Banana bread is super in right now & it's for a good reason! I don't even like banana bread but the flavor goes so well with coffee, especially cold brew! Top 5 cold brews I've ever had. Already hyped for their summer menu. I wasn't even hungry but when I saw the paradise sliders on the menu I knew I had to order it. The staff was so so sweet, when I ordered they even asked if I wanted extra paradise sauce (who doesn't want extra??) 10/10 no notes. The sausage & egg is obvi solid but the sauce does push it over the edge. I would like to check out the other locations- this was one a decent size, good amount of seating in & outside. When I walked up to the register, I wasn't greeted or spoken to. I began ordering and asked for nonfat milk. The woman, with an attitude, said "we don't have nonfat milk. Only two percent or alternative milks." I felt like I was being judged because it was clear I was not a regular customer. The coffee itself was really good. My latte was very smooth. I also ordered a spinach and cheese empanada, which was filled well and tasty. There are also not a lot of seats inside, but they have additional seating outside. The coffee and food is good. I would recommend going to their other locations though.

The croissant is certainly the real deal. You can taste the butter goodness in every bite. Flaky on the outside, buttery on the inside. This is no store bought croissant. The latte had a full robust coffee flavor that lasted throughout the drink without getting that bottom of the drink watery taste. Limited indoor and outdoor seating. I vaguely remember this from another past trip. I did not write about. She's not top of the Customer Service universe. When I came to the counter, I was standing there. She was checking her cell phone and I had to finally say good morning to get her to disengage from the digital universe. Her one staff member is shy and quiet, but very pleasant. The croissant is one of the few that I have seen that is not the Montmartre croissant, with the highest whirl and the soft interior with the more lightly flaky crust. This is the old school, highly flaky one. Very tasty, but small for three dollars. The coffee was excellent and as I asked for it. I still wouldn't come out of my way to go here. It's a very small step over Starbucks in the mall next-door. Star down for pour hospitality and somewhat dirty space. Rather than checking her cell phone she should be out there looking at all the crumbs on the tables and chairs that probably need to be cleaned up while her assistant is busy actually preparing food. She might be well served by putting somebody on the counter who is more suited to Customer Service. She warms up to a few people she likes, but you have to treat everybody with the same level of respect and grace. She does not. It's unusual, in Florida, to be exposed to someone who could give you frostbite, like a Minnesota January. Puts the mean into her demeanor. Cette attitude peut fonctionner en Paris, et à Boca. Elle ne fait rien pour m'amener dans votre établissement. Faire preuve de grâce et de gentillesse, c'est de l'or.

My friend had a made-to-order omelet with several veggies and cheese. It was a good-sized portion and came with thick, airy "rustic" bread. She thoroughly enjoyed the entree along with an iced coffee. I was excited to see shakshuka on the menu as this delicious Middle Eastern meal of poached eggs in a spicy tomato sauce is not readily found in this area. The feta cheese on top of the tomato sauce produced a nice flavor combo, but I was a little disappointed in the lack of spiciness and in the portion size, especially given the price of almost $15. The "rustic" bread was perfect for soaking up the tasty sauce. This location of Carmela's offers plenty of covered outdoor seating in a quiet space next to the restaurant. Just order at the counter, find a table, and within a few minutes, you order is delivered to you. Carmela Coffee Company offers a great atmosphere to enjoy breakfast, lunch or just some coffee. After all, "coffee" is in the name of this restaurant.

The only negative thing I have to say was that the music was painstakingly loud that I could barely hear my mom and she was sitting right in front of me at the table. It was also super cold inside on a day in Florida where it was in the 30-40s range of temps outside. Overall, I would love to come back to try the coldbrew!
