The individual who was working the drive-through on Tuesday (2/8/22) is rude. When I got up to the window, I asked them if I could scan my Starbucks app to receive the points for my order. They told me that I should have shown them my Starbucks app before handing them my credit card to pay. They then told me that my credit card was declined. Therefore, I gave them my debit card instead. When I checked my bank statements, however, I realized that I had been charged $8.94 on both my credit card and my debit card. When I went back to the store yesterday (2/11/22) to ask for a refund for one of the duplicate charges, the individual working the register handed me a gift card for only $5.00 even after confirming with me that the total was $8.94. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE customer service on 2/19/22. Someone needs to teach the drive thru guy (man bun with black painted finger nails and earrings) about not being such an unfriendly "jerk" to customers (and I am being polite with that term). The worst experience of any Starbucks I have ever experienced. As someone who frequents Starbucks (mostly in Atlanta) almost daily, when I mentioned a service concern at the drive -thru window to this employee, his response was beyond apathetic. His response was "oh well". My wife and I were speechless as his attitude was one of "too bad". And he basically said that multiple times. Really!!!. When i called him out on it, his response was "OK"!!! Then he just turned around. Never have I seen anything like it. I hope the manager of this Starbucks pays attention to this and either trains/retrains this employee on common decency courtesy to customers and being a friendly person in general or finding someone else to be in a customer-facing role at the drive-thru. I hope that Starbucks as a company will address this as well (I will let them know of course) as it is a reflection on the company. read more

This particular Starbucks isn't great. Although it is usually clean and has good table space inside for the size, parking lot and drinks leave a lot to be desired. First, the parking lot design is truly terrible. It's location at the intersection of College and Hwy 123 makes it very difficult to get in and out. Additionally, drive thru goes directly through the very small and limited parking lot, so empty spots are often blocked by cars waiting in drive thru. Drinks-wise, this location is also on the struggle. In 5 visits, my drink has been incorrectly 4 times. They are routinely out of blonde espresso and cold brew but don't update the app. So you come in to the store to pick up your mobile order to find that either 1) it isn't made because they need to ask about substations or 2) is a different drink than you ordered. Of course, because you've already been charged on the app, you pay full price of original drink, even if substitution is cheaper. They need to train their baristas better, update their stocked items, and adjust their offerings on the app as necessary. read more

This place is either hit or miss. I frequent this place usually once a day or two and my experience is either good or bad. The only thing that really bothers me is how they are always out of cold brew. Usually in the morning too. How does a coffee shop run out of cold brew early in the morning? It's fine as far as Starbucks go. Service is relatively slow as they seem to only cater only to the drive-thru people. I have had to wait at the counter for up to 4 minutes while 3 people stare at me chatting on their headphones. There is one barista in particular who is terrible though. Short, dark-haired with a name tag that says "JuJu". She is constantly texting on her iphone on the job. She has a bad attitude and makes drinks poorly. I often hear her complain about her job and about other customers. In my one month stay at Clemson I unfortunately had to deal with her surly attitude many times. Why is she still an employee Starbucks? As a Seattle-native who knows many Starbucks employees I know that these things are unacceptable but I never see any sort of actions taken by shift leads or managers to rectify them. Thanks to Jeremiah, this Starbucks gets 5 stars from me! We had a large group of 12 people and he was on the cash register and kept things really moving for us. I had a problem with my drink--I only drink decaf and it's rare to find a location with it already brewed. He took my order and when I got mine, I asked him if it was a "pour over"--I wish he had told me that was what he was going to do...I really don't like pour-overs--they are so weak. He tried again with more grounds, and then had to try a third time changing to an Americana--it had a horrible flavor. He insisted that he wanted to get it right for me...and wouldn't take "no" for an answer--he wanted me to have something to drink along with the others in my party. He ended up with the suggestion of a bottled juice and he "made it good" with what I had already paid for. THAT, my friends, IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! This may be the worst experience I have ever had in a Starbucks. The service is subpar AT BEST. While I waited at the register no one came to ask for my order for about 5 minutes. Instead all of the employees were sweeping, standing around, or answering the phone. Very dirty. Crumbs all over the floor, coffee drips on the counter. The rag she was using to clean the steamer was literally sitting in a bowl of milk. She didn't look happy, so I thanked her--three times--and she never said a word to me. . . . Didn't even answer when I initially asked for the water (though she gave it to me) . . .
