This review is solely based on the customer service I received on a busy holiday weekend. I stopped in and ordered two different bagels, but when I got home, I realized one of the bagels was wrong. I called and spoke with Tommy, who wanted to make things right. He went above and beyond and sent one of his staff to my home with the correct item, on a busy holiday morning no less! They don't even deliver, but Tommy still made it happen. I was pleasantly surprised by how fast he handled the situation. It's rare these days to find a business that takes immediate action to correct a mistake without any hesitation. My 'usual' order is called 'The Delray' It's a bagel of my choosing with two scrambled Eggs and American Cheese and I always add Cream Cheese. It's a solid order. My second favorite treat is their Black & White Muffin! It's a chocolate chip muffin with Black & White Cookie frosting on the top. It's unbelievable!!! A bustling place for lunch! I came on a Friday afternoon and ordered a white fish bagel. To my surprise, I wasn't offered any sides with my order although the rest of my party were. I chose an everything bagel which was nice and chewy. Your order at the counter, take a buzzer, and the find a table. We sat outside in the shade- which felt nice despite Florida heat. The white fish salad was good but it did have a couple bones in it which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. A lot of tables a long, long display case filled with fresh salads and knishes, and all kinds of other assorted noshes. I was immediately greeted by a very friendly face behind the counter, who explained to me how the ordering process works and what I need to do. I decided to try a nice bagel with cream cheese and a knish. Grab myself a table and waited patiently for my food to arrive. The bagel was soft and fresh. The knish was very warm, but overall not my favorite type of knish. It's not that it was bad. It just wasn't what I'm used to from New York as a knish. Was really excited to come to FL for a great LEO breakfast with a bialy and what a huge disappointment! Worst eggs I've ever eaten. Hard, overcooked and the bialy was toasted like a rock. Bagels With always hit a home run with their original location on Linton and Federal, but opening a second location with the breadth of offerings is often the sword in the heart that can lay down even the best of them. So, with that in mind, I was apprehensive when I learned they opened this location in west Delray at Atlantic and Lyons. Yesterday, I checked it out. I am thrilled to say they aren't laying down anytime soon! The quality of their food, the service, and the parking are as good or better than the original location. The bagels are made right there, and you can watch the process. They make a plethora of amazing muffins, an oversized but authentic bialy, and the prepped foods and salads look and taste just as I'd expect, great! My only complaint is they call pork roll "Taylor Ham" (if you know, you know) and the sandwich is called "The New Yorker." I'm A Jersey boy, we know when you have pork roll, egg, and cheese on a kaiser roll, that's a Jersey staple. But, my friend who ate it loved it even with the mistaken identity. When we first walked into Bagels with Deli, the entire place was absolutely packed. My wife and I got in line, probably behind 15 people, but they were surprisingly extremely fast to take everyone's order and make our food. I have to talk about the bacon and cheddar potato knish (photos attached). This is hands-down the best potato knish I have EVER had. The potatoes themselves were so creamy and moist and the bacon, cheddar, and chives added so much flavor! I can't wait to go back and get this again. Highly recommended. I also ordered a lean hot corned beef sandwich on seedless rye which was not bad but nothing to write home about. The meat was high quality and it was lean, but for some reason I just felt it was lacking flavor. I don't know if it was the meat or the Russian dressing that was on the bland side. It came with a side, I got cole slaw, and the cold slaw was fantastic but it was such a small portion, I wish it was larger. The entire staff was very friendly. I'll definitely go back but next time I'll probably try their pastrami or turkey instead of the corned beef. I'd still highly recommend trying this place out and judging it for yourself. read more

We both got bagels with lox and they were great! The service was quick and friendly, and although it was super busy and crowded (typical for a Saturday morning around 10am probably) we still were able to find a table and enjoyed the ambiance as it was very low key. But there's a lot of people working, so didn't wait too long to order. They're very patient as you decide between all the choices you have, salads, sandwiches, bagels, pastries etc. I got a bagel egg and cheese with tomato and avocado. It was huge and cooked perfectly. We were a little disappointed after our lunch visit today. But they are packed so I'm sure they won't miss out patronage. It's very loud here so don't plan on conversation with friends -- unless you sit outside. And tables were at a premium, so we had to hover and wait until someone left to find a seat. It helps to view their menu first -- to decide what to order beforehand. You stand in an order line by the counter and give your order to whoever is doing so at the time. I wasn't sure the gal taking my order understood what I wanted. After you order, you're given a number to put on your table. You then move to the pay line where you add drinks and pay your check. Your food is brought to you. I got their "hot" pastrami sandwich. It was lukewarm and tasted a bit processed. In fact, it was hard to tell that it wasn't corned beef. Their rye bread is the soft unseeded kind. And I mean soft all over even the outside crust part. Not my favorite as it had no "bite" or flavor to it. I did like their pommery mustard which was served on the side, however. And I also liked their sweet coleslaw. My husband got a tuna salad on rye with tomato.He said it was okay but he didn't care for their rye bread either. The food and service were both excellent during our lunch visit. Unfortunately the tuna melt had an unexpected and unpleasant surprise inside: a plastic close-tab (see picture). At least it wasn't melted into the sandwich! We reported it to the manager, who offered to provide another sandwich, but our friend had already eaten most of the sandwich by then. We primarily wanted the manager to speak with the staff about being more careful to ensure this mistake didn't happen again. The menu is quite extensive and offers a nice variety of breakfast and lunch fare, including several customizable items such as salad and power bowls. As we passed by the food in the refrigerated counter during the orderng process, we were impressed by how fresh everything looked. Despite the aforementioned plastic tab, the tuna melt was tasty and nicely prepared. We had the combo of 2 eggs, home fries and bagel. It was made to order and not greasy. The potatoes were a bit salty though. My bagel was toasted even though I hadn't ordered it toasted. The create-your-own salad bowl was excellent and the choices seemed endless. We enjoyed the salad with some goat cheese, cranberries, walnuts and raspberry dressing. Fresh and delicious! Even though this is a cafeteria style restaurant, the service was very good. The servers brought our food to our table and promptly followed up on additional items that we requested (ketchup, etc) We will definitely visit again... and will double-check our sandwiches for any unwanted surprise "ingredients". read more
