This is an obvious must for anyone who drinks coffee. The quickest and consistently best coffee in town and very conveniently located right in the center of town. This is also a terrific celeb spotting site, especially during the summer months! I think you can expect a certain level of customer service when visiting a Starbucks, or for that matter, in any business where you are spending money. Today I was in Starbucks waiting for my drink after spending over $30.00 for drinks. I am standing by the bar, watching the barista make my drink. She had a look of total disgust on her face. A look that says, I hate everyone and I hate working here. So ok, I can over look this, however, when it comes time to hand off my drink she takes the drink and pushes it across the counter at me. I caught it before it hit the floor, but not only did she not call my name, or say thank you, when I asked if this was really the way she wanted to serve my drink, she looked at me and said Yup! I asked to speak to the manager, and when Annie, the assistant manager finally came out from the back and I told her what happened, she looked at me and said, "I'm sorry." Nothing more. She could have cared less. I encourage anyone who pays for a service, if you are dissatisfied with the experience, to write a review and or write to the company. Hold people accountable. Ok, I normally don't give bad reviews because I feel it's bad karma, but this Starbucks deserves one. I just spent a week in Montauk. On the way to Montauk, we stopped for coffee. I placed an order for 6 beverages. We only got 5 and a manager had to come over and ask for a receipt to see if we paid the bill. I was fine with this. I am in the restaurant industry and sometimes mistakes happen. However on the way home, the EXACT same thing happened to me the same EXACT way! I was so irritated. And after the manager came over she served me my drink hot instead of cold. Needless to say, I threw it out and walked out. Both experiences lasted 15 minutes. A nice place to people watch and celebrity sight see. The service here is very fast and efficient so that you are not waiting forever to get your grande caramel macchiato with whipped cream. President Bill Clinton, Bethenny Frankel, and Alec Baldwin are amongst the many celebrities that frequent this location. I'm not a starbucks fan, but this happens to be one of the better ones around. This being the only one in East Hampton, they cater to the masses - and when I say masses, I mean it's always crowded. They get everyone in very quickly on the register and get everyone out very quickly. I consistently find this service true every time. read more

I love this starbucks. Perhaps it is because it is right on main street in East Hampton, but everyone is always cheerful and friendly. The line can form quickly, but the staff is quick and efficient (they also have a few bathrooms in the back so you can make a pit stop if you can't make it to your house or hotel and nobody will give you a dirty look)! read more

I received a warm smile and welcome at the door, then observed the 'baristas' working together like pieces of an assembly line. Live in Southampton and work in East Hampton. Three Starbucks between the two and the East Hampton one is the worst. They seem to be training new people every single time I go. Whatever the reason, this makes for slow service and lots of mistakes. Every.single.time. Got frustrated today after my simple order got messed up again. They need to get it together. Efficient in summer... terrible any time else. As a year round Hamptons goer and a daily Starbucks drinker, there is no greater contrast in quality than the East Hampton Starbucks. It's worth the drive to Bridgehampton or to Jack's in Amagansett. read more

Nice place to stop, I usually go there in the off season on my way to work to avoid crowds and assholes. I'm in and out of there. They have a pretty good staff. They have the Clove coffee machine which makes an awesome cup of coffee (iced or hot). Not a bad place at all. read more

Haven't visited this Starbucks in some time! The space looks beautiful after the renovation. I was happily surprised to see some of my favorite healthy treats at the counter. The service was friendly and fast. The barista did an excellent job multitasking under pressure. My caramel macchiato had just the right amount of caramel and perfectly steamed milk. This must be hands down one of the most difficult sites to operate, think about it, "The Hamptons" A complete logistical nightmare, material, equipment, staffing, the list goes on- add some of the most demanding clientele on earth and the need for the ability to go from zero to one hundred in about 1 minute - all i can say is; Well done all!!! Update on this Starbucks, 6/24/16. This Starbucks has really slipped, bathrooms are filthy, devoid of toilet paper and seat covers and most egregious of all, coffee orders are not correct repeatedly. We visit twice daily am and pm and situation is the same. More often than not, they don't make my order correctly and when asked to remake it, barristas are surly. Starbucks is a chain, therefore an iced mocha or any drink for that matter should taste the same, at any Starbucks. Rather than deal with the consistent errors at the EH location we stopped in Bridgehampton Starbucks this am. The barrista there didn't seem to speak English well and made my mocha with the 2 pumps of chocolate and 3 shots of decaf espresso but added water instead of milk each time. After 2 tries, we gave up and left. I then went into EH Starbucks and requested they remake it and was rewarded w a Venti iced mocha with only 2 shots of espresso. I had to explain that a Venti Iced mocha comes with 3 shots of espresso and was treated to a surly attitude by the barrista there. Clearly there is no uniformity in training. I may just have to give up coffee for the balance of our trip. Of all the Starbucks we've been in, in all 50 states, these 2 in the Hamptons seem to now be vying for worst Starbucks Ever! read more

The East Hampton Starbucks is by far the worst of the many I've frequented throughout New York and San Francisco. It seems there is definitely a management problem as the over staffed establishments employees are dragging their feet and you are still not able to walkout with a frapp in under 10 minutes. there is no excuse with only 3 costumers on line and several staff behind the counter. I noticed this behavior several times before. This last time I happened to order a frapp that was served mostly melted and the whipped cream thrown on one half without a care. I was already diss apointed at the look as I watched it being made. I had complained about the consistency and had been given an excuse and was forced to express even more diss appointment. I was insulted considering I spend about $150 a month visiting Starbucks as I watched the staff member mutter under her breath as another exceptable drink be made. I do not blame that staff member for her overall work ethic and performance as much as I blame the management not only for her performance but the overall performance of most of the staff. read more
