Starbucks was my favorite place, every morning that was my stop either on my way to work or a weekend I started with Starbucks. Lately I've noticed something has changed the lattes are mostly milk, I always order the cinnamon dolce I could barely taste the cinnamon and it was mostly milk. What really upset me was I felt a little ill afterwards like was the milk bad? I went to another location in a different area same deal the latte was more milk very little cinnamon. Walked in to place order. No issues, grabbed my coffee a Grande Americano with a splash of cream. Coffee was steaming hot, not just hot, steaming. Couldn't touch it, was at the rim so it was sloshing. Went back to counter and was ignored by the baristas. 9/13 went through the drive thru for my morning pick me up. The staff was very attentive and I was in no mood to make any decisions so i ask her to surprise me. I was surprised with a slice of pumpkin bread and a white chocolate mocha with pumpkin spice added. It was amazing. I frequent this location often unfortunately due to how close it is to my house and right on the path of my commute. I've rarely had a barista here who seems like they actually like their job, understandable as Starbucks isn't great to work for. But the lack of competence is what gets me. My drink is often made wrong and items are forgotten. Multiple times I've ordered blueberry oatmeal and never got the blueberries. More than once when I come back they say "oh we're out". Okay then mention that when I order instead of giving me something I didn't ask for. This morning was the cherry on top. Ordered an oatmeal and not only got what I didn't ask for as topping but water was filled to the brim. There's a literal line in the cup that says where to fill it to. If you can't figure out how to work at some place as simple as Starbucks where they spell it out for you then you're probably not going to get very far. read more

This Starbucks gets a lot of crap from the locals, & I think it's uncalled for. They aren't always able to stay open during their typical hours of operation, because they've struggled with not having enough employees to run the place - A common problem MANY businesses are facing, because people are choosing to take advantage of handouts from the government instead of going to work. I personally have always been very happy with my drinks and food. The breakfast sandwiches are really good! (The double smoked bacon is my favorite, & my kids love it too!) This Starbucks is consistent, fast, friendly, and personal to their community and customers. The place is always neat and clean but just a little bit on the loud side compared to most Starbucks. I use mobile orders for this location, and they always have my drink and pastries there, on time, and hot. I or my co-worker come here so often to pick up our drinks and each other's order that they are totally comfortable in giving you multiple orders if you picking up someone else's order. The location is genius, as it is in central location in Escalon and generates traffic from commuters and people coming in from Oakdale and Modesto. read more

Last weekend and this weekend around 7:30a I stopped for a coffee on my way up to Sonora. Last weekend I went in since drive-thru was busy, it took close to 5 mins for someone to take my order since all three Employees were working on drive-thru orders. Once my order was taken it seemed like it took 10 mins for someone to make it. Today I ordered via the app the emp that made my drink just put it on the counter, when I asked for a straw she seemed a bit bothered. I've been coming to this Starbucks for over 6 years I always order the same drink so I know just by looking at my drink if it is made correctly, this morning I placed my Mobil order just like I do every morning and when I went to pick it up I took a drink and knew it didn't have the quad shot I order and paid extra for. When I expressed that my coffee was not made correctly the girl told me she made it herself and it had a quad in it even though it clearly didn't I couldn't taste any coffee. One of the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. There was only one customer in front of me and it took the barista over 5 minutes to wrap up with her and get to our order. They just seemed to gab and not be concerned about other customers. All the meanwhile, the other employees were just hanging out at the bar area near the front door. Once I got my cheese Danish, it was burnt. I went to get napkins and there were none. I asked the drink maker for a napkin and he blew me off. I had to ask the cashier, and she laughed and said that she was gonna put napkins out but never got to it. Handed me a few napkins but made no effort to refill the napkin holder for other customers. The #1 priority in business is CUSTOMER SERVICE! They are great socializing amongst them selves, however, the girls seem a little "put out" to take care of their customers. This Starbucks location has always been professional and friendly until yesterday the Barista working the drive thru was rude and unprofessional to me. His name badge said GONZALO (w/ the piercing between his nostrils) I found him to be defensive when he got my simple order wrong. He tried to deflect the situation and said that all the drinks come w/ classic but in the past when I order every Barista has told me they do not add classic anymore to a black ice coffee. Regardless I could careless my order was wrong I understand mistakes happen. It was the way he reacted to me. It was unprofessional he kept making rude unnecessary comments to me. He told me that he cannot take my drink back then he insinuated I was going to litter because I opened my car door which he was wrong (I still have my cup). I felt uncomfortable by him it was like he wanted to pick an argument with me. Next time just say sorry (which he never did) correct the order and keep quiet would be the professional thing to do. I've been coming to this Starbucks for a while now since our company relocated to this city and I always order the same drink. I obviously don't work here duh but you just know what your drink tastes like every time! This morning I placed my order just like I do every other time. I am 100% sure I said ICED because I have made that mistake once which I always acknowledge because I understand mistakes happen! I get a hot drink when I get to the pick up window which is fine, I correct her and say it was suppose to be iced, not rude nor mad, I just want my drink made correctly. She takes the drink back and I assume asks to remake it..idk.. She gives me back the drink, iced.. but I already feel it isn't right.. I take off and sip on my way to work and its completely off.. No way they will admit but this hot drink was poured over an iced cup. The ice in my cup was nearly melted by the time I got to work and I work about 1 minute from Starbucks. I was really trying to ignore it and just drink it but I get to work and I just cant because it was extremely sweet and still semi warm (FYI) so I decided to give them a call. What a coincidence that when I call to express my concerns with minor details the girl just immediately knew what drink I was talking about, did you guys know this customer would call back? When I expressed that my drink was just poured over ice after being made hot the girl told me that it was not possible because they are not suppose to do that.. so now you're implying that I am liar?..ok lets assume I am wrong.. so what happened to my drink then?.. did they make it incorrectly because it was now made in a hurry? Possibly.. so why not sympathize with me and apologize for the inconvenience without giving an attitude? I don't care who I spoke to personally but the vibe you left me with is not just from you but from the company and the location you represent. I worked in customer service for over 11 years so I am pretty sure I know how to manage complaints. For one, please listen to your customer and do not cut them off and imply that the customer is incorrect. Thank you for offering to remake my drink again the next time I am there or to come back to pick up another but sometimes that is not necessary as sometimes the customer just wants to express their frustration. We just want our drink made right! Do not send them off with a bad vibe like its wrong to complain about something they paid for to be made correctly. Went into the store today and saw the 30-50% off rack with all the mugs on it so I took up one of the "California" mugs and asked the girl how much it was since it was on sale and she told me all the Cali mugs were not part of the sale. If that is the case there should be any California mugs on that "sale" rack, or she should have honored the sale price and then taken the non-sale mugs down and moved them to a correct location. read more
