I've lived over here for about 2 years & this is the closest one to me. I love making coffee at home but sometimes it's nice to just grab one on the go. The "holiday" drinks are a joke, don't even try to order them because they don't ever have them. Always out of cold brew, food, and kindness at this location as well. I don't think i've ever had a drink made right, it's a fun guessing game on how watered down and incorrect it is!! I don't frequent Starbucks very often because coffee ranks very low on my choice of beverage. Sometimes I am taken here by a coffee lover or asked to meet at one which is cool with me, I am happy to order green tea or hot chocolate. Almost every Starbucks that I have been to has little sections with cozy armchairs. This particular location is an exception. There isn't any cozy seating at all. Both times I've been here the girls working just look at you - no acknowledgments, nothing - and then they go back to working as if there are no customers. It's a long ass wait time when there is literally no one in here and here I sit... zero acknowledgements that my drink is maybe going to get made this decade. CUSTOMER SERVICE is non existent here. Wrong side of the bed- I was visiting this location with my nieces on 8/11/19. The cashier was great but the barista was the WORST! The cute family before us got their complete order promptly. I watched and wait patiently as she makes the drive thru orders, as she loudly and shamelessly states " If I don't get some help I will quit... I'm sorry but I mean I will do it. " at this point I don't know if I should ask for a refund or what?!? the person that was called to support her was taking out trash, checking restrooms,etc. He finally arrives ( who knows if he washed his hands) ‍. We are still waiting on our drinks (20 min wait) while I see the drive thru patrons come and go as well as a few customers that came after us. When we did get our order it was a drink here and drink there, not all together. The frappes were watery and the refresher was wrong. So, again we find ourselves waiting to correct this. This is not our usual Starbucks that we go to, but decided to change it up today! This is a new stand alone Starbucks. I like the look of the new stores. I feel at home at Starbucks because everyone is immersed in their work, phones, music, or laptops. I am not a big coffee drinker, so I usually go for the Chai Tea Latte. I ordered the Honey Ginger Mint Tea and they were out of of an ingredient so he did offer some other drinks but I had my heart set on that one. Soon after that they got a delivery but the ingredient was not in there. But later he found it and personally brought me my tea. He never forgot and kept looking. It's a Starbucks and another chain establishment. I like to comment more about the service, cleanliness, and the process experience when it comes chain restaurants because these are the main factors that vary between them. They all have the same menu but granted, some may be more familiar with "secret menu items" than others. This location has a DRIVE THRU, which many can appreciate. It is in it's own stand alone building, right next to McDonalds. It's a quick and easy jump off the high way, then get right back on. The drive thru is relatively quick, but you can see how it slows down the process if you go inside to order. I only go inside to order if I plan to get used coffee grounds to use as fertilizer for my garden. They give you the used coffee grounds for free of course. I have found, at locations in popular areas, that they actually will have the used coffee grounds packaged nicely and out front for people to grab from a large basket on the ground. Although, I haven't run into this a lot lately, so perhaps they are doing away with that. At this location, they gave me the used coffee grounds straight from the bin they put it into; i.e. it came out of a trash bin in a trash bag. The employees here have great customer service skills... or pretend to haha. I mean how can people be so nice so early?! I kid, I kid. I'm a morning person so I know exactly how haha. Anywayssss, they are really nice and patient. I ordered a drink with green matcha in it, which they happen to have ran out of. They asked me what drink I wanted instead. Not knowing many non-coffee related drinks I stumbled to give another order. They weren't impatient with me and offered suggestions. This location was also VERY CLEAN. You can go to some locations and the tables will be gross and the trash will be overflowing. I have been to many Starbucks and this one just does not seem to measure up. The floor is dirty, there have been two flies all over my table the whole time I was there. I know the standard for my tea is with two tea bags in other Starbucks across the nation, but they only gave me one. I'm not sure if it's a standard or simply in Texas, but most of the time they doubled the cups without me asking (because one cup does seem flimsy), but this one doesn't do that. One more less important observation which baffles me, the table surface has an "artsy design" to be uneven and bumpy, but I thought it's a table for drinks. Let me start by saying, I am not a coffee drinker. I visit Starbucks maybe three times a year...once for hot chocolate and couple times for cake pops. Today I rolled into Starbucks at 7:40 because I forgot to order catering for my 8:00 meeting. I asked for one of those "big box thingys of coffee....whatever flavor most people drink" They informed me it takes 15 minutes to brew one of those...I told them I didn't have time. They asked how many people in my meeting and suggested I get individual cups of coffee. Genius! I also wiped them out of bagels. Even with cars in the drive-thru wrapped around the building and onto the access road, they were quick, kind and super helpful. I walked into my meeting a couple minutes before 8:00 and was the star of the show with my Starbucks offering. Starbucks may be my new alternative to breakfast catering....lesson learned to call ahead though. read more
