I try and place a mobile order in the mornings on the way to work. It's hit or miss. Sometimes it's ready when I get there and other times, I have to wait as if I placed the order after getting there. Isn't that the whole point of mobile orders?? And when you pick up a mobile order, you've got to flag someone down instead of them paying attention to the pick up area which sucks when it's super busy. It also seems like these Baristas are in a hurry and never measure out my black tea lemonade which is either too tart or too much tea or not sweet enough. Wish it was more consistent. read more

I've been to this location many, many times and the one thing that never fails is the incredibly RUDE and unprofessional employees on the early morning staff. While I can appreciate that they are busy during the morning rush, there is no excuse to ignore, dismiss, or snap at customers who have questions or concerns, and not only have I had this experience myself, but I have witnessed it happening to other customers. I've even seen one particular female staff member completely berate another staff member (who I assume was new) in front of customers. I felt so bad for him. I've never been to a Starbucks where the staff had no tact. It's shameful. Not only that, but it seems as though some of them don't even know what they're doing. They walk around in a daze doing nothing and ignore customers. I can't even count how many times my order has been wrong and then I have to stand at the counter for 5 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge me. That's the reason for the 2 stars. I've had enough of their terrible attitudes and I sincerely hope they get their act together and receive some much needed customer service training. The whole point of drive thru is to be fast and efficient. Not at this starbucks. Atleast 15-20 minute wait in drive thru everytime i go there. Unfortunately this is the only starbucks on my way to work so dont have much of a choice. read more

Tucked into a newer shopping center off of Tall Cedars Pkwy in the Chantilly/South Riding area, it has been a savior for me when driving between jobs. It's your typical Starbucks, providing the usual good coffee and cafe style food selections. Service is always friendly and efficient here. The inside is kept clean and organized. There is also a drive-thru which has always moved fairly quickly in my experience. read more

You have to appreciate the convenience of this location. Tucked right off of 50, this Starbucks starts churning out drinks as early as 5am. This Starbucks is near my Ortho and I decided to go grab a coffee after my visit. This location is brand new (think its no older than 1-2 months) . They have a drive through, outside sitting area, or cute inside dining area! I love the way this inside is set up, cute area to have coffee meeting with friends or have a coffee date! I placed my order and it was done within 3-4 minutes (but i came at a non coffee hour, not sure how fast they are in the morning). Very nicely located on opposite side of shopping center! I give this location a 4 because, it seems like they just can't stick with consistency in the product. One day it's good ,one day it's ok, and on some days it's just not good at all. I come in here often - but I have to say this is one of those days where I question my loyalty to this store. It is disgusting in here. It appears that they didn't bother to clean last night. There is dirt and food and trash on the floor that isn't from this morning. It is in the corners and on the table bases. It is on the window seals. The picture frames haven't been dusted. This is a busy store - but come on guys. Looks like you need some adult supervision. Still a dirty place. 10/23 - still filthy. You can see the scum on the floor and the dust on the picture frames and trim. There are crumbs in the floor and under tables. 11/13 - still filthy. Great location. I'm so glad there is another Starbucks in South Riding. Although I don't use drive thru's, this Starbucks has a drive thru. The only issue I have with this Starbucks is that they are a little slow getting drinks out compared to other Starbucks coffee shops, but I think it will get better once the barista's get the hang of things. Not my favorite location. The coffee can be spot on or watery, or just bitter. Exceptionally busy in the mornings during the week.

My go to place "aka" 2nd home office away from my home office! Very clean and tidy, great setup and an ample amount of seating. As busy as they get, there's usually never a line. It can tend to get loud (mostly coming from the baristas working their magic) so I don't recommend you working from here if you have an important conference call, etc. Overall...I'm just glad they opened this location in South Riding b/c I wasn't really a fan of going to the Starbucks within Harris Teeter (which is still there btw) read more

I love this Starbucks location!! The drive through is amazing. There is always a long line of cars but given the amount of people that live in the surrounding communities, it's understandable. If you go in, the decor is so fun, it makes me forgot that I am in Chantilly, Virginia.....We always sit outside on the patio which is a concept people/other businesses around here do not understand. read more

I'm not sure what has happened lately, but in the past few weeks this has gone from one of my favorite Starbucks with awesome service, to one of the slowest I've ever seen. The drive thru line now takes an average of 17 mins to get through, with several times being well over 20. I sure hope they get their act together soon, because I was going every day, but have pulled out of line and left several times in the last week (including today) due to the delays. read more

All around pretty good. Just quite a few calories depending on what you get. But, honestly pretty great. I recommend a cafe mocha in the winter and a refresher in the warmer weather.
