Starbucks is right near my house so it's very convenient. One day, my coffee will be great. The next day, it will be absolutely horrible. They hired new workers who don't know what the heck to do. Everybody is nice but brutally slow. It shouldn't take 10 minutes to get a cup of coffee at a drive in at 5:30 in the morning. Today I get asked to wait when I pull up to the speaker. Place my order when they come back. Turn the corner and one car is waiting. 5 minutes later they get their 2 cups of coffee. I pull up and the girl walks away from the window even though my code is made and sitting there. Another worker continues to make coffees lining up three but still I don't get my coffee. This location has inadequate parking. If there is a line at the drive through, which there frequently is, you cannot drive around the cars in line. Yesterday I had to get in line because there wasn't enough room for me to park. Too frustrating. Go to another location. read more

I visit this Starbucks every morning......using the drive-through service. Entire staff is super friendly! They know my drinks before I order them! Parking is sometimes problematic - as the lot is very small. If the drive-through is packed......the line sometimes goes back to Jericho Turnpike (but that rarely happens). I waited ten minutes to get past some lady waiting on the drive-through, and never even parked or bought coffee. Hearing all the hype of Starbucks would make one believe that they are the ultimate in customer service and quality. I visited the Commack Starbucks (just west of the Mayfair Shopping Center) on a weekday morning, around 10am, well after the morning rush hour. Although I was the only customer inside (two cars were at the drive-thru), nobody greeted me as I walked into the cavernous place, but, that's okay, because I don't like chatty or patronizing waitstaff. I had a coupon (you get one for signing-up on their website) for a free drink, so I ordered a hot chocolate. Everything was fine until I walked around to the "pick-up" station, where I saw the server finish filling my drink from the espresso-like machine. Then, to my horror, I saw him take a sopping wet rag, that had been lying beneath the long, white, straw-like, spout, and wipe the spout! How long had that rag been sitting there? What was on the rag before I was served? How much bacteria was allowed to accumulate on it that was added to the "cleaned" spout? He put the cup on the counter, and, without saying "Thank you" or "come again" or anything, he walked away. I was stunned, beyond belief, at this blatant disregard for customer safety! Normally, I would have called for the manager, but, I had a gut feeling that this was normal practice, and would lose the inevitable battle of words. I took the cup outside, and dumped it in the outside trash receptacle (located right at the entrance . . . ick). As soon as I got home, I contacted Starbucks via their website. Their surprisingly fast response was apologetic, and the representative swore that it was not standard procedure. She offered to send me free coupons to try again at any day and time I wanted (I have no intention of doing so, and will not even give the coupons to friends . . . maybe my enemies, though!) ;) I asked my friends on social media - - many of whom go to Starbucks on a regular basis - - as to whether the wet rag was an aberration of this shop or standard practice. Much to all our surprise, it appears to be standard practice, as evidenced by the shared photos showing wet rags sitting on, under, or near the machines. Though only two people out of eight respondents said they witnessed the staff actually using the rag, they were all certain that it was used, exactly as I had witnessed. You'd think that, for all the years Starbucks has existed, a large number of people would have been sick by now, which indicates that they (both the public and Starbucks) have been extraordinarily lucky. How can anyone think this is a good, hygenic, practice? And how has this escaped the notice of health inspectors? Unbelievable. read more

Unfortunately, I have to concur with the many reviewers offering low scores for this Starbucks. I travel a lot, all over the country and around the world. I hate to say it but this truly is the worst Starbucks customer service I have ever experienced. The employees seem only concerned with their own comfort. I am about to leave due to the temperature being in the low 60s or high 50s in the store. The few customers willing to stay are decked out in sweaters jackets scarves, hoodies and hats to stay warm - despite several different people asking the staff to turn off the air conditioning. I assume it's warm for the employees near the coffee and drink machines. I also assume the employees could care less about customers. I personally have asked three time for the to adjust the temperature. Cool is fine - but not frozen! And it's about 71 degrees outside, not as if it's super hot out. I'd prefer to stay as I am usually a Starbucks fan, but I'm off to Panera bread where the employees actually care about their customers! read more

I go here all the time for great coffee, but they are a little slow and always make me wait on line.

I have to be honest, aside from the parking lot there are a lot of problems here. There is one Barista who probably should not deal with the public, I think his name is Dan or something. The store always looks a mess, the staff seem almost like robots. There was a barista who was always nice but even she seems unhappy there, I don't see Laura on drive thru anymore, I mean I know she was slow (and she really was, so many times sitting at the window) but at least she was friendly. They hired some new woman, Catrina? Is she supposed to be the human incarnation of Hurricane Katrina? She is probably the rudest, most inefficient Barista there. When you hire do you look for anyone off the street or do you screen people? They do still have one or two nice Barista's, Melissa and Hossam. Melissa is always friendly, she makes my drink really quick and baring some craziness, it is basically always right. Hossam is just funny and he seems really nice. I go to Starbucks almost every morning, I am always very satisfied when I go inside and speak to Laura, she is such a great worker and makes it feel so warming when you are inside you can really tell she loves what she does and she appreciates her customers. If it wasn't for this employee I wouldn't go to this location and rate it as highly as I did but I think she is awesome.She always makes my drinks to perfection and I never walk away upset. On the other hand I don't want to mention names but some employees there do not enjoy their job and aren't very warming and nice when you're in there and make you feel uncomfortable. When I am in there workers have made rude comments towards me and I don't appreciate it when I am getting my morning coffee, it makes me not want to visit this location. Some make rude comments about other customers that recently walked out or left the drive thru, and I think that's very unprofessional because I feel that as soon as I walk out the door they will say something about me as well. read more
